Completed in May 2007 Bella Riva is sure to impress you. This luxurious complex is nestled on 500 feet of beautiful shoreline in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida & offers spectacular views from the oversized balconies, 10x45 feet, from the living room as well as the Master Bedrooms. You will enjoy lying by the beachfront pool as well as relaxing in the hot tub. Beach Service (umbrella & chairs) is complementary at Bella Riva during season. If you choose to bring your computer with you during your stay you can also access the internet by the pool. You will enjoy all of the extra touches that Bella Riva has such as Viking appliances throughout the kitchen & granite countertops.
When you dine out on Okaloosa Island, make sure to visit Old Bay Steamer. It's one of our favorite restaurants in Ft. Walton. They offer steamed seafood by the bucket full, lobster tails, snow crab, king crab & shrimp are the contents of one of their buckets for two. Prepare to get messy enjoying your meal, they often tie bibs around their patrons necks. They also offer pasta & steaks for the non-seafood lovers.
The original Fudpuckers Bar & Grill is also located on Okaloosa Island. Fudpuckers opened in Fort Walton Beach on Okaloosa Island in 1986 and has become a favorite for visitors & locals alike. This restaurant is very kid friendly, drawing on the walls is not a problem there! The younger ones in your group will enjoy the playground & everyone will enjoy the live music.
For the best pizza on the Island you need to go to Helen Back. You can pick up their pizza to go or enjoy the back patio on the sound like we always do.

What we enjoy to do in Ft. Walton Beach...
Try your hand at catching a 100 lb fish at the Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier. The pier is 1262 ft long and has an octagon at the end so everyone has room to fish. If you are not in to fishing you can enjoy wonderful sunsets at the pier and also get a chance to see dolphins. If you didn't bring your rod & reel, don't worry, you may rent one there.
One of my favorite things to do is going parasailing. Sun Dogs parasailing on Okaloosa Island offers this service for the area. The views are wonderful & the ride is exhilarating.
Main Street in Ft. Walton Beach offers unique shopping and dining along the main strip of Ft. Walton. You will find Coca-Cola memorabilia, adorable children’s clothes, souvenirs to take back home and more. Check out the bistro on the corner, their food is wonderful.
Visit the Gulfarium and visit all sorts of marine life such as seals, sea lions, sharks, alligators, penguins and more. They have almost continuous dolphin shows throughout the day.
If you decide to escape Okaloosa Island, Destin, Florida is only a few miles away.
Great shopping is to had at the Destin Commons outdoor mall , you will enjoy such great stores as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Belk, Books-A-Million & Maui Nix Surf Shop to rattle off a few. Destin, Florida is known as the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village,” & boasts being home to the largest fishing vessel fleet in the state of Florida. You can fish from the beach or boat. If you do not want to bring your boat, one of Destin’s many charter boats would love the opportunity to take you out for full or half day excursions. Water surrounds Destin with the intercoastal waterway to the north and Gulf on the south, creating an abundance of water sports available, including kayaking, wave running, parasailing, kite surfing, snorkeling and so much more! |
