    • WOW! We stayed here this past weekend and had the best, most relaxing time! The house is extremely clean, well maintained, in a gated community, accessible to hiking trails/tennis courts/swimming/boating...everything you could imagine! The beds are extremely comfortable, a/c is well circulated throughout the house. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need. Literally, just bring food! There is a large binder of information kept at the house...many suggestions/ideas of where to go swimming/hiking/have dinner etc. This is a great get-a-way for just some R&R or to bring the kids for an adventurous time. There are many places to take the kids around Ridge Harbour, but the house is extremely kid friendly if you want to just hang around and play! We are already planning our second trip!

    • We had an absolute great time. Activilla was even better than we expected. It is located in a quiet part of Lake Travis, somewhere we look forward to spending more time in the future. Activilla was very clean and comfortable and the Willie Nelson records was a great touch. Staying a week worked wonderful, from time on the lake, lunch in Fredicksberg and just 20 minutes or so from Marble Falls. We were able to visit Hamilton's Pool and lunch toward Austin at Salt Lick. So, location of Activilla is great, right in the middle of the Hill Country. In closing, the owner was very easy to work with and we appreciate again how very easy she made our stay especially Activilla having such great appointments. We will be back at least twice a year....

    • Activilla was clean, well-appointed and comfortable. We had a perfect view of the 4th of July Fireworks over the lake from the upstairs deck. During the days we took advantage of the short walk to the swimming pool and the porchswing in the shade. It was a great place for a girls weekend.

    • If you ever wanted to buy a place in the Texas Hill Country by the lake, don't stay here!! Because if you do, you'll REALLY want one now! This "activilla" is a great place for a fantastic family getaway--Texas style. Great Texas view. Great Texas amenities. Great Texas View. Great Texas accommodations. Did I mention Great Texas View? We arrived from Houston with no need of a GPS due to directions that only a local can appreciate. We quickly unloaded our SUV so that we can enjoy the Texas sunset on the deck with a cold beverage and with good ol’ Willy playing in the background. (This place actually has vinyl albums of Willy Nelson and friends. Our young daughters got a big kick out of seeing what a real album and a record player looks like.) Life in the Hill Country doesn’t get better than this. The accommodations were very homey, comfortable beds with nice, clean linens, great bunk beds for the kids, very clean bathrooms, kitchen well stocked with all the utensils, plates, bowls, cups, etc. you need. Just bring what you want to eat and drink. If you want to be served, I believe there are great local places close by. (I remember seeing info on surrounding establishments in the house.) We were very impressed at the care and the attention to detail the owners put into this place. It’s very clean with new appliances, washer/dryer, grill, books, board games for the whole family, all the comforts of home. If you’re planning on catching up on your TV watching, set your DVR and watch it when you get home. No cable. You’re here to relax an enjoy all that the Hill Country has to offer. There’s a very challenging single-track mountain biking trail. (There are less challenging trails that the more adventurous kids can do.) Very well maintained tennis court are right next the house. (You can actually sit on a shaded deck with a cold beverage and watch. It’s like having your very own court.) A swimming pool a couple of hundred yards away. There’s a marina close by to rent boats to zip around on Lake Travis. And for some reason if you feel the need to get back to civilization, there’s a brand new shopping mall close by. You get the best of both worlds. I really can’t say enough nice things about this place and about our time spent here. We look forward to returning to the deck, taking in the Texas view and listening to Willy. My family and I really had a fantastic time. Thanks.

    • Some friends and I had a wonderful stay there this April. The unit is clean, comfortable and well appointed. We arrived in the dark after a long drive from Houston, but, with the great directions we received, we found the place without a problem and were soon enjoying an après-drive beer on the deck. What a fantastic spot to relax and take in the star filled sky. The deck is also the perfect spot to spend breakfast and, lunch as well. I would recommend that you remember to put on some sunscreen though. Even in April the Texas sun packs a punch. When not enjoying the deck, some of us played tennis, some of us went for runs through the neighbourhood and, some of us did both. We all enjoyed the amazing grilled meats at Opey’s BBQ (wearing their t-shirt as I type this) and the truly hospitable atmosphere of the Spicewood Grill. Activalla is awesome.

    • My family and I stayed here the first weekend in May 2008 and had a wonderful time. There is plenty to do - swimming in the pool, playing tennis, hiking, bike riding, and more. We have two young children who enjoyed the stay just as much as we did. This house even has books, toys and games for young children. Sitting out on the upper deck was wonderful - whether we were having our morning coffee first thing in the morning, or looking up at the stars drinking some wine in the late evening. The lake is just a short drive down the main road. The house is completely stocked with toiletries and anything you need to cook with/grill with, etc. There is a great kitchen/entertainment area. All we needed to buy was our food. Fun for the kids with two sets of bunk beds in the same room! They have a record player with lots of Willie Nelson to play - can't ask for much more than that! Beautiful scenery, lots to do, great house. Thank you so much!

    • I stayed at the Activilla in April 2008 for a few days with friends while enjoying Spicewood and the Lake Travis area. Overall it was a fantastic time. The owners are very pleasant and easy to deal with. All communications are returned promptly and courteously and the price sure is right! We flew into Houston and when we arrived at the residence it was following a four hour drive so we were looking to relax. We were expecting a rural stay in Spicewood but not the pampering that ensued. Everything at the house worked wonderfully (not always the case) and the location is superb. The owners have an extensive welcome package with all sorts of things to do and sights to see around the area. It was like having our very own personal tour guide. In the mornings we woke and either went for a jog around touring the area or took to the courts (just 50 feet away) for a morning game of tennis. The well stocked kitchen privided everything we needed to prepare a gourmet breakfast (we supplied the food) which we enjoyed on the deck. Afternoons were spent on the Lake or touring the area or just enjoying the view from the deck playing local artists like Willie Nelson on the supplied LP player - nice touch! Evenings in Spicewood were surprisingly fun with Opie's BBQ just up the road and drinks at the Spicewood grill where they welcome visitors quickly and openly. Overall I can recommend the Activilla without reservation and look forward to heading back soon. We have decided to make it an annual event in our family.

    • My parents and I spent a week at the Activilla guest house in February. It was a great place for a quiet and relaxing family getaway. We took advantage of the surrounding area trails for walking and hiking and quite enjoyed the beatiful tennis courts right outside our door. Activilla is a great central location for day trips to Austin, Fredericksberg and San Marco. The evenings were spent having relaxing dinners on the deck with the view of Lake Travis. Activilla was spacious, clean, well equipped and kid-friendly. We really enjoyed out stay.
