We enjoyed our stay, this is a beautiful and comfortable home, its decorated just right. The hot tub was very relaxing, and private, so nice to enjoy the river and the beautiful star filled sky from the comfort of the hot tub and deck. We'll definitely be backDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This house was such a great place for our girl trip. We found it to be clean and maintained and just beautiful. The river behind the deck has the most relaxing ambience. The trains were a surprise but it was so easy to just enjoy the weekend and quickly got used to it. We we able to walk into town and did some shopping, and sight seeing. Very impressed with Kirk the owner, we had some questions and he was available to us on the spot. I would recommed this home, and we plan on going back again! By the way the hot tub was the most absoulute best!!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

My family traveled from the bay area to meet my dad and stepmom coming down from Oregon. The kids and my husband fished and had a great time. The house is like camping on a river with amazing accommodations. The view was spectacular. We relaxed and barbequed on the deck. The hot tub was fantastic and trains were fun to listen too. We loved this place.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

Loved the house, roaming, kept doing laps around the living room and kitchen for no reason at all, funny! Hot tub kept good heat. Kitchen space was great for cooking. Sitting on the deck having cocktails and good converstaion was more than relaxing. I usually go to Hawaii every year but this hillbilly liiked this much more. Kids loved the water fall in town. The space, luxury, warmth, and decorating was very enjoyable and can't wait to tell everyone at home.Recommended for: Families with young children.

The house was very nice and clean. Located on the Sacramento River provides a relaxing setting listening to the water as it rushes by. What was not welcomed was the train that ran across the street and was VERY loud. We were traveling with a baby which impacted our stay tremendously not being able to sleep. The train ran as late as midnight and as early as 4:00 a.m.Owner response: Dunsmuir is a railroad town The train can be loud if the bedroom windows are left open at night

We enjoyed 4 nights in Dunsmuir. The river running by the house is tremendous right now. The house is lovely and well maintained. We swam at the Olympic size community pool right in Dunsmuir. We relaxed for a day (with our dogs) on a patio boat rented at Holiday Harbor on Lake Shasta. It is true that the train runs right through Dunsmuir, but we got used to it. How often do kids get a chance to actually count the cars and try guessing how long the train is?Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers.

Who would have thought that we would get rain on Memorial Day weekend! But everything turned out just fine, given the gas stove and very nice Hot Tub over looking the river. Definitely would recommend - ignore train mentions, they are really a non-issue, walking distance to Cafe Magdelena!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This cabin was the perfect location for a long weekend get together with some of my family and friends. I did a lot of online research in order to find a house that I loved. This cabin looked great online and was even better in person. It is a cozy and beautiful home in perfect condition with luxurious amenities and a killer location. We were just a short drive from the mountain and were able to snowboard all day/night and come right home to a comfy warm home with heated floors and a hot tub! The owners of this home are very helpful and kind; I will definitely recommend this house to friends and family in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We appreciate your review of our home and hope you, your family and friends can enjoy our home again in the future. The Youngs
