This mountain cabin inspired this poem...

A poem from award-winning storyteller, Willa Brigham, who stayed with us: If you're looking for a mountain top retreat, To take the load off and kick up your feet; Open ceilings and lots of space, Calms your energy and restores your grace; Nature at it's very best, Kick off your shoes and take a rest; Come on up to the mountain top, the weathers fine and it's not too hot, You'll enjoy the mountain view, its good for me, it could be good for you! A kitchen designed to sew up a meal, For all of your friends, its quite a steal; Take a hike do the crystal creek, Natures bounty is oh so sweet; There's not telling what you may find; A rock, a frog or a fishing line; Come on up to the mountain top, the weathers fine and it's not too hot, You'll enjoy the mountain view, its good for me, it could be good for you! This is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Don't even bother bringing your computer or plan on watching TV. This is the kind of place you go for a true vacation with friends and family to get some quality time with them. Sit in the rocking chairs on the porch overlooking forest filled with colorful leaves during Leaf Season (October).
Owner response:The beauty of owning and renting property in the mountains is the kind of guests we get to "meet." I am both moved and overjoyed by your lovely poem. The fact that you took the time to write it and send it to us means so much to us. I plan to frame it for future guests to enjoy! Thank you, Willa! We are honored to count you as one of our guests! Wonderful vacations

We stayed at the cabin in mid-October and we had a wonderful stay. The house is so convenient. All the bedrooms are in one floor so it keeps everyone closer (this is one of the things we were looking for). The kitchen is fully equipped: great pans, china, etc. The furniture and decoration are very tasteful. The views are as advertised - Beautiful mountain views and sunset. We liked the location as well because you are in the middle of the mountains, very close to the Cullasaja river and Dry Falls. I definitely recommend this cabin for a great vacation. Edy - Thank you for renting us your cabin.
Owner response:I am so glad you enjoyed the cabin and its convenient location where you have the privacy to relax and also the ablility to get to the attractions easily. Your recommendation of our cabin as a "great vacation" is greatly apprecited. Thank you so much!

Paradise in the Mountains

Once again, I wanted you to know what an amazing week we had. When looking through hundreds of properties on the internet, you never really know what you agre going to find once you get there. Your house was everything I had on my checklist, truly paradise. We did mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and hiked to so many beautiful areas and waterfalls. What a treat for us Florida flatlanders! Bill and Maria Miami, Florida
Owner response:Thank you for your very kind review. As Miamians ourselves, we fully understand what you mean about "being in paradise." It's great to know you enjoyed the house and the Highlands! Best regards, Edy

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful house. While the views and the actual house were impressive, the sunsets won my heart. I made sure to be home almost every day before sunset to be able to enjoy the spectacular sunsets. It was peaceful and beautiful at the same time. The spring flowers were coming up all around us, it felt like we were getting new ones every day! You have created a lovely place in a perfect setting. We hope to be able to do this again next spring and that the house will be available. We enjoyed every minute! Yvette and George Atlanta, Georgia
Owner response:Thank you for the review! We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and certainly look forward to hosting you again next year. We love the sunsets, too! Regards, Edy

This lovely house provided us with the perfect family Christmas. We loved hiking and exploring both Highlands and Franklin. The house was squeaky clean and the owners so accesible. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Dear Edy, The house was so much more than we expected. The sunset views in the afternoon were our favorite. You have thought of every detail to make our stay feel like we were right at home, from the cleanliness to the very comfortable mattresses to the fully stocked kitchen, we could'nt have asked for more. We will be telling all our friends and hope to be back next year! Thanks for the hospitality, Haydee and Mike
