The location is spectacular, right on the water. The beach is amazing. There were not too many people on the beach when I stayed so it felt much more like a private club, and it was very enjoyable and peaceful. When you walk down to the beach it's like an experience every time. The condo is large and comfortable. The views from the balcony are incredible. The weather was mild when I stayed so I slept well every night with the balcony doors open and the sound of the ocean in the background. The owner was incredibly helpful and certainly went above and beyond. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Our trip to St. Thomas was great and Bob was a great help. He emailed us and connected and was at the condo ensure everything was to our satisfactory and to show us where everything was located. We were traveling with 3 kids under the age of 6 and the condo was perfect. It had everything we needed and more; from beach toys and towels to cooking equiptment and coloring books for the kids the, place was stocked. The fact that the beach was outside the door and the pool just steps away made swimming and playing easy. The beach was clean and not crowded and having two restaurants steps away was great. The condo was clean and in a nice gated community right near Red Hook. I would reccomend renting a car as taxis looked to be expensive. We would definitly return and rent this place again.

Just spent a week at this condo with my husband and two teens. The desription is accurate-- great location, on a beautiful private beach literally steps from the condo. The condo is well maintained and has everything you would need. The owner,Bob, is available for advice or anything you might think you need. He gave plenty of helpful info even before arrival. I definitely recommend this rental and hope to return soon.

Our family of five (adult daughter, adult son & daughter-in-law) stayed in Bob's condo for two weeks, & had a great time. Bob is the best host ever, & even offered to go to the grocery store for us when I called to tell him we were having a plane delay & would arrive 5 hours late. He means it when he says he'll do whatever it takes to make your stay perfect! The location can't be beat - near a grocery store, near Red Hook with a variety of restaurants, another food market & the ferry to St. John, & near a variety of great beaches. We liked the idea that the condo was in a gated community & the beach seemed to be used by condo owners/renters only. We never had trouble finding chairs since no "cruizers" were dumped off there. The pool area is very nice (& the hot tub area was nice but in our opinion, too hot to enjoy) & we loved the beach. The view from the condo is perfect, & we loved the fact that while it's a bottom floor condo, it's 15' off the ground, so you could leave the deck doors open while away or sleeping to get the nice breezes & hear the waves & not have to worry about anyone gaining access. The condo comes with a BBQ grill, a cooler for day trips, rafts for the beach, sand castle supplies, books, games, & a fully equipped kitchen. It was perfect for the five of us. We took our car to St. John for a day & enjoyed hiking Leinster Bay trail (~ 1 mile) to reach Waterlemon Cay where the snorkeling was great - saw starfish, stingray, huge parrotfish, & other beautiful fish. This isn't a place to relax in the sand though - the beach is rocky & for snorkeling only. Trunk Bay was also incredibly beautiful & the snorkeling great. We didn't snorkel Cinnamon Bay as it was beginning to sprinkle, but it was a very nice beach, too. On St. Thomas, we tried to see as many beaches as we could, & enjoyed all but Coki where the snorkeling was good, but the peddlers made it uncomfortable. We snorkeled & left. Magen's Bay is gorgeous ($4 pp) with very nice facilities & food available. It's so big that even with a bazillion cruizers, it didn't seem crowded. The other "must see" beach is close to the condo - Lindquist Beach ($2 pp) incredibly clear, calm water, & it was almost deserted. Loved Secret Harbor & the snorkeling was great - we saw the sea turtles that live on the right side of the bay. Don't miss downtown - view from atop 99 Steps was amazing. We went to Cayman 12 years, but can't wait to go back to Bob's condo in St. Thomas!

This condo is everything you see in the photos and more. I've been vacationing on the island since 1995 and this is by far the best location, takes 30seconds from door to the beach. We had 3 kid's with us ages 4, 7 & 9 on this trip and anything they wanted from rafts, sandtoys and boardgames were already there. The condo is clean, had great water pressure for showering, confortable crossbreezes and amazing views. We'll be back, as well as recommend to any family and friends who make future trips to St. Thomas. Thank You Again for an amazing vacation!

