A charming and wonderfully appointed cottage. We wished we had more time just to curl up by the fire and read a book. Not only was it clean, but we were amazed that everything we had forgotten at home was there for our use. We especially enjoyed the view from the bedroom in the morning of all the birds and bunnies. We hope to come back in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a restful vacation on Whidbey Island.

-- Blissful! Truly a one-of-a-kind view and lovely cottage. I couldn't get enogh of hte great fireplace and view, my husband loved the comfy sofa and table and our twin toddlers loved hte soft carpet and lovely lawn (and bunnies) for romping. Thank you for sharing! We'll be back.

We have had the most amazing time here at Shipton Cottage. Everything about this home is magical and beautiful. The visits by the eages have been a source of great enjoyment each and every day. Our boys have started to call it "our island house and say hat they want to stay here forever. What a wonderful place! From the moment we walked in we loved it. Beautifully furnished, great view, ,incredibly comfortable bed. Everything was just peferct. We even have many of the same books. Have to leave afer just 3 days - we will be looking forward to our next visit.

When our daughter and her husband invited us to do something special for the holiday, little did we know they were bringing us to Paradise. The peace and calm was a wonderful place to celebrate Christmas and a birthday. We will long remember the sunrises and sunsets and the magnificent view of the bay and mountains. The minute I walked in I felt relaxed. The cottage is perfect. Great movies and boooks - fantastic views - it was hard to leave the big chair by the window and fire but there was lots to do. Langley shopping was fun. The drive around the island was great. I can't wait to return to Shipton Cottage.

Wow! The cottage was perfect, the weather unbelievable and the view spectacular. The sunsets were amazing. We are here for our dear friend and sister's 70th birthday. We hail from Washington and Alaska. We had so much fun we laughed until we cried - the wine helped! The cottage is charming and well equipped. We've been friends since childhood and this certainly adds one more unforgettable page to our book of memories. Can we come back ?!?

We came out here to celebrate Mom's 90th birthday with Seattle area family, but the highlight of our stay was just enjoying the serenity and beauty of the view from the deck! The neighborhood eagles thrilled us with their visits, and the hummingbirds and goldfinches delighted us as they flitted through the beautiful gardens. We loved it here!!

We saw the full moon, but alas not the eagle. The dining table was perfect for a jigsaw puzzle - the deck make a delightful dining room - surrounded with flowers. Our second stay at Shipton Cottage! We adore and treasure this beautiful sanctuary. The cleanliness, decor, books, DVD "Brideshead Reviste" -- I stayed up to 3:00 a.m. this morning to finish -- alll sustain us. We saw an eagle this morning majestically perched on a limb of the tree that looks directly on Holmes Harbor. Kaarin is a Whidbey treasure. Her welcome bouquet, dedicated work on the flowers and law is much appreciated.

We loved the cottage, we felt right at home here and it was so relaxing Our three year old thoroughly enjoyed croquet for the first time and watching seals and eagles. What a beautiful spot. We enjoyed our too-short week here at Shipton in order to soak in all the beauty/tranquility which we know so characteristically of Whidbey. Our own piece of the island awaits us at retirement here and Shipton allowed us more time to convince us this is the right decision. The cottage was a perfect respite for regaining energy in order to return to a busy civilization! Thank you so much.
