Charmed Cottage was built in 1974. The cottage is uniquely placed on 11 acres of private land at the end of the road and at the top of the mountain. The cottage is cradled on two sides by the mountain on which it sits, the rest is 'the view'.
Totally renovated from top to bottom and new on the market as of April 17, 2008. This charming cottage has wood ceilings and windows galore. The windows and doors are said to be from an old mansion in Asheville. It is situated on the mountain in such a way that it never gets the direct afternoon sun which keeps it perfectly cool during summer months.
Beautiful plantings bring a bounty of floral surprises throughout the year. The natural stream and waterfall add to the beauty and relaxation of this cottage hide-away.
The cottage features four decks:
- an intimate dining deck with a spectacular view
-an intimate conversation deck with a spectacular view
- one huge deck, the size of a four car garage for group get-togethers (maybe weddings) or lazing the day away
- one large deck on a grassy knoll with 6-8 person hot tub and that spectacular view
PLEASE NOTE: Not suitable for those with knee problems or health concerns. The cottage was built in the 70's and stair risers are higher than normal and the loft stairs are steeper than normal. NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE.
The cottage also features:

~Three bedrooms & sleeping nook (sleeps 7).
~Two king beds, two twin-size beds & luxury twin futon bed. Twin beds can be converted to king prior to your arrival. So...essentially, we can sleep 6 adults in 3 high-quality king beds with luxurious linens and one other adult/child.
~Cashmere-like robes for 6 adults.
~Refrigerator with ice-maker, a dishwasher and a new gas range & microwave.
~Two living areas: one for reading and conversation by the fire
(with that spectacular view) and the other for watching TV.
~Two dining areas: a dining counter for 6 and dining table for 4.
~We have three flat panel TV's - all with DVD player built in.
~Large collection of DVD's for your viewing pleasure.
~DirecTV Satellite TV
~Wireless high speed internet connection.
~CD Player with IPod Dock.
~Local telephone service with an answering machine.
~All furnishings are new, beautiful and luxurious.
~Two full baths (one with refinished claw foot tub and the other a modern walk-in shower) and one half bath in the loft.

If you are looking for the perfect cottage to rent, you found it!!! The charmed cottage is an amazing place. What you see in the pictures, is what you get. A perfect blend of nature and luxury. The cottage has everything you can possibly need and more. Oh, the sheets!!! The sheets in the beds are 5 star hotel quality. It is a beautiful, comfortable and luxurious cottage inside, surrounded by nothing but nature (very private). The views from the house and the hot tub are inspiring and incredible! I 100% recommend this place. It was a prefect place to have a fun and relaxing vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

About the owner: I love Asheville! I live in Houston and, amazingly, manage our properties easily from afar. I own Sanctuary Spa in Houston. Many of our guests tell me our cabins are 'spa-like'...no wonder! I look forward to the day I get to move to Asheville. I've been working on it for many years and life events get in the way. Hopefully summer of 2013...keep your fingers crossed for me/us. I am in a relationship with David Robinson for 12 years now. He has also invested in a property in Asheville. All total we have three properties - Charmed Cottage, Chalet Quietude and Woodlands Chalet.

Well - I said it before - I LOVE Asheville. I want to live in Asheville. It brings joy to my heart. I love the forest, the mountains, the sunrise, the sunsets, the snow, the summer, the ever changing views from all of our cabins - you name it - I LOVE Asheville.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Charmed Cottage is on 11 acres and it has a stream. I love the serenity, the privacy and the huge hot tub. The house is just about all windows and you can see everywhere. The decks are awesome (3 attached to the house). Even though it is a large cottage, it is extremely intimate. It is cozy, comfortable and spacious (ha). I love that it is one mile up the road from the main road and at the top of the mountain. The property was built by a child actor who originally owned the entire mountain...wouldn't that be great - own a mountain. I love it at the Charmed Cottage.
