Waterfront cottage on beautiful Newfound Lake, New Hampshire's 'best kept secret'. Our cottage condo shares a 300 foot sandy beach on the east side of this crystal clear lake with only 22 units. Conveniently located less than 2 hours north of Boston in the small town of Bridgewater, in the heart of the Lakes Region. Lake Winnipesaukee, Weirs Beach and the lovely town of Meredith are a scenic 30 minute drive.
We have renovated and updated our cottage over the years and have made it very comfortable for your family vacation. We border Wittemore Brook as well as fronting Newfound Lake allowing for a private setting. Sun fills the cottage all day, and the sunsets over the mountains are like no others.
Exterior renovations were complete in 2012 and interior updates are ongoing. You may not recognize the place. Looks great if we do say so ourselves. New front garden area as well.
We have beach chairs and a paddle boat for your use. We have added 2 kayaks this year as well. There is an outside chat table with chairs and a combination gas and charcoal grill (new). New for 2013 is that we will be supplying linens. This has been a frequent request from our out of state visitors and for everyones ease we will supply quality sheets and towels (including beach and kitchen). We have increased the rent for 2013 but we think you will enjoy the additional improvements that are yet to be completed.
There is fishing (license required), hiking, golf, and several New Hampshire attractions, including Sculptured Rocks, The Polar Caves and Lost River. We also boast several area restaurants.

We visited Newfound Lake for a wedding. This cottage is charming and is right on the water. Though it does sleep 6, it is a cottage by the traditional definition. One of the rooms has a trundle bed, making it perfect for a family with kids. Marilyn was very communicative before our visit, making sure we had all we needed, including local suggestions for things to do. Although, we had a little snafu with the postal service, she was very good about working with me to resolve it. The fact that she was so responsive really made the trip all the more pleasant.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: As a result of the USPS (snail mail) loosing not 1but 2 pieces of mail we have registered with PayPal. Hopefully this will make the reservation and rental process easier for those who wish to use it. Allison and I resolved the issue together with positive results. We're so glad they enjoyed our cottage and it's waterfront location on Newfound Lake.

The property was everything the listing said it would be and more. The access to the lake was great and the privacy on the side of the cottage was perfect. Beautiful views beautiful sunrises and quiet seclusion when you wanted it. Everyone in the surrounding cottages were friendly and helpful. I spent many summers on this property growing up and it is even more beautiful. We spent the week of July 7 th 2012 and were joined by our children and grand kids. Everyone cant wait for next summer. A pristine location. I would recommend this property to any one looking for an enjoyable and relaxing vacation spotRecommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

What a great place! An adorable cottage, decorated to perfection, and loaded with everything you would need. The location was great. Awesome views and great water access. The beach and the paddle boat were wonderful for the kids. The owners were exceptional to work with. We had many family members staying at other cottages in the area and this was by far the best compared to the other cottages. My family just returned from a wonderful vacation at this cottage. The house is very well decorated and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The location on the brook with a clear view to the lake is beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed having our coffee while enjoying the view and the quiet. Great home and great location!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+.

About the owner: We purchased the cottage when our boys were young. We are now empty nesters and still enjoy the lake and it's peaceful setting.
Why the Owner Chose Newfound Lake:
We knew we wanted the east side of the lake for the sunny afternoons. We were unfamiliar with the area when we purchased but our neighbors and many renters have been coming to Newfound Lake for generations. There are several girls and boys camps on the lake. You may know that the President's daughter spent a few weeks on Newfound Lake in 2011.
It is so clean, quiet and inviting. It is known as 'New Hampshire's Best Kept Secret'.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
I particularly enjoy sitting at the table in the breakfast area, surrounded by windows and sunshine. Now with our new casement windows it has a real cottage feel.
