PILOTS. The Loire Valley is an ideal stopover for visiting foreign pilots. Land at Amboise/Dierre (LFEF) and Brian, an experienced pilot, will ensure that all your tourist and aviation needs are satisfied.
The Loire Valley is well known for its numerous chateaux, quality wines and delicious food and also for its caves; that is, its "troglodyte" history. Excavation for the stone ("tuffeau") for the construction of chateaux resulted in numerous caves some of which are still used for habitation.
There are no cooking facilities in your room; However, tea/coffee making facilities are provided.
Access by car from Paris via the A10 auto route, by high-speed train (TGV) from Paris or Charles de Gaulle Airport or by air (RyanAir) is without difficulty. English is spoken.
Renting a car is necessary so as to have access to Amboise (6 km) and also to visit the numerous tourist features of the Loire Valley. Convenient car rental is available at the TGV station in Tours (St Pierre des Corps). Our GPS coordinates are N47 26' 57.2" and E001 00' 52.5".
Preferred guest arrival time is 5PM or later. However, an earlier arrival is certainly possible. An email or courtesy phone call to Therese +33 (0)2 4730 1041 is all that is required.

My husband and I spent three days in early August at Thérèse and Brian's bed and breakfast. It is everything that the website suggests...exceptional hospitality including excellent suggestions for day trips and dinners in the evening, comfortable and interesting accommodations including a good bed, delicious breakfasts, and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape from its elevated position above the Loire Valley. We definitely recommend it. Thank you,Thérèse, for your generous hospitality. We will remember our visit to La Pâquerie.

We spent three peaceful nights and couldn't have been happier. Not only was the cave luxurious and fully equipped, but Therese was a delight. It was lovely to get up each morning and be greeted by her at the breakfast table. We asked for restaurant recommendations and she even made the dinner reservations for us. We have been to France many, many times and we thought those small family run, high quality, reasonably priced restaurants had vanished, not so. We would not have found them easily on our own. Unfortunately Brian was out of town, so we missed meeting him. That will have to wait until we return. This is a wonderful place to stay, we can't say enough about the warm and hospitable atmosphere.

My husband and I recently stayed with the Morgans wile we were in France. Our experience with them was beyond anything we could have imagined. Our "room" was in fact one of the famous troglodyte caves of the Loire and had recently been remodeled. It was so cozy and quiet at night and bright and open during the day and kept very clean. Therese and Brian were wonderful to talk to and had wonderful suggestions for the region, plus they were just wonderful to talk to in general. Therese was so helpful to us by talking to our airline to help us recover our lost luggage. Their location was perfect if you are there for the local wine and the very many chateaux. They were never more than 30 minutes from the absolute farthest chateau and had most within a 15 minute drive. Whatever has brought you to the Loire Valley, this B&B is exactly what you're looking for! We highly recommend this gem of the Loire, you will not find better service, a more comfortable room or better food at a 5 star hotel. Brian and Therese were the most gracious of hosts and make you feel right at home. We cannot wait to return to the Morgans B&B, it was a highlight of our trip.

We just returned from a two night visit (Sept 17 & 18th, 2010), and I must say this was the most interesting and comfortable place we stayed in our two weeks in France. Brian and Therese are wonderful! Brian is very knowledgeable and helpful with expert information about the property and the area, and Therese is a dear talented lady who is warm and friendly, not to mention her great homemade jams and superb breakfasts. Be sure to see her beautiful paintings, as she is an accomplished artist also. Don't miss staying at this B&B! You will be the only one there, as they only have the one room built into the hillside. It is amazing! Jeff & Joy

My husband and I stayed here in 07. What attracted us was the "cave" bedroom. The best kept secret in the Loire Valley. We are from the USA and talk about going back to France and going to the CAVE is what we talk about all the time. We will be back Teresa. Also, Teresa set up a wine tour for us and it was unbelievable !!!! Thank you Teresa

After two hectic weeks in Paris our stay at "La Pacquerie" was an answer to prayer. The location, amenities and, especially, the gracious and warm welcome by our hosts, Brian and Therese, was a perfect ending to our visit to France. The serenity and relaxed atmosphere of their lovely home was just what the doctor ordered. Their recommendations for dinner, sightseeing and general information about the area were well advised and very worthwhile. Therese's breakfasts were excellent and her decorating and artistic skills were evident in every portion of the house. The opportunity to share an aperitif one evening with our hosts was an especially enjoyable time. We would definitely recommend this small slice of heaven to anyone who wants an enjoyable experience in the Loire. Thank you, Brian and Therese, for allowing us to share a few brief moments of your lives.

We would like to thank you both for a wonderful stay in your B&B. The ambiance was just what we were looking for. From the sumptuous breakfasts with Therese's delicious jams to our "Sunset Suppers"- a must, under the umbrella to watch the balloons, listen to the birds and see the moon rise. Thank you also Brian for your expert navigational skills!
