Oregon Coast Vacation Rental by the Sea
Year Purchased: 2002
Why the Owner Chose Garibaldi
This was our grandparents home they built in the 70's, so we pretty much grew up here. We love the coast, family and friends that live nearby. This town, Garibaldi, has alot of history and some of the best fishing, crabbing and clamming. It is tucked away from the wind which blows in from the sea. Garibaldi is a great little fishing village yet so close to big towns like Tillamook and Seaside (a beautiful drive up hwy 101). Also, this town is surrounded by tons of beaches and mountains which makes it one of the greatest places to be.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Tillamook bay gives you easy access to charter boats, steam engine train rides, cheese factory, lighthouses, waterfalls, museums, Sandlake dune park, several rivers, old Blue Spruce forest (which has the biggest known Spruce in Oregon), the Octopus tree and tons, tons more. Other major reasons that make our property desirable to stay at is walking out on the wharf to watch the sun set over the bay or watching the Blue Heron's nest in trees, on the hill, behind our house.

We stayed at the property in July 2011, and knew immediately that our visit would be memorable once we entered through the front door. We looked around both up and downstairs and found ourselves brought back to a very happy place --- visiting Grandma's house during the summertime. The kitchen was well-stocked (VERY important to us foodies) and the sleeping rooms quite comfortable. During our four-day, three night stay, we made hearty breakfasts in the kitchen and cooked chicken and steak dinners on the outdoor grill. Listening to music, reading books, watching movies and TV and teaching our son billiards made for a peaceful and pleasant stay. It looks like we may have found our 'home away from home' on the Oregon coast --- we look forward to a return visit!

We visited this house at the end of July--two couples, one young adult, and two dogs. The location is terrific...minutes away from good restaurants, close to beaches and walking distance to fresh fish stores. The house is huge with plenty of room and a really nice kitchen. Outside fenced dog run was a big plus and hard to find at vacation houses.

Four friends stayed here for the weekend. The arrangements were easy and the house was very clean and well stocked. Easy access for our elderly friend with just 7 steps up the split entry access. The game area was impressive but we were too busy catching up to take advantage of it. Would be great for couples or kids to keep everyone entertained. The open plan of the living room and dining room made it very comfortable to visit and it was nice to take turns preparing dinner and continuing the visit. It was easy to clean and put everything back in order at the end of the weekend. A wonderful place to spend time in the Tillamook area with easy access to the beach and area attractions. Wish we could have stayed longer but duty called us all home.

3 of my freinds and I recently stayed at the Big G rental. We were down for some fall fishing and crabbing. This house is just awsome. Plenty of room to park the boat and plenty of room for the guys. A very nice warm setting and fun place to stay. The home owners were very pleasent to rent from and very helpfull. Thanks Very Much. We will be back for more stays at the Big G.

We recently took a trip to the Oregon Coast and were lucky enough to stay at this property. It was so nice to come back from the beach or crabbing/fishing and have the place to ourselves. The kids had a blast playing pool and foosball in the evening while the adults enjoyed drinks and a movie in front of the big-screen TV. Everyday was a new adventure mixed with some good old coast standbys like kite flying, crabbing, fishing and beach combing. I can’t wait to go back!
