We visited in January of 2013. We were down looking at real estate and have rented many homes in the keys. The property is located close to key west but in a residential upscale neighborhood. We took the bus to key west and found it to be an easy and pleasant experience. It was also easy to get a taxi home from old town after doing duval uncorked (key west food and wine event). The property was immaculate and the grounds well kept. We did use the swim spa and it was easy to uncover and operate. The dock was nice as well. Key haven gets a fair amount of navy jet noise but that is common in this part of the keys. We saw manatees in the lagoon in the neighborhood which was a treat. The owner was helpful and easy to work with.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here for our wedding with a bunch of friends (7 total). It was the perfect location, perfect size home for entertaining. Spent a lot of time outside in the Florida Keys air on the deck. It is close enough and far enough from town. We were also able to take our dog which was great!! Communication with the owner was fantastic... Emails were answered very quickly. The only negative thing is that we had to leave!! Would definitely come back and stay here and thanks for having us!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here the week of January 23. This home was beautifully furnished,spacious, and absolutely spotless. I would recommend this home for couples , kids, and extended family. Matt was a joy to work with. We are looking forward to going back in the fall.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This rental feels like home away from home. Great kitchen, open areas with warm Key West colors and so inviting. We did not have a boat but we caught enough Snapper to cook dinner for six people on our last night and bring the rest home (bring your own poles and the Shell Station down the street has the shrimp/squid that you need). Such a quiet neighborhood, the only noise was from the Navy jets as they practiced drills from time to time during the day (which my little boys loved). We brought our two yellow labs, Hunter and Sunny and they loved roaming happily from front to back of the house. The house was completely safe for my boys Joey, 9 and Ben, 2 because it was completely fenced. I highly recommend this charming home to anyone, close enough to Duval Street (about 2-3 miles)...yet far enough to not hear the music from the bars. Matt is a great owner to work with!!! Thanks Matt, Beth and Alex for renting your vacation home to us. This was my parents first time to Key West and you really made their stay, as well as ours, wonderful and memorable. My dad said it was the absolute best vacation he's ever been on. We stayed here in March 2011. I was born and raised in Key West, however I now live far, far away. I went back in March to get married. We needed a place with enough room for us, our two sons, and our in-laws. This house was PERFECT! There was more than enough room for everyone and it was very kid friendly! The place was incrediblily clean and tidy. I felt very much back at home! This was my first experience renting from VRBO and I was extremely satisfied. I hope to stay here again, and again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The description was perfect regarding the location. I couldn't ask for better. The appearance and the amenities was great. The house was spotless the property was very well maintained. The location of was perfect not far into town. We went on the Sunset Dinner Cruise I would recommend its a lot of fun. Also, for night life The Bull is a good time. Don't forget try some of those side bars you would be surprised. And don't forget Malery Square for the Sunset. AWESOME site to see. I have to tell you Matt was great had a little problem with the internet but Matt got it resolved quickly. I would HIGHLY recommend Matt's property to my friends and family. In fact some of my friends are already looking into it for next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family stayed at this house during the New Year holidays and we found the house to be very comfortable, clean and in a quiet area of Key West. The host, Matt, was very reachable over the phone and attended to our questions promptly. I recommend this house and would stay there again if I come back.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay at your home! The yard was fantastic for our daughter! We could enjoy sitting on the deck while she ran around and played. The home was very comfortable and had plenty of room to relax. The dock was nice and the canal was very easy to get in and out of. We would defintely come back and rent again. We rented this home for 1 week in June of 2010, and are deffinately planing a return stay at this property, We have rented homes in the Keys for many years, and this home was trulely the nicest of all. Very clean and updated, a beautiful kitchen and comfortable beds. Outside, a great deck w/BBQ, a completely fenced yard, swim spa, and great dock with deep water. A hop skip and a jump out to the Vandenberg { if your're a diver } and only minutes to the island of Key West. This one is a 10.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

This house was very well maintained. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. For boaters, the dock was very easy to tie up to and the Gulf of Mexico was right around the corner. Downtown Key West was about a 3 minute car ride or a 15-20 minute bike ride away. We found alot of good restaurants and fun bars right in the neighborhood. We would definately rent this house again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.
