Therese and Brian (Retired Airline Pilot) propose to accommodate you in a beautifully renovated independent room built into the limestone cliff in their courtyard.
Breakfast is included and is taken inside the house or on the terrace overlooking the Loire Valley. The house presents you with a subtle mixture of antique European and Asian furniture, Asian artifacts and modern paintings and photos - all reflecting the extensive travels of Brian and Therese.
For those who love calm and elegance this will be a delightful, peaceful experience that emphasizes nature and quality of life. Your private terrace enables you to relax in complete privacy. Your welcome is assured all year round, as this cave-bedroom remains cool in the heat of summer and snug with central heating in winter.

Amboise is famous for its royal chateau and the 'Clos Luce", the home of Leonardo de Vinci. We are a short drive from all the renowned chateaux of the Loire Valley and you can visit local markets, charming villages or participate in wine tasting.
PILOTS. The Loire Valley is an ideal stopover for visiting foreign pilots. Land at Amboise/Dierre (LFEF) and Brian, an experienced pilot, will ensure that all your tourist and aviation needs are satisfied.
The Loire Valley is well known for its numerous chateaux, quality wines and delicious food and also for its caves; that is, its "troglodyte" history. Excavation for the stone ("tuffeau") for the construction of chateaux resulted in numerous caves some of which are still used for habitation.
There are no cooking facilities in your room; However, tea/coffee making facilities are provided.
Access by car from Paris via the A10 auto route, by high-speed train (TGV) from Paris or Charles de Gaulle Airport or by air (RyanAir) is without difficulty. English is spoken.
Renting a car is necessary so as to have access to Amboise (6 km) and also to visit the numerous tourist features of the Loire Valley. Convenient car rental is available at the TGV station in Tours (St Pierre des Corps). Our GPS coordinates are N47 26' 57.2" and E001 00' 52.5".
Preferred guest arrival time is 5PM or later. However, an earlier arrival is certainly possible. An email or courtesy phone call to Therese +33 (0)2 4730 1041 is all that is required.
