New Years Peaceful Bliss

Guest: Canada (Calgary)
Date of Stay: 12/28/11 Review Submitted: 02/03/12

We spent 5 nights at this beautiful log cabin over the New Years. It was a wonderful, cozy place for our family of 12 to have a getaway from Calgary, Canada. The distance to Columbia Falls, Whitefish and Kalispell was a short drive(15-20min) and to the Big Mountain ski resort about 35min. It is nestled into the base of the mountain which makes this place nice and secluded, lots of room for the kids and dogs to play outside. There is lots of hiking and wildlife right out the front door. Teresa and Brett were wonderful hosts and made our trip that more memorable! I must also say that the kids loved watching the wild turkey's walk by everday as well.

Christmas in the Flathead

Date of Stay: 12/22/11 Review Submitted: 01/02/12

This log house was a fabulous place for us to gather for the Christmas week, with family coming from Montana, Washington and Back East. The accommodations were excellent, with comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, and the cozy and warm gas fireplace. We enjoyed the hot tub each and every night!! The owners decorated the house for the holidays with all the important details. It was a truly peaceful place and we enjoyed watching the turkeys wander across the front yard. We highly recommend this property!

I thought it was a perfect setting for our group! We truly enjoyed the log cabin that was filled with delightful and fun items that made us feel like we were actually living in Montana and not just visiting. We were there for three weeks and we never felt crowded, yet very cozy and comfortable. The log cabin was very clean and the amenities were more than adequate. We enjoyed the big grassy yards on the side and in the front for family picnics, bow and arrow contests, volleyball, soccer games, watching the wild animals, and simply swinging on the porch in the evenings. We also enjoyed hiking up to the lovely waterfall which is on the property. The owner was always ready to do whatever was necessary to help us feel at home. The location was very convenient for us to get to Glacier Park, Kalispell, Bigfork, and Whitefish. We all had a great time at the local water park and at the rodeos shows, too. We felt like we truly experienced Montana mountain living while we lived in our own log cabin for three weeks! We loved the privacy of being in the woods, yet the cabin itself was out in the open with lots of sunshine around it and open areas. Plus, it has a view of the mountains behind us, which was truly peaceful. We wouldn't hesitate recommending it to our friends and relatives. Thank you so much!

Dream vacation

Guest: Bob and Cheryl (Upton, MA)
Date of Stay: 07/16/08 Review Submitted: 07/22/11

My husband and I and most of our grown children with spouses stayed here a few years ago. It was the most awesome vacation ever. The house is very spacious, fully stocked, clean and in a beautiful location. The property is secluded, and quiet. The location is great, being close to Glacier National Park and also the Flathead Lake area. The owners gave us our privacy yet were so helpful. Soon after arriving, the owner willingly led us on a hike to the waterfall on the property and up to a location where we had a beautiful view of of the farmlands below. The owner even surprised us with a home baked pie. Every person in our family agrees that it was a great location and we loved the house. It more than met our expectations. The photos of the property are pretty good but it is even nicer in person. We like hiking and stayed there particularly to see Glacier N.P. but there is plenty to do there within a fairly short drive, whitewater rafting, swimming, shopping and going out to eat.
