I do have to say I was nervous about going to Costa Rica, we are usually a Hawaii vacation family. With that being said, I am changed and we felt so safe. We traveled with our young children ages 10 and 12 and there was plenty do do to keep they happy. We can't wait to get back and definitely would stay again at Casa Yin Yang. The house was clean, the staff that came in was very friendly and went out of their way to make us happy. Marta the concierge and Ana the chef we hired were at the house when we arrived to greet us and give us a tour of the property. So much to see and do in Costa Rica, our 9 day stay was just not quiet enough time. Thank you to Casa Yin Yang for a fantastic vacation!!

Amazing Place right on the water!

I came with 7 friends for 1 week and we had the time of our lives. The location is perfect and everything was taken care of for us. We can't thank Stefan and his team enough. We will definetely be back for another trip soon!

Highlight of our Trip---Amazing Private, Well Appointed House with Waves Out Front.

This was the perfect vacation home for our family of 5, with plenty of room in the bedrooms, wonderful kitchen/entertainment area, great pool and jacuzzi, and beautiful open natural space up to the beach. The concierge Marta was absolutely wonderful, and gave us plenty of options for dining and activities. We wish we were able to take advantage of the cook that can prepare food, but we were too busy dining around town and not inclined to make plans. There were some booming waves out front for my son and I, a nice beach for my wife and daughters, and we loved jumping into the jacuzzi and pool from the ocean (and I usually am not a pool type of guy). If you are the type that wants to watch TV (why would you want to do that in this paradise??), there is a flat-screen with satellite, and a DVD player. All in all a very enjoyable and memorable trip, and we hope to be back!!

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Awesome Vacation!

We just returned from a fabulous tropical vacation in Santa Teresa at the Casa Yin Yang! The home is beautiful, and right on the most gorgeous beach! We enjoyed daily walks on the uncrowded beautiful beach! The boys enjoyed surfing right in front of the house! The best surf is right out the back door of Casa Yin Yang! We enjoyed watching the locals surf, they were quite entertaining! The pool and jacuzzi were great, and we used them every day! The outside terrace was awesome, and this is where we hung out most of the time! It was great having a washer and dryer, and the appliances are all new and top of the line. I only wish the kitchen and living area had air conditioning, but we made do by cooling off in the pool. Also the couch in the living area is not very comfortable, and the one tv was very small, but then one day a larger tv just appeared in the living room! The internet worked great which was a huge plus for my husband and boys. Thank you so much to Marta and the staff, who were all so sweet, and helpful! Also Stefan was very nice to work with. The fishing was not what we had imagined, but we still ate fresh fish, almost every night. The ATV's were the highlight of our trip! Do not miss renting for the day and touring all over. Marta was able to get us a great deal on the ATV rentals, and told us where to ride to. The roads in Santa Teresa are something that you have to experience for yourself first hand. It is like we stepped back in time visiting Santa Teresa! It was a very relaxing and fun filled vacation! We drove from San Jose, and were a little leary of driving, but I'm so glad we did! It was great having a car to explore, and the drive over was beautiful. On the way back Marta told us where to find the crocodiles, which were huge, and we even saw a man on a boat tour feeding the crocs! It was awesome! Costa Rica is beautiful, and I think Santa Teresa is the most beautiful part of it! Pura Vida!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our family rented Casa Ying Yang over the 09 Christmas season. This is a magnficent house with great direct beach views and access perfectly situated on the main surf beach. The house facilities are impressive with well appointed bedrooms, indoor area , kitchen and outside living area with plenty of shade and a nice pool. This is certainly a world class beach home for a family looking to enjoy a great beach vacation.

Casa Yin Yang was incredibly peaceful and beautiful. The wonderful ambiance of the home played an integral part in helping my family to achieve the relaxation and escape we desired on our vacation. Stefan and Nicole were very warm and welcoming. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Yin Yang.

