We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation in this cabin out away from the hussle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. Early mornings in the hot tub staring out at the mountainside and up at the stars made for a much needed break from the business of life. The cabin was clean and made for comfort and relaxation, was within a 5 minute drive to all the activity of Pigeon Forge and just 15-20 minute drive to Smoky Mountain National Park, the main draw to this area for me. Gary was fantastic to work with and promptly took care of us when the gas grill ran out of gas. We have stayed in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area several times now and this may well be the best deal around. I highly recommend this vacation getaway location.

What an amazing time we had in the Smokies! What better way to ring in the New Year in the Smokey Mountains with the people who matter the most in your life? My family and I had such a wonderful time especially being able to bring our 3 puppies. We even got some snow! The view from the cabin, the sight seeing, the shows, the variety of restaurants, everything was right at our fingertips. The spacious cabin had everything a family of 4 needed. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy your cabin this week, we truly had an amazing time. Happy New Year 2013 & God Bless!

This has been one of the best experiences I've had in years. We stay in cabins a lot and I had family visiting from South Africa and they wanted to experience the Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and most of all, the cabin lifestyle. This cabin provided all of this as it is so centrally located and beautiful. The cabin is exactly what I've read in previous customer reviews - clean, beautifully decorated with the most awesome view over the mountains. Gary, the owner is one of the nicest people I've dealt with. He cares for his guests and was very helpful with everything. If I could add 2 things to the cabin, it would be (1) a dvd player - we were tired one evening and wanted to stay in the cabin and the ladies wanted to rent a dvd (2) a guest book to write down our appreciation on a very relaxing and wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

Owner response: Etienne, thank you very much for your review. I'm thrilled you and your family enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you back sometime in the future. We added a DVD player this week, so you'll be good to go for movie night at the Cabin. Thanks again, Gary

We had a wonderful time in the Smokies! The cabin was very clean, centrally located, and included all the amenities. The view from the large windows is fantastic. We absolutely loved the cabin and would definitely stay again. Gary, the owner, was very friendly and easy to work with. We've used VRBO for many years.....this was one of our best experiences! Thanks, again, Gary!

With this being our first trip to the Smokies, I wanted to be there at the peak of the leaves turning, so we booked exactly one year ahead of our stay at this cabin. And what a week we had. Every day the temp was 72-75, and evenings were in the 50's. The view from the large picture windows spanning out to all the colors on the trees was spectacular. We did the touresty things during the week, and it still was pretty crowded. The Smokies National Park was unbelievable. Cades Cove drive was nice. Took a day and drove over to The Biltmore Mansion in Asheville, NC. That should be on your bucket list of things to visit. Incredible!!. Gary, the owner of this cabin, was very helpful and answered all my questions and needs. Had a great time, and this cabin is lovely. Not too far away from restaurants, stores, etc., but far enough away to hang out at the cabin in the woods.

My hubz and I just went here on our honeymoon and we LOVED it! It was close to town/resturants. It's even nicer than the photos, very clean, and everywhere you looked in the cabinets and such there was every amenity you could think of i.e. blender, cork screws, etc. It has THREE balconys/decks and the hot was the bomb! Our 2 little weiner dogs even had a good time. The owner is so nice and friendly. Would recommend it to ANYONE and will be back...and we are not the kind of folks that repeat vacations. Cabin was very comfortable, well stocked with kitchen utensils. Beds were very comfortable. All around great vacation. Met up with our daughter who was on leave from the Army and met up and stayed with us at the cabin. Had a great week visiting with her in the smokies. Was easy for our special needs son as well. Was over 100 degrees a few days we were there. Air works great at keeping it cool in the cabin. I would recommend it to anyone.

We enjoyed a wonderful "Sisters" long weekend in Pigeon Forge. The cabin has wonderful views and easy access to Pigeon Forge and Seviervillle. The 4 sisters shared lots of good times and made wonderful memories! A few suggestions for other renters, bring some extra kitchen towels and if you plan to use the hot tub bring larger towels, such as beach towels. We visited the Apple Barn, great lunch menu and be sure to purchase some of the apples in the gift shop... fantastic! If your are visiting in the winter months, you may want to bring an extra blanket or two. The cabin was surface clean, but could use an extra touch for removing dust. The Bull Fish Grill is absolutely awesome! Just a few miles from the Cabin with excellent food and service. Be sure to book tickets for Dixie Stampede! The show includes dinner and we really enjoyed the pre-show-get there early for a seat-the food was great, the show was simply amazing! We would recommend the cabin to friends.

Owner response: Marie, so glad you and your family enjoyed the cabin! Hope to have you back as a guest sometime soon! Also, thank you for the feedback. We'll be leaving out some additional kitchen towels for our guests and will be sharing your comments with our cleaning crew. Thank you again! Gary

I recently stayed here with my boyfriend, my sister and her family. In all there were 6 of us, including 2 kids. We fell in love with the place and had a great time!!!! It was immaculately clean when we arrived and we felt right at home. The view from the wrap around porch is so amazing and is a perfect place to have wine and appetizers with loved ones. We stayed in one night and cooked and the kitchen and dining area had everything we needed. There is a collection of DVD's available to watch and we all watched "Joe Dirt!" hilarious. The kids loved the foosball (sp?) table and played for hours upstairs. My boyfriend and I agreed that this would be a great place for just the two of us as a romantic weekend trip. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone looking to get away for an affordable price!

