Best Hawaii Trip Ever!

My husband and I have been to Hawaii 3 times. We have enjoyed all the trips but this was by far the best. That is attributable to this wonderful condo, its great location and owners! The owners were helpful, accommodating and provided great information about area activities, dining and resources! He was spot on! However, that was nothing compared to arriving at the condo and finding one of the most exquisitely decorated and inviting venues I've ever been in/at. The condo itself is clean, well-appointed, has great amenities, and is so beautiful and comfortable - perfect for a vacation that suits everyone. Two of our grandsons joined us for their graduation trip from us. We all had a great time. The location is perfect! Maalaea is beautiful, the people are friendly and it is quiet and relaxing. However, it is in the southern middle of Maui and easily accessible to everything. We wanted the boys to have a great time and do and see lots of exciting things while staying within a budget. This was the perfect setting to accomplish that. They loved having breakfast in each day, grilling out and eating on the lanai or just sitting on the lanai talking with us - which we loved. They loved the pool. We were also able to easily schedule and access snorkeling, volcano bikerides, ziplining, a luau, relaxing days at the beach, and a road trip to Hana! We managed to do all that and never feel rushed and always find ourselves relaxed and refreshed after spending quality time in and around the condo. I have been surprised to hear myself this past week telling people that the trip was even better than I had anticipated! Better yet, the boys have not stopped talking about it since we returned. They tell everyone they encounter about their great trip to Maui! In their words - "the condo was awesome".

A Magical Experience

Our stay at Maalaea exceeded our expectations! My husband and I decided on a trip to Maui for our five year anniversary and stayed the last week of October, 2011. We wanted to spend quite a bit of time at the beach, but also have a quiet, relaxing vacation where we had time to ourselves. This condo is perfectly situated for both! Many mornings we awoke to watch the glorious sunrises and found that NO ONE else was outside! We felt we had it all to ourselves! It was just a short walk down to the beach toward Kihei where we got some great pics without any other people in the background. We also loved the condo's location bc you could choose to go north to Lahaina or south to Kihei without having to travel too far. As for the condo itself, I had read the other great reviews and was hopeful that the pics were not too good to be true, but I was still a little surprised to find it was exactly as pictured! I had been immediately attracted to the sophisticaed decor of this condo versus the gaudy, rather stifling tropical decor of some other condos. It truly does give the condo a relaxing, open feeling. Everything was very neat, clean, and comfortable. This condo was one of the only ones we saw that also had a (single person) soaking tub, which we enjoyed after a long, eventful day. We did not go out to eat much and used both the stove and the outdoor gas grill (though we did have to prepare for dinner a little early in order to use the grill without having to wait for it). We loved using the grill, especially. Our food tasted great, and we saved money! A few times we went swimming in the evening. It is a relatively small pool but was very nice, the water was warm, and each time we went we swam by ourselves. John, the owner, was very helpful, friendly and communicative. He was always available to speak to me if I had a question and sent extra information and tips in e-mails as well. My husband and I had planned on this being our one and only trip to Hawaii, but by the time we left we were already talking about how we could possibly come back! And if we did, we would certainly choose to stay here again!

Honeymoon!!!

My new wife & I stayed at this condo during our honeymoon. As soon as we got on the ground we rushed to our condo with high hopes! When we walked in we were blown away! It was much more than we could have hoped for! It is VERY nice & clean. This condo offers everything you need from privacy & easy access to the beach, to a place that you could cook meals & host friends. What we like most is the location! Maalaea is centrally located & you can drive north 15 minutes Lahaina or south 15 minutes to Kihei. We are active people so we loved having the option of jumping in the car and being at our destination quickly. We plan on going back to Maui asap & there is only one place for us....the Lym condo!!! A perfect place to stay in paradise!

We just returned from our wonderful Maui vacation and our accommodations were top notch! What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get - luxury all around! The grounds and pool are immaculate and very well maintained. You can’t beat the view from the lanai! During whale season you have front row seats every day to see these playful creatures jumping right out front of the condo! We absolutely loved the central location – quiet and peaceful but very close to the busy town of Lahaina or a scenic drive to Hana. John was extremely responsive and provided us with lots of information regarding the condo and the surrounding amenities. We would not hesitate to book again with John and Paulette. Thanks again!