We have been going to Hawaii for around 20+ years now. We used to love the beautiful beaches, gorgeous natural beauty and aloha spirit. Now we are so glad we found Santa Teresa because it is the old Hawaii we used to love, undeveloped, uncrowded with pristine natural beauty. The beach & layout of Casa Yin is as nice as anywhere we've seen. For us it's nicer, cheaper, more convenient & much more fun. It's nice to know that the aloha spirit lives on the the PuraVida we experienced in Costa Rica.

I stayed three days in this amazing private tropical cottage styled house right in front of the beach and it really was the best. The house has all facilities you can ask for, it’s very tastefully decorated and you actually get the feeling that you are inside a premium lifestyle magazine. The house is perfect for 2 couples, a family or as the ultimate honey moon retreat.Stefan & Nicole is a very charming couple. They were super sweet hosts that gave a top not notch service from the very beginning. The place and the surroundings of beautiful Santa Theresa was an extraordinary experience and I'm sure I'll be returning next year.Thanks Stefan and Nicole and hasta la proxima! Luxury, oceanfront accommodations for a great value. The exterior rooms - living and dining room, pool, hot tub and hammocks offered a peaceful serenity every day, all steps away from the beach. The sunsets were amazing every afternoon. You can walk to many shops and restaurants or stay tucked away in this amazin oasis. We went surfing, fishing, zip lining, exploring other beaches and found this is the perfect place to be.

Casa Ying Yang was one of most beautiful settings one could desire. The beach is only steps away that offered some of the most incredible sunsets ever experienced. The level of relaxation will truly be missed. The home certainly exceeded all my expectations. Thanks again for such a wonderful and comfortable vacation.

Nicole & Stefan, Thanks for everything. We all had a great time. The Private Chef was over the top. It was the first time I ever ate 2 lobster meals in one day. The house is better than the pictures show. Super comfortable and surprisingly luxurious. I already miss my naps in the hammock listening to the waves. And your beach is one of the BEST in the world. Can't wait to come back and see another sunset. It all was smooth. From the ATV riding on along the coast to the visit to that insane Spa. Can't wait for my next visit. Pura Vida!

Stefan & Nicole, Thank you for providing incredibly amazing accomadations at your YinYang beach house. The property is all you promised and more. The views, the pool, the surf are five star. The private chef and housekeeping service allowed my family the luxury of indulgence and relaxation. The area restaurants rival any award winning dining anywhere and the adventure and local sights are breathtaking. Thank you for an amazing experience.

We have just arrived home after spending two very relaxing weeks at Casa Yin Yang. From the time we arrived past the front gates we knew we had found a very special place. The gardens are lush, the trees are full of songbirds, you can both hear and see the ocean waves from every part of the house. My favourite was, from the big open window in the kitchen, I could see my kids surfing!!! The beaches are not crowded and are perfect for walking, which we did everyday, early morning and evening for the sunset. We were pleasently surprised at the amount of great restaurants to choose from in the area. The house comes with a book full of ideas of what and where to go, and there is lots of action if you choose, but the truth is we loved the house and location so much we stayed put most of the time. We have rented villas all over the world and Casa Yin Yang is now on favourites list. Thank you Nicole and Stefan for sharing your slice of paradise. We shall return. We have stayed at many private homes in the area over the past five years and Yin Yang is by FAR the nicest place we have rented. There isn't one thing about the house, location or service at the house that we would change. We have four active boys who were never bored, never not mesmerized by the beauty and wonders of the area and the friendliness of everyone in Santa Teresa. Nicole and Stefan have created paradise and we were thrilled to be able to share a piece of it!

Dear Stefan and Nicole We've stayed in a lot of places in Costa Rica but CasasPuraVida is by far our favorite. We had the opportunity to stay in 3 of the 4 houses on the property. I would highly recommend them all.... The location is perfect! Great surf is at your doorstep, fantastic ethnic restaurants, friendly people, spas,grocery store and much more. A secure and well maintained premises. We were looking for the perfect location and found it! If you're looking for "PURA VIDA" this is the place. Thank you all for accomodating our needs.