Great location.Very easy to find, close to town. Cant wait to come back here next year! Great communication with Gary. The pictures that they have dont justify the cabin. The cabin is much better in person. There is also a pretty view. We loved it!

Before I begin, I must say the description given by the owner of Diana's Dacha is perfectly accurate. It was a simply beautiful home in one of America's most charming regions- the Great Smoky Mountains! The home is very easy to get to (easy on the car and on the nerves; don't have to climb far at all to get to) and very simplistic yet charming in decor. I used the home as my Senior trip with my brother and two other friends and it was very spacious. The owner was always available and very dependable. The balcony, hot tub, vaulted ceilings, and mountin/eclectic design gave us the perfect feel for a peaceful week in the Smokies. We were all perfectly comfortable the entire week, thanks to countless luxuries: excluding the ones I named before; king sized beds, 2 bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, 2 dining tables, hi-speed internet, 3 TV's, private gas BBQ grill, great cell reception, game room loft, 2 couches, and very spacious rooms. There are neighbors on both sides of the cabin, but they are not close enough to invade the feeling of privacy. The neighbors were perfectly quiet, as well. There is also plenty of yard space for those with pets. There is a fabulous Smoky Mountain view from the 1st floor balcony which was amazing to see through the 2 story window each morning! If you are looking for a private, peaceful, clean, roomy, and AFFORDABLE place in the Smokies to retreat to...this is the cabin for you! We are already looking to come back to this cabin in the future!

What a gem we found with this cabin! It's just secluded enough so that you are actually in the woods/mountains, but just close enough to town so that you're never far from the thick of things. The cabin is up in the foothills so your vehicle will have a climb going up, but the road is well-paved and the drive is not scary at all. The outside of the cabin has a great mountain view and a huge wraparound porch/deck. There is a separate private deck coming off of the upstairs bedroom that was a nice surprise. The hot tub is great and provided our weary bodies with so much comfort after long days of sightseeing. The inside is equally impressive - varnished wood everywhere (ceilings, walls, rails) gives it the authentic feeling. There are 2 very spacious beds plus a game area upstairs that can easily fit a sleeping bag or air mattress. The sofa is a sleeper sofa so that also adds to the number that can sleep comfortably. The closets are very roomy and will easily hide your luggage and extra pillows. The cabin had every comfort of home - cable TV, every kitchen utensil and pot/pan/dish that you can imagine, iron and board, it was all there. Furniture was comfortable and in great shape. Please note that although the address is Sevierville, the cabin is actually much closer to Pigeon Forge. This is a plus! Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are where most of the tourist attractions are, so that's less driving for you. Overall, we cannot praise this cabin enough. The price is great and the cabin itself is fantastic. It's the perfect spot for a home base when visiting the area.

My husband and I spent a week in this lovely cabin in July and can't wait to go back. It's close enough to everything yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. The owners provide every amentity you can imagine. The beds are comfy, the view spectacular and the price is right. I would highly recommend renting this cabin.

It has taken awhile to write back but we really enjoyed our stay in April at Diana's Dacha. After scouring the internet for weeks (hours upon hours) I was feeling frustrated. I was glad I went with this cabin because there are so many choices and this is why (warning, no particular order, random notes): 1. The location was very convenient and easy for first time visitors to the area to get to. It was within 3-4 minutes from main drag of Pigeon Forge yet was quiet. It was not too secluded for those that might feel a bit nervous being too far in the middle of nowhere. There were neighbors to both left and right but could not see them when on the main deck. 2. The cabin was extremely clean, modern, nicely decorated. It managed to be modern, yet cozy. It was perfect size for our family of 5. 3. The views from the floor to ceiling windows were the main reason for going with this cabin and well worth it. AMAZING windows! Opened up the entire cabin. When we were there, there were no blinds, so not sure if anyone wants option to block out light, but there is not. (fine with us). It is private from neighbors, so you don't have to worry about anyone seeing inside at night. 4. The owner was easy to work with. The WI FI did not work but the caretaker of property came to help out immediately, with no luck (he tried, though. 5. If you want a cabin extremely high in elevation, this might not be for you. Yet it was again, convenient to get to and not hard on your car to get to it. 6. The washer and dryer was convenient and easy to use. 7. Hot tub worked, with no issues. My husband and kids had no complaints, though I thought it smelled kind of moldy, but my husband said that it didn't smell and he didn't mind it. 8. You can't beat the price!!! Can I submit pics?

Owner response: Cindy, thank you so much for your comments and I'm glad you and your family had a good time at the Cabin. One quick note regarding internet access. We have since made an adjustment and now offer high speed access as opposed to Wi-Fi. It's much simpler for our guests to use and we've had no further issues. Regarding your photos, we'd love to see them! Please send to dianasrental@yahoo.com. Thank you again! Gary
