Relax at Rocky Neck Hideaway
- Minimum stay:7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This charming one bedroom townhouse is located in a quiet, seaside neighborhood on Rocky Neck. It has water views and boating access and is just steps away from the water (bring your kayaks!). The living room and bedroom both have a waterview. You can relax on the pretty sun deck off the living room, with patio furniture and gas grill, flower boxes, and landscaping.
The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs (with a King-size bed or can be converted to two twin beds) and it easily sleeps two. New blinds in bedroom and bathroom add more privacy. The sleep sofa in the living dining area is full-size and can sleep one or two more.
The bathroom has just been upgraded, including a new shower surround and floor.
The kitchen is amply-sized and has all the modern conveniences (please ask if you want to use a juicer or a cuisinart, but it has all the usual appliances and utensils, etc.).
There is private parking for your car. This is a safe and friendly area where people often don't even lock doors!
Rocky Neck is a fun, festive art colony with many active music-filled restaurants and art galleries. There is a nearby theatre company. This house is on a very private street which ends at the water and so has no thru traffic.
It is a great getaway for a couple or single person to enjoy the summer in this lovely area. Gloucester and Cape Ann abound with many cultural and recreational activities.
This is available for 600-775/week, plus cleaning fees, depending on dates and duration of stay.

This place is just right for 2 people. We liked that we could walk to restaurants, art galleries, and a beach for great sunsets. The owner, who lives in the other half of the house, is helpful and unobtrusive. The spiral staircase took a short time to get used to, but was no problem for us. This is a very quiet spot and there was everything we needed in the house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1991
About the owner: I'm a physical therapist who is currently working full time. I love this area for all it's charm, natural beauty, availability of outdoor recreation, it's culture and it's quirky, artsy people! When I'm not working, I sometimes go kayaking in the ocean, take long walks on or along the beach with friends, bike or enjoy many of the cultural opportunities in the area. I look forward to giving tips to visitors on great places to go or to eat, if you'd like to know!
Why the Owner Chose Gloucester:
I decided to buy a vacation rental in this location because I wanted to spend time on Cape Ann, especially Rocky Neck, which is a beautiful and unique place, year round. I love to go hear the music 'on the Neck' on summer evenings or even taking a walk around Rocky Neck anytime. It's an easy trip to the water to paddle a boat or go for a swim.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Staying at this property is wonderful. As described in the listing, there are water views from the property and beautiful views all around, just steps away. You will find that the place is quiet, clean and charming and as many artists have said, the light is unique on Rocky Neck (and Cape Ann), which is why it attracts many artists. Almost any road on Rocky Neck has some kind of view of the water, so you can see great beauty from dawn to dusk and then there's the night sky....!
There are lots of fun things to do just an easy walk away from the property on Rocky Neck in the summer, as it's still a flourishing 'art colony'.
You will enjoy taking walks to several beaches, from here. It's just great!
