Pistoia, remembered as the "cradle of gardens", is today the Italian capital of plant and flower nurseries : all around our house you can enjoy a unique panorama : trees and flowers of all kinds encircled by the hills of Montalbano and the Apennines .

We found heaven on earth! There were 6 of us women celebrating our 50th birthday and fortunately, we chose to stay at this beautiful and relaxing farmhouse. Immediately upon our arrival, we met our gracious and beautiful hostess, Elena, and our sweet, new friend, Dina! Elena did everything she could to make us comfortable. The house is clean, spacious, comfortable, and has everything you could possibly need. We loved sitting outside on the patio having morning coffee, a happy hour wine, and dinner, all while taking in the beautiful and quiet surroundings of Pistoia. We enjoyed the conversations with Elena and listening to the history of Pistoia, and most especially enjoyed her delicious zucchini (fresh from her garden) dinner she prepared for us on our last night stay. I highly recommend this beautiful home for your stay. You will not be sorry!

My family and I stayed here for a week in May of 2009 and it was great. It was great being in the country at the farm house although we were only minutes from local shopping etc. Everything was perfect and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I just realized when I referred a guy to this home that I had never written a review. ie: the reason for being so tardy. Thanks Alana for a great stay at the farmhouse. We stayed at this charming farmhouse for one whole week while traveling in Tuscany. First, the location could not possibly be better!!!! Secondly, Elena Agostini was super friendly and her Italian hospitality was WONDERFUL! She was sweet, pleasant and most importantly, cared about this place! She lives right next door so anytime we needed anything, she was there to help us. In fact, our washing machine was not working at the time. So, Elena took our clothes and washed them for us at her house!!!! She dried and folded them for us, too. She was absolutely wonderful! The place accommodated us (4 people) so well, the working fireplace just adds to this house's charm, the access to a fully equipped kitchen was very useful, and Elena's hospitality was the icing on the cake. All in all we had a great experience and would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

What a delightful experience!! The residence was extremely comfortable, with thought to given to loads of details. We loved enjoying the sunshine and breeze in the outdoor garden. We especially enjoyed the company of our gracious hostesses, Elena and Dena. Dena loved to roll around on the cool marble floor. (doggie.) We'll never forget this experience, and hope to return one day.

Dear Tommaso, We had a lovely time at AgoHouse this summer, but I was sorry I did not get to meet you. Your mother Elena, however, is charming, friendly, and delightful! It was always interesting talking with her. And we absolutely loved Dina! We don't have a dog of our own, but enjoy playing with them (as long as we don't have to take care of them!), and Dina was fun and adorable. I looked forward to seeing her every day, especially when she wanted to play ball. We took lots of photos of her because she is so cute! I would get a dog if it were like Dina! We also enjoyed our cooking lesson with Ilaria, and it was our first experience preparing rabbit. Delicious! But the big hit was the zuppa di fagiole & farro, and we will definitely make that at home. I must say that there was no trace of cigarette odor in the house, so my worries were unfounded. We began our Italian adventure at this farmhouse, and we were so pleased that we did. The apartment is perfect.. a large bedroom, good kitchen and space to stretch out, including a lovely space off the bedroom. The family is wonderful.. only their daughter speaks English, but we certainly communicated somehow with them all. I heartily recommend this quiet getaway.. close to Florence but situated in a beautiful, quiet, lovely setting!

We highly recommend Agostini's Farmhouse for your visit to Tuscany. We have just returned from our 3-week stay and had a wonderful experience with our family of 8! The accommodations were even better than we anticipated, and Elena and her son Tommaso were gracious hosts who assisted us with whatever we needed. Elena and her sister-in-law Grazziela came to our rescue in planning our daughter's wedding. With very little notice, they helped us find the perfect wedding site, an historic villa in Quarrata, plus a good photographer. To top it off, Elena created a beautiful floral arrangement and bridal bouquet with flowers from her garden! We are truly grateful to Elena and consider her a new found friend. Pistoia is ideally located for day trips to Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Sienna. It was a true pleasure returning to the farmhouse each day where we could unwind in a peaceful, country setting.