Aloha! My wife and I just returned from our second honeymoon and had the wonderful opportunity to stay in this lovely unit. We would strongly encourage those surfing VRBO for a vacation rental on Maui to NOT click past this one. You will not find a more well-appointed, oceanfront condominium to let on the whole island. John and Paulette are wonderful hosts, and we would enjoy being their guests again! If this unit lacked anything, it would have to be a screen door for the entrance. John & Paulette, We are just getting around to adding an official comment online. We absolutely loved your place. Marguerite's 1st time to Hawaii and we could not have picked a better place to stay. This was the 3rd time that Harold & I have been to Maui and your place was our favorite place to stay-loved the central location to the rest of Maui. This is a wonderful place to stay! Very lovely accommodations - comfortable, roomy, high quality. You cannot beat the view from the condo and lanai. Complex and grounds are immaculate and quiet. Pool is wonderful and well maintained. Owners are very easy to work with and very responsive to questions. I will be going back for sure!!! We have stayed in Maui a dozen times and this is at the top of our list. Condo was immaculate. Decor was tastefully done. Bedrooms and bathrooms very spacious. We could walk right out to the most beautiful view of the ocean. Landscaping gorgeous. We spent much time sitting out on lawn relaxing and just enjoying the view. After many vacation rentals all over Mexico and Hawaii, I have yet to find one that tops this! It is the most stunning and beautifully decorated condo unit I've ever stayed in. It was a quiet complex right on the ocean with a gated pool that was the perfect mix of island and relaxation. The two bedrooms that are both master suites could not be more perfect for two couples traveling together! The pictures are great but they do not do this condo justice. Granite counter tops, luxurious decor, amazingly comfy furniture. I had zero complaints. Not to mention great people to rent from! When you walk in, you are literally BLOWN away at the awesome choice you made to stay here! BOOK IT BOOK IT BOOK IT, If you can, because I plan on staying here every single time I go to Maui for many trips to come!!! Thank you John and Paulette!!

My husband and I have been to Hawaii almost ten times since we've been married and many of those times we have used vacation rentals and never once have we been as absolutely pleased as when we rented John and Paulette's condo. It could not have been more fabulous. Gorgeous condo with spectacular location. Beautifully well kept grounds with a quiet, private pool. The condo itself is breath-taking!! It has spoiled us completely. The pictures do not even do it justice. When we first walked in I gave out a yelp of excitement, from granite counter tops, to a huge comfy living room with a big screen TV. My favorite was the humongous jetted bath tub where I sipped wine and read my book every night. Stay here, and I promise you, won't ever want to stay anywhere else!! Thank you!!

Beautiful Condo

We had a wonderful time and couldn't have asked for a better location. The condo was beautiful, clean and well maintained. It was at ground level so we could just walk out the back patio and go for a swim in the pool or cook on the grill. We watched Whales everyday from the patio. The owners were wonderful to work with. It was also very convenient being near the Ma'alaea harbor where we could walk to catch a boat for whale watching or snorkeling. The area was quiet and restful. It was just what we needed for a great vacation.

Great Place

Wonderful, better than the pictures! The decription was accurate regarding the location, amenities and nearby attractions. The property was clean and well-maintained. Over the top! Great customer service. We loved walking along Sugar Beach in the morning - to see what gifts had washed ashore. We loved the Harbor Shops & eating at the Harbor restaurants - Maalaea Grill & Beach Boys. Wonderful sea food, salads and burgers. We found it handy to walk over to the Trade Winds Deli - for a great avacado sandwich - or for suntan lotion or miscellaneous groceries or beer/wine/alcohol. We loved the Maui Ocean Center! We loved sailing on the local sailboat Cinderella and snorkeling off shore during the trip. We swam with turtles. We also took a boat out to Molikini for more diving.Centrally located - we could spend our days walking about or drive to Lahaina or Waiela in 15-20 minutes. A great experience. Did I mention the beautiful lawn and ocean view? and whales right off shore? Great Place.
