PILOTS. The Loire Valley is an ideal stopover for visiting foreign pilots. Land at Amboise/Dierre (LFEF) and Brian, an experienced pilot, will ensure that all your tourist and aviation needs are satisfied.
The Loire Valley is well known for its numerous chateaux, quality wines and delicious food and also for its caves; that is, its "troglodyte" history. Julius Cesar used natural caves in this area to stock food for his soldiers during the invasion of Gaul. Later, excavation for the stone ("tuffeau") for the construction of chateaux resulted in numerous additional caves some of which are still used for habitation.
Because Therese has lived in many Asian countries she is qualified to provide instruction in French and Asian cooking. Private lessons can be arranged.
There are no cooking facilities in the room; However, tea/coffee making facilities are provided.
Access by car from the A10 auto route, by high-speed train (TGV) or by air (RyanAir) is without difficulty. Parking is in the courtyard in front of the cave. English is spoken. |
