  My wife and I spent our 33rd anaversary here with an other couple and thouroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kitchen is well equiped, there are two gas and one charcoal grill right on the ocean. Most evenings were spent out there cooking, cocktails and whale watching. The interior of the condo is beautifully decorated as well as comfortable. A good cross breeze makes it posible to leave the windows open to hear the ocean. The owner stayed in contact to assure all was well .When I come back to Maui, I will be staying here.

  Beautiful condo is beautiful, comfortable with excellent views. We saw whales and sea turtles just from the comfort of this wonderful condo. We ate at great restaurants in the area, sun bathed at severl beautiful beachs, shopped and did lots of site seeing, The road to Hana was quite a breath taking experience. The one car road to Kahakuloa was also breath taking but a little hard on the nerves, narrow winding road with barely enough room for one car, nevertheless, breathtaking view.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We could not have asked for a cleaner, well equipped condo. The location was excellent - out of the busy day to day activities, and just a few minutes to restaurants and stores. We loved sitting out on the patio watching the whales from early morning to dusk. A very well equipped condo and we appreciated the little extras - dishwashing detergent, a few spices, a supply of paper towels, etc. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our last week in HI.   The condo was beautiful, clean, nicely equipt, quiet, and centrally located to most everything. The owners John & Paulette gave us very helpful information before we arrived, and everything went smoothly to include directions to the condo. Our 3 year old son loved the pool, and the small sandy beach by the Marina. The condo had beach chairs, towels, sand toys, etc. There are shops, restaraunts & Aqaurium within walking distance. Our favorite place to eat was Beach Bums, and there is a General store close by with a deli where we bought fresh pineapple & they offered to cut it up for us. Everyone was very friendly. Our trip was perfect & we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back.

  Our second trip to Maui, this time with our teenage daughter, we chose to stay in the midpoint of the island so we could explore more. The condo is exactly like the photos, perfect size for a small family, with everything we needed right there. We woke each morning to coffee on the lanai, running/walking the beach and local area, swimming in the pool which we usually had to ourselves, then lunch and out to explore. It was so easy...we found our favorite beaches and would spend the afternoons enjoying the ocean then head back for a delicious dinner of fresh fish grilled outside. The development is very quiet, the lawn is so lush it makes for wonderful daydreaming along the oceanside. Though we had fun doing a couple of trips to Lahaina, we actually enjoyed the Makena area the most, especially Big Beach and P'oolenalena Beach. Though I am actually a Virgin Island diehard, this trip to Maui left me longing for another.

  My husband and I have been to Hawaii 3 times. We have enjoyed all the trips but this was by far the best. That is attributable to this wonderful condo, its great location and owners! The owners were helpful, accommodating and provided great information about area activities, dining and resources! He was spot on! However, that was nothing compared to arriving at the condo and finding one of the most exquisitely decorated and inviting venues I've ever been in/at. The condo itself is clean, well-appointed, has great amenities, and is so beautiful and comfortable - perfect for a vacation that suits everyone. Two of our grandsons joined us for their graduation trip from us. We all had a great time. The location is perfect! Maalaea is beautiful, the people are friendly and it is quiet and relaxing. However, it is in the southern middle of Maui and easily accessible to everything. We wanted the boys to have a great time and do and see lots of exciting things while staying within a budget. This was the perfect setting to accomplish that. They loved having breakfast in each day, grilling out and eating on the lanai or just sitting on the lanai talking with us - which we loved. They loved the pool. We were also able to easily schedule and access snorkeling, volcano bikerides, ziplining, a luau, relaxing days at the beach, and a road trip to Hana! We managed to do all that and never feel rushed and always find ourselves relaxed and refreshed after spending quality time in and around the condo. I have been surprised to hear myself this past week telling people that the trip was even better than I had anticipated! Better yet, the boys have not stopped talking about it since we returned. They tell everyone they encounter about their great trip to Maui! In their words - "the condo was awesome".

  Our stay at Maalaea exceeded our expectations! My husband and I decided on a trip to Maui for our five year anniversary and stayed the last week of October, 2011. We wanted to spend quite a bit of time at the beach, but also have a quiet, relaxing vacation where we had time to ourselves. This condo is perfectly situated for both! Many mornings we awoke to watch the glorious sunrises and found that NO ONE else was outside! We felt we had it all to ourselves! It was just a short walk down to the beach toward Kihei where we got some great pics without any other people in the background. We also loved the condo's location bc you could choose to go north to Lahaina or south to Kihei without having to travel too far. As for the condo itself, I had read the other great reviews and was hopeful that the pics were not too good to be true, but I was still a little surprised to find it was exactly as pictured! I had been immediately attracted to the sophisticaed decor of this condo versus the gaudy, rather stifling tropical decor of some other condos. It truly does give the condo a relaxing, open feeling. Everything was very neat, clean, and comfortable. This condo was one of the only ones we saw that also had a (single person) soaking tub, which we enjoyed after a long, eventful day. We did not go out to eat much and used both the stove and the outdoor gas grill (though we did have to prepare for dinner a little early in order to use the grill without having to wait for it). We loved using the grill, especially. Our food tasted great, and we saved money! A few times we went swimming in the evening. It is a relatively small pool but was very nice, the water was warm, and each time we went we swam by ourselves. John, the owner, was very helpful, friendly and communicative. He was always available to speak to me if I had a question and sent extra information and tips in e-mails as well. My husband and I had planned on this being our one and only trip to Hawaii, but by the time we left we were already talking about how we could possibly come back! And if we did, we would certainly choose to stay here again!

  My new wife & I stayed at this condo during our honeymoon. As soon as we got on the ground we rushed to our condo with high hopes! When we walked in we were blown away! It was much more than we could have hoped for! It is VERY nice & clean. This condo offers everything you need from privacy & easy access to the beach, to a place that you could cook meals & host friends. What we like most is the location! Maalaea is centrally located & you can drive north 15 minutes Lahaina or south 15 minutes to Kihei. We are active people so we loved having the option of jumping in the car and being at our destination quickly. We plan on going back to Maui asap & there is only one place for us....the Lym condo!!! Thank you John & Paulette for sharing your gem & for all your assistance in the planning!!! Jeff
