I will recomend this house to anyone trying to visit the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. The house is spacious and very nicely decorated. We loved waking up to birds singing out our window, drinking our morning coffee on the patio outside the tv room was a delight. Every night we sat at the top roof patio, the nice breese and lovely sound of the ocean was such a peacefull break after a hectic day at the beach. We drove to the market 5 minutes away to get groceries and save lots of money, we were able to buy fresh fish at the local beaches. We visited Manuel Antonio and loved it , an amazing town. We also visited punta leona, Jaco , esterillos este and oeste. The house is located in the middle of all these places so driving to the beach was a 5 or 30 minute drive. The use of Monterey Hotel was a plus, we had the beach for ourselves most of the time, a great peaceful clean , cristal water only steps from the house. We loved the house , the amenities of the hotel and most of all Kristy and Mark were amazing. They acomodated our needs and let us split our one week stay. The property manager was very helpful. The house is also very secure and safe ,located in a quiet upscale neighborhood. We cant wait to rent casa amarillo again !! I should mention the house has everything you need from pots to lots of towels and linnens. We rented beach homes before and nothing compares to Casa Amarillo !!! We just love it there.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Costa Rica. the main reason we enjoyed it was Casa Amarilla and its association with the hotel Monterey del Mar. This combination of a lovely villa in the rain forest, and a 0.5 mile drive to a full service hotel on the beach worked out perfectly for us. The house has all possible amenities, and the hotel has a great restaurant, bar, pool and of course an enormous, wide open, basically empty beach for your enjoyment. I woke up every morning with a flock green parrots and a troop of squirrel monkeys in the trees around the house. you can stand on the second floor balcony and just watch the action. many species of birds, geckos, chameleons, tree frogs, are your daily discoveries. its a quick drive to a few different beach communities with bodegas (small grocery stores) restaurants, surf shops, etc. I'd recommend you rent a good suv WITH GPS when you go, it will give you extra peace of mind and make the drive from San Jose much easier. Also, bring a strong suntan lotion. the sun is very strong... which is part of the charm. the surf was not too strong for our teenagers. I've had our family on vacations in Europe, California, Virgin Islands, and Florida and all agreed this ranks as top trip for relaxing and recharging the batteries.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Myself and 2 friends spent the month of Feb/10 in this house. It is a wonderful place well maintained and very spacious. The cleaning lady was the best.I would not consider any other place in Costa Rica.We found it to be central to everything we wanted to do or see.The weather was very nice everyday any rain came in the evening. We hope to return again very soon.Mark also has a new Bar-b-que to use. Very quiet neighbourhood. We loved it.Everyone connected to this property was most helpful and pleasent as we spoke very little spanish.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We thoroughly enjoyed your place. Our entire trip to Costa Rica was fabulous! Daniel (property manager) was very helpful and professional, and the house worked out great for our family. We loved the beach at Esterillos, and we especially loved having it all to ourselves! We loved all the geckos and the toads that would come around in the evening. All in all, it was just a fabulous trip, and something our family will remember forever. We would definitely love to come back again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: From our first visit to Costa Rica, we fell in love with the country. The people, the flora, the fauna, the ocean to the west and the mountains to the east. My wife and I and our three children (14, 11 & 8) are still learning and discovering so much about this amazing place.
Why the Owner Chose Esterillos Este:
We found the location on the central Pacific coast to be ideal for us. Our vacation home is only 1.5 hours from the international airport in San Jose. We can easily make the 20 minute trip to Jaco the main hub for activities in the region. Thirty minutes to the south lies the town of Quepos with its' sport fishing and amazing restaurants. Another 10 minutes and your in Manuel Antonio National park. But if all that is a little too fast pace, your a 10 minute stroll to the pristine, tranquil beaches of Esterillos Este.
