It was such a treat to stay in this house on our vacation. The house was lovely, the neighborhood friendly and quaint and the location very convenient. We appreciate the friendliness of the home owners and the cleanliness and charm of the property. Thanks for a great place to stay!

All the reviews are spot on with these properties. The ride into Arabi (6.5 miles from the convention center and less to the French Quarter) was a little intimidating but once your there, the whole area is comfortable and friendly. Jerry is an amazing asset to Harold, because of his ability to make you feel right at home. The vision that Harold has, and the great people that work for him, makes the New Orleans experience extra special. The only thing that I didn't enjoy was leaving... I would recommend this to anyone wishing to experience New Orleans like a local.

My family and I were visiting for only a quick weekend and didn't want to stay in a hotel. We made the absolute right decision by choosing this beautiful home. The home is so very cozy and charming and the yard and gardens are quite a special treat. The home owners were helpful and attentive. We could not have asked for a better stay. We will definitely be back!

Our 5th Annual "COUSINS TRIP".... "GIRLS ONLY" if you will...... and we decide to go to New Orleans!!! YEP.. and we settle on renting the house at HAROLDS! We were fortunate to have a little inside info as two of the cousins are nieces of Harold.. tho we all actually claim him! WHAT A MAN! The house was immaculate... beautifully decorated..... and so accomodating for ALL SEVEN OF US GIRLS! In fact we had room for more! Outside was just as breathtaking... with all of the beautiful landscaping and unusual plants. The location.... the hospitality.... the accomodations..... the atmosphere ..... was simply OUTSTANDING! THANKS HAROLD FOR MAKING AVAILABLE SUCH A PLACE FOR PEOPLE TO COME AND ENJOY WHAT YOUR TALENTS HAVE PROVIDED AND YOUR HEART HAS ALLOWED YOU TO SHARE WITH OTHERS! WE WILL BE BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a truly wonderful experience staying at this house!!! It is beautifully decorated and the landscaping is amazing! The backyard is perfect for relaxing and/or partying. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and we felt very safe there. We enjoyed everything about our stay here and most of all getting to know Harold (owner). He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to everyone we know traveling to NOLA!

My two friends and I arrived to New Orleans for the first time and somehow stumbled on this gem. Harold and Jerry were so gracious and hospitable, it really touched everyone in our crew. The house itself was amazing, the backyard an oasis. The front porch is the perfect place to sit and chat over your beverage of choice. I tell all my friends in Houston to stay here. We'll definitely be back! Thanks again, y'all!

The pictures of this house does NOT do justice. This house is 10 times better than the pics displayed. The house is in immaculate condition with contemporary decor and furniture, wrap around patio..with beautiful garden oasis in front and back of the house.with exotic plants..even sme inside of the home..the pool is perfect and relaxing..Harold and Jerry were AWESOME!! I mean Harold opens up his house to you..if you need anything I mean anything at all..he will get it for you or take it from his own house..for a bunch of girls staying in this house we felt REALLY secure..I must say we were a bit nervous at first driving thru st. claudes but once we arrived it was PARADISE..Harold you have made our vacation memorable for a lifetime!! You have put so much hard work into these houses and it shows!! I mean each room had plasma screen tvs..and beautifully colored walls and exquisite paintings and wall hangings and the price was less than a hotel but with better amenities..I am still soaking up the experience..it was phenomenal!! THANKS A MILLION..we will definitely be back again..not only for essence festival but any other time we come to New Orleans..couldn't have asked for anything better!! We miss you already..and Jerry thanks for all the advice on places to go and see and eat at..truely a blessing..thks again!!!

For those of you traveling to NOLA and need a place to stay, look no further! I recently spent two weeks here while working in the area. This house is beautiful both inside and out. We spent every night on the patio/garden by the pool relaxing after a long day at work. The house is equiped with anything you could need along with a BBQ on the deck, which got used often. The owner stopped by often to see if we needed anything. you could not ask for a better host!! Thanks Harold. The French Quarter is a 5 minute drive away. If you have to be away from home...on business this is a great place to be. I will be back everytime I travel to New Orleans.

We arrived in New Orleans to help rebuild the city on July 12, 2008 and left on March 12, 2009! Eight months of feeling like we were home. This property is an Oais situated in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from all the excitement. The decor is cultured, the grounds and pool are lucious and inviting but the best part is the owner makes you feel like family. We do our research and would not stay anywhere else in New Orleans. A Must See! We Miss You Harold, Love To The Kids!!

We stayed in this house for a week and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of it. The owner has exquisite taste in decorating and landscaping, the salt-water pool is a delight, and the price is very reasonable. It is also close to the French Quarter (but quiet). Be sure to visit the owner's nursery (Harold's Green Thumb)--we brought back several unusual plants to Virginia. There is nothing negative to report about our experience.

I stayed at 848 Mehle recently and loved it. The property speaks for itself, amazing landscaping, a pool and a very beautiful and comforting interior. The pictures just don't do it justice. This is definitely worth every penny spent. If I could I would have stayed another week or two.

Stayed here a week in July of 2008. House is absolutely beautiful! It's decorated tastefully, and is very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, but just a short drive to the French Quarter. Great pool, and a friendly host, too!

I just returned from my trip to New Orleans for the Essence Music Festival. While I trully enjoyed all of the fun thing that this event and the city had to offer, the highlight of my stay was 848 Mehle. I must admit that before my stay I was a bit nervous...the price was right, the location wasn't bad, and the house had a pool....there had to be a catch. Lucky for us there wasn't. The home is beautifuly decorated...the gardening is exceptional. I had an awesome stay!!! You will not regret it.