My husband, twin daughters and I arrived just as "Emily" was passing the Island. Bob communicated the weather updates to us via e-mail giving us peace of mind for our travels even before getting on the plane. The condo was great! Everything you would need Bob has provided right down to a cooler for the beach. Bob shares a wealth of information right away which really helped us plan our days. The girls didn't want to leave. Bob, we'll be watching your calendar for next year! The Miethkes Dripping Springs Texas

Let me start by saying Bob(owner) and Patrica were sooo nice and helpful. Bob took me down to the local fisherman and I bought a 6 lb hunk of kingfish, grilled it up and it was fantastic! Told us where to shop for the cheapest food on the island. Great, great people! Now the condo, its fantastic, pool and hot tub are fantastic! Condo is large and roomy, clean and comes with everything you need to have a great time! Beach is quiet, beautiful, clean and a good family atmosphere. Great snorkeling off the left end of the beach. I saw a nurse shark twice, got some sweet video. Saw a see turtle, two rays, found two huge starfish that my kids wanted to take home but we put back. Found a few sand dollars. There are rentals down on the left which is awesome! Spent 10 days total and didnt want to leave. Definitely going back next year! Would highly recommend this condo to anyone family or not of all ages! You wont regret it Remember to rent a car for your stay, Taxis will bleed you dry on a week or longer stay. Bob can help you with that too!

Our family of five just returned from our first trip to St. Thomas - June 16-June 22, 2011. Bob's condo in Cowpet Bay was very comfortable, all the amemities you could think of plus so much more (beach chair, beach toys, cooler, ect). The family feel is evident at Bob's place: games and books for the family to enjoy - prior guests even left behind a few beverages in the fridge and unopened snacks for us. We continued that tradition by leaving a few "things" behind! The pictures don't do this place justice - especially the view! The balcony was shaded from early afternoon on - which was enjoyable. The warm Carribean breeze and the ocean sounds were so relaxing. The private beach was just that - private!! I don't think we saw more than five others on the beach with us at any given time. The pool/hot tub were fantastic. The location of Bob's unit is PERFECT!! Truly steps to the beach, and very near the pool, also. Bob is the perfect host! He couldn't have been any more accomodating! He greeted us soon after our arrival: answered any questions we had about his place, then offered many suggestions for our stay (beaches, dining, traveling to St. John, shopping, snorkeling, etc). On St. Thomas we enjoyed Linquist (Smith Bay) the most and even recreated our own version of the Corona beer commercial that was shot there. We also spent time at Coki, Sapphire and Emerald beaches. Don't miss Magen's Bay Beach, just try and visit on a non-cruise ship day. The view of Magen's from The Mountain Top is worth the drive. Charlotte Amalie is a fun stop, again just avoid the cruise ship days! Great burgers, fabulous service at Coconuts downtown. The pizza on the second floor of American Yacht Harbor (above Coco Blue) in Red Hook was great! The close proximity of Cowpet Bay to Red Hook made our jaunts to St. John easy. We transported our rented jeep by barge to enjoy the beaches and mountian views of St. John (favorite beaches were: Honeymoon(short 15 min. hike), Trunk, & Cinnamon, but Hawksnest was our overall favorite). Don't miss the views along the way - definitnely worth the stop! We hope to return OFTEN to St. Thomas/St. John and hope to stay at Bob's place again, and again!

Our family of five (children ages 13, 11, and 9) enjoyed eight wonderful nights at Bob's condo. Some things worth noting... the placement is such that you have morning sun but then have nice shaded balcony for the afternoon, which is lovely; the location right on the beach is awesome--kids could head to the water any time; the view from the balcony is truly stunning (palm trees waving in the breeze, gorgeous turquoise water, white sand); it is a quiet beach which we just loved (always plenty of chairs available); fully equipped kitchen--great since we cooked a bunch; plenty of sand/beach toys available for kids, plus puzzles, cards; location close to Red Hook was great for catching the ferry to St. John or going boating (close to Sapphire Beach Marina, too); two good restaurants--Robert's American Grille for fine dining or Ainsley's for casual--right there (chef Kevin, who owns both, can accommodate food allergies, by the way!); the condo itself has a comfortable and laid-back feel... Bob is such a great guy. He stopped by the first evening to show us around the condo and even picked up my husband the next morning to show him how to reach the hospital (son with life-threatening peanut allergy so needed to know). You know that saying, 'if it seems too good to be true, it probably is'? That's NOT the case with Bob's condo. What you see is what you get, and my husband thanked me endlessly for choosing such a great place.

