BEACHFRONT VILLA DEL MAR IS THE ONLY FOUR BEDROOM VILLA IN PLAYA LAS TORTUGAS! It sits in a stand of coconut palms and tropical gardens on a spectacular 5 mile pristine undeveloped beach. Our soft sand flat beach is perfect for swimming and long leisurely strolls and
is a protected turtle nesting habitat. Witnessing giant sea turtles as they come up to our beach to lay eggs is a memorable experience! Or join volunteers at our neighboring turtle rescue center release baby turtles back to the sea!
Boogieboards and soft-top surfboards are complimentary for our guests to enjoy one of the best surfing spots on the coast. Canoes and sea kayaks are provided for exploring the spectacular adjacent estuary, home to hundreds of bird species and other wildlife.
Our private Tahitian-inspired 200 sq.ft. beachside palapa is the perfect spot to practice yoga, hammock lounge, whale watch, or gather for sunset drinks to toast the end of a perfect day in paradise!
The villa's interior features hand-crafted Mexican furnishings and Central American artifacts, showcased under a soaring 20 foot traditional palapa ceiling, creating an ambiance that reflects our serene setting.
For those who want to stay connected, we offer wireless internet and an indoor/outdoor sound system for CDs and Ipods. Each of the four private bedrooms opens to its own beach facing patio and sitting area.
Traditional Talavera tile accents a gourmet kitchen that is fully-equipped for the casual or more serious chef. For those seeking total relaxation, meals can be provided by our cook, highlighting the delightful local cuisine. Or freshly caught seafood can be enjoyed at nearby seaside open-air restaurants. We had a WONDERFUL time! It is, hands down, the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. Everything was exactly as described and better. Elvira and the ladies out did themselves every day with the food. We had more than we could have ever dreamed of eating. The house was spotlessly clean and so comfortable to stay in. There is so much room in there, and the wrap around porch was the best. Everyone loved being able to wake up in the morning and look out at the ocean and listen to the waves. Andres was so helpful. He helped the boys peel a coconut and drink the milk! He takes such pride in his job, it shows in the condition of the grounds. The flowers were beautiful and add such a nice touch. Great house, great beach, great staff. It was a Five Star Holiday. Thank you so much, I am telling everyone I know about it! Curt and Becky Knoepke Cole, Schafer, Devin and Riley.

Villa Del Mar "had an amazing effect on both of us. The beach goes on forever...They have kayaks for your use to explore the 1100 acre estuary. I highly recommend staying here and would gladly give you more details if interested. The place is nicer then our own casa up here in the sierras. It had a 21 foot ceiling in the great room which is similar to ours but OCEANFRONT!!!!!!!!"
