Come visit us for a romantic weekend getaway or stay with the kids for a week or two! Our spacious studio cottage is located just 12 houses from the beach at Pleasure Point, which boasts a world class surf break and miles of beautiful beach in either direction.
The cottage is 500 Square feet and has all of the amenities you need for a fun filled trip to Santa Cruz. We have provided 2 new cruiser bikes with locks for you to peddle around town and take in the sights. The private yard has its own BBQ and hot tub for relaxing in the bamboo garden after along day of play.
We have infused a bit of our love for the Hawaiian Islands into the decor of this wonderful studio/cottage and we hope it will be just the escape you are looking for!
The studio contains a queen bed and a comfortable double futon to allow for up to 4 guests to sleep in style. We just added a third bed, a twin foam sleeper. There is a skylight and a small fireplace to add to the romantic ambiance of the secluded cottage.
We offer our guests Cable TV, DVD player and Wireless Internet service.
Most of all we hope you will take full advantage of the beach and surrounding beauty of the Santa Cruz Coast.

We are located within 10 miles of downtown Santa Cruz, The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk & Capitola by the Sea.

Sometimes pictures do NOT tell a complete story. LOVELY LOVELY LOCATION right near the beach. Literally a block away. Priceless view of the beach. Easy access bike path. We could SMELL the salty ocean air along with the scent of star jasmine! Nice little garden for breakfast. Hot tub perfect for an evening soak. Cruiser bikes much appreciated. Plenty of fresh linen. We escaped the LA heat wave and were grateful for the slight chill in the air. The 'faux' fireplace warmed us up right away. A great value for a small family. The skylight was another nice touch. By the way, you are literally surrounded by greenery. A corner of paradise. THANK YOU ALAYNA!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Super cozy and cute, with a definite attention to details. Everything a person needs is inside the Hawaiian themed little cottage, plus a private hot tub to boot! Yes, perfect for my dog, the owner is very welcoming. The hot tub was immaculate and warm, the bed was comfortable. Wonderful access to the beach and a walk along the coast. The kitchen equipment is more than satisfactory. The BBQ is a health hazard, totally gross and a complete mess. Looking in the kitchen what we thought was a waffle iron, an (unexpected surprise) was another unattended electric grill iron,totally disgusting, the shower curtain has quite a bit of mold on it... has this unit been cleaned properly? I would highly recommend this property so long as you ask how the cleaning has been upgraded,Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Our family of four had a very pleasant stay in this studio in July. It was clean, efficient, well-cared for and convenient to beaches and shopping. The hot tub was a delight as the weather was damp and cool. The owners were accessible if needed, and very kind. Would be an excellent place for a couple. Great vacation spot!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway.

The pictures show how cute and clean the studio is. The convertable beds were great for our family of 4, because the kids did not have to share a bed. We went to the store and were able to cook (inside and outside) a few home-made meals. The beach is so close. And pretty much anything you would need is nearby - places to eat, surf, and relax. You could easily spend several days here without moving your car.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I very much enjoyed spending two spring months at the Bamboo Garden Studio. The furnishings are so comfortable and everything you need is there for a short or long stay. Quiet evenings in the hot tub and walks along Pleasure Point were just what I needed for a relaxing time. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive and made my stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had the best time! The location is perfectly situated within walking distance of the ocean, Pleasure Point - a great surf spot, and shops and restaurants are only a few blocks away. This property was just what my wife an I were looking for. Very spacious, lots of natural light, great grill & hot tub. Overall extremely relaxing! The studio is close to the main strip in Pleasure Point and easy to access with the cruiser bikes that come with the rental. 5 starts in my book!Did you find this review helpful? We came with bedraggled spirits and left happy and relaxed. The owners were respectful of our privacy but their thoughtfulness was evident throughout the cottage as well as having use of two great bikes and an immaculate hot tub. About the owner: My husband and I have 2 children and are avid surfers. We love the outdoors are all very active. Our family loves to travel, but has such a deep love for the people and the warmth of Santa Cruz, there is no place we would rather be. Most eveningsyou can find us, down on the beach as our lab Jake dives for rocks in the ocean, our kids covered with sand...our faces bright with smiles.
Why the Owner Chose Santa Cruz:
Our family loves spending time in Santa Cruz. We are a surfing, ocean exploring family and over the years here, we find we are surrounded by a community unlike any other we have found. Kids playing in the streets until dark, walking on the beach as the sun sets, saying hello to neighbors at every turn. Our home is just a block from the beach and some of the best surf spots in Santa Cruz. There are markets and cafes within walking distance and the quaint town of Capitola is just a short bike ride away. The Spring and Fall are our finest seasons, with warm clear days and no summer fog. There is so much to do in Santa Cruz, one just need to be pointed in the right direction!

The Bamboo Garden Studio has all of the ammenities of home, just a bit closer to the beach! We have a fabulous hot tub for 4 surrounded by a bamboo garden. Outdoor seating and a gas BBQ grill for warm evening cooking fresh fish from the farmers market. On chilly nights there is a small corner fireplace that quickly turns the studio into a cozy getaway. We have furnished the space in clean, elegant island decor that is soothing and always immaculate. 2 new cruiser bikes are at your disposal for exploring the coast by bicycle, and boogie boards, sand toys and toweels are on site already so you dont have to pack extra gear. Since the studio is nestled behind our family home, we are always near by in case you have a question about local restaraunts or the best dog friendly beachs. We offer surf lessons as well as Honeymoon packages, fresh grocery delivery and many more extras upon request.