My wife, our 2 teen-age sons, and I just returned from Bob's condo. We had a great time, and I can echo the many positive comments of the other reviewers. Bob was most helpful, including helping us arrange for a rental jeep when rentals were difficult to find. The condo location right on the water is among the best at Cowpet, and the unit had everything our family needed for a one week stay. The nearby restaurant (Robert's) was excellent, and our family very much enjoyed the beach and pool. Highly recommended!

We just got back from our vacation at Cowpet Bay and we had a wonderful time. We stayed at Bob's Condo the Elysian Resort. The condo was very comfortable for the 3 of us. Should have we needed anything Bob was a phone call away to oblige us with any reccommendations and so forth. We ventured one day on the ferry to St John which is a must. A 20 Minute ferry ride to shop at more lovely shops or relax on the beach with your favorite drink. We will definitely be going back as there was to much to do in one week. I would highly recommend you to stay at Bobs condo on the beach.

This is the best vacation spot on St. Thomas. Right on the beach, with the best access in the complex. Bob is the perfect, most accommodating host; if I had not experienced it, I would say to good to be true. My wife and I stayed with our three daughters the last two weeks in July and had a blast. If you're considering this rental, don't think twice - you will not regret it! As I told Bob when we left, this is the only place I would consider when returning to St. Thomas. Thanks Bob!!

One of our best vacations ever. An absolute perfect location with all the amenities. A fantastic view overlooking the beach with wonderful evening shade and only steps to the beach, and what a fantasic beach, never crowded, calm waters and plently of chairs and palms trees if you need a break for the Caribbean sun. And Bob is always only one phone call away for anything you might need. He stopped by to check on us after check in and even helped make arrangements for our rental car. Highly recommended.

This was by far our best and most memorable family vacation! This was our first time to St Thomas and we definetely made the right choice staying at Bob's condo. The place was very clean and comfortable and my husband and I and our 2 teenage daughter's felt right at home. The fact that the condo is right on a private beach and a stones throw away from 2 awesome restaurants is a plus!!! The pool was also very nice which is also beachside. We were able to rent snorkling gear right on site and it was a great experience. Red Hook was only a few miles away for shopping and dining. Bob's place is paradise!!!

The week at Bob's welcoming unit was my first staying in a condo out of 24 trips to STT but it won't be my last as three others are returning me this fall to stay there again! I usually stayed much closer to town but the drive to the east end was a worthwhile tradeoff! Four gals shared this comfortable place the first part of February escaping the snow the day before it hit. The pizza at Ansleys was outstanding & the evening meals at Roberts were marvelous, especially the Monday night barbeque. Bob was very accommodating & made us feel at home checking on us during our stay to make certain everything was to our satisfaction.

This unit was perfect for the week. We invited our son and his wife for the week and the unit had plenty of room for the four of us. Each bedroom had ample space, good closet storage and private bath. The front bedroom was so close to the beach that you could easily hear the waves lapping on the shore. Everything we needed was in this unit--dishwasher detergent, clothes detergent, ample dishes, cooler, spices, etc. Thanks to the previous renters who left diet Sprite in the refrigerator. (We did the same for the group after us) What makes this unit the BEST is the owner. Bob could not have been more accommodating. Bob gave our son/wife a ride before we got there, checked on us periodically, gave advice on day trips, and picked up his cell phone on the first ring of the few calls we made to him. Bob was even the "mahi mahi fairy" -- brought us fresh fish and placed in our refrigerator when we mentioned we were having a hard time finding this fish! We felt very comfortable in Bob's unit because we knew he would be there with any concern/problem we might have had (we had none!). tips: We did a day trip with "LionInDaSun" (www.LionInDaSun.com) with Josh--terrific outing. Monday night is barbeque on the beach at Robert's. We were glad that we had a rental car--easy to pick up at the airport. Golf at Mahagony Run was breath-taking. Ferry trip to St. John was good. Cost-U-Less was much better on food prices.

