Here's why our guests call this the perfect location. No nighttime beach party noise, but still close enough to roast marshmallows with the kids before retiring. The living area is a delightfully relaxing, open, combined living/kitchen space with a bedroom and bath at each end. If clean and comfortable are important to you, this is a jewel. The living area and master bedroom include large-screen TV's. Cable and wireless high-speed internet & printer are available. Granite counters, ceiling fans, a/c and plush carpeting throughout. Your private entry gate is complete with security code.
You will be delighted at being just steps away from many of the area's best casual and fine-dining restaurants. The Marine Room, Piatti's, Barbarella's, Osteria Romantica, Clay's, the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, Squire's Cafe, Jeff's Burgers, El Charro, Starbucks and the Shores Restaurant are all just yards away. A bus stop is within walking distance for those who want to sight-see in the San Diego area without a car.
La Jolla Shores has something for everyone. This large, beautiful beach is patrolled by lifeguards and allows swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, kayaking, scuba diving & snorkeling. La Jolla Shores is the site of one of the nation's most precious underwater marine preserves - a delight for snorkelers and divers. Enjoyed proximity to beach. Very easy to get back for nap time. Great to have the option of walking to a restaurant. The rental was very comfortable to retreat to. Decor and cleanliness made up for lack of view. Master bed is great! We loved the high chair and portable crib and that you put outlet plugs in the outlets!

The area was perfect, near shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach. It was easy to get to & from the airport and in a walking distance from La Jolla Village. The condo was very clean, organized and had everything we needed. Everything was thought through. Beautifully & tastefully decorated.

The unit is spacious and spotless, and we particularly appreciated the items left for our use (e.g. dishwasher detergent and napkins), which reduced considerably what we had to purchase for our stay. Terrie could not have been more gracious or available in dealing with any and all questions that arose. The location near the highway made it easy for us to head either north or south, and the nearby grocery store and restaurants were a plus.

The apartment at Avenida de la Playa is perfectly appointed and located. We love the layout, and the apartment has everything we need. But most of all, we love walking to the beach, our favorite restaurants and even to La Jolla's main street. It's ideal. We had as good a time this year as we did our first visit and will definitely stay again.

The layout - with two bedrooms, two baths, and a washer/dryer - worked beautifully. We loved the proximity to the beach, playground, the restaurants, and grocery store. Access to I-5 was easy - it was easy to get everywhere, both north and south. Everything was so well organized. We loved it and will recommend it to our friends. Thank you for your very generous hospitality. We have had a wonderful family vacation.

Enjoyed proximity to restaurants and beach. The unit was beautifully decorated, clean, warm and inviting. All the little touches that you provided really made a difference - from the kitchen stocked with utensils & equipment to the books and games for kids. I chose a different book from the shelf each night to read to my son, and it was just like home. It is so close to the beach and right in the heart of a neighborhood full of restaurants - it was the perfect family getaway. We just parked our car and walked everywhere. It was the perfect drive-free beach getaway for a family from LA.

The rental was very clean and had great amenities to use. My young daughter loved the children's books. La Jolla is a wonderful area, and it was a great base for us to enjoy all the activities in San Diego. Everything was wonderful. I would definitely recommend the unit.