We enjoyed our stay in Bob’s condo. We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations; we had all the room our family of 5 needed as well as all the amenities needed for a 10 day stay. Bob was very helpful with information about the Island and resort. Roberts American Grill and Ainsley’s beach side grill were spectacular our only choice for dinning out and is very conveniently located to the condo. Our experience with the condo was very satisfying and without a doubt we will visit again. We would recommened this property to friends and family. Thanks Bob

This is the exception to the rule 'if it sounds too good to be true....' I was a bit apprehensive booking sight unseen over the internet but my family of 5 had a great time. Everything that has been written in previous reviews is correct with no exaggeration. The location, beach, condo, Bob were all wonderful. We would highly recommend a car rental. We had an Altima but we would recommend an SUV preferably. K-mart in Tutu isn't that far and quite a bit less on many items than the local grocery. We even took the car ferry over to St. John - a must.Book with no regrets!

Stayed 10 days with my wife and 2 kids and had an AWESOME time! Located on the best part of the Island with plenty to do. The condo and its location were in a gated community and far surpassed our expectations. Very comfortable and had everything. We had the best time in the pool each night and the beaches each day. Bob was great answering questions and giving directions. Just rent a car and explore the Island and ferry to St. John is 5 min. away. We will return!

We had a great week at this condo. Having my coffee while looking at the beautiful ocean was my #1 goal - and I wasn't disappointed. The pool was great as was the closeness of the beach . We took advantage of many of the close activities too. We were as busy as we wanted to be. I highly recommend this condo and hope to return again some day. Every Spring break we go somewhere different to get away from the cold in Chicago. After spending a terrific week at this condo, we have found a PERMINENT vacation spot! It has EVERYTHING! The beach was "to die for"! It was private, beautiful and well taken care of. Another great "perk" is that ROBERTS, one of the best restaurants on the island is right there! We never needed to leave the grounds, and we didn't! The pool and the hot tub were clean and quiet. The condo is fresh, cutely decorated, with a beautiful view! The owner, Bob, was always willing to give suggestions of sights to see and shops to visit. His up-beat, friendly nature made us feel right at home! I definately recommend this as a perfect vacation spot. We are planning to be there in 2010 again...but this time I am bringing my husband! (smile)

We just spent 8 fabulous nights here with our 2 teenage daughters over Spring Break. The condo was immaculate, spacious, right on the beach and extremely comfortable. The grounds were beautiful, the beach was clean and uncrowded and the view was fantastic. Bob, the manager, was always available and made sure everything was in order. We loved having 2 excellent restaurants within walking distance as well as the proximity to the Red Hook Ferry, the Ritz for lunch, and famous Magens beach for an outing. We recommend SNUBA at Coki Beach (a quick intermediate step from snorkeling to 20 ft. deep scuba diving) and Yacht Haven Mall for the one rainy day of the week. (Great Duty Free, Sales Tax Free Shopping!!!)Groceries are easily available (next to Dominos Gas) and KMart is fairly close by. It helps to have a car here and we bought a 7 day WiFi subscription ($10) for the laptop. We could have stayed much, much longer!!!!! :) Thanks again, Bob!

I stayed with my girlfriend in this condo over Valentine's Day weekend in February 2009. The location was great - less than a 5 minute drive to Red Hook and the Ferry to St. John with lots of restaurants and a grocery store in Red Hook. The unit itself was well maintained and had everything you could ask for just like home! We cooked one night and on another night ate at Roberts - a great restaurant right there next to the property. The beach was beautiful and clean and the unit had great views and access to a real nice pool and hot tub right there. Bob, who rented me the condo was a great guy and was there to greet us when we arrived and give us some helpful tips for our stay. I'd highly recommend this unit for 2-5 people. The unit even provided everything for the shower like shampoo, etc. and sunscreen. It also had a nice stereo system and dvd's and board games. You won't go wrong with this unit and beach and location! Kevin D. - Chicago

Pool, hot tub available and convienant to condo. Very ideal spot close to town but isolated from it as well. Car a must, unless someone would prefer taxi service. I would recomend this unit to all.

Everything we had hoped for! Owner was accessable if we had questions or needed information. On-site restaurant was good, and the village of Red Hook was a short drive, where there was access to groceries, restaurants, some shops, and the ferry to St. Johns. A pretty isolated spot if you do not have transportation!
