Experience the peace and solitude that surrounds this Mediterranean style villa perched above Smuggler's Cove with expansive views of Jost Van Dyke and beyond. Casa Luna has been designed for outdoor living for those who love the breezes of the gentle tradewinds and the calming sounds of the sea. As you ascend from the pergola covered carport to the main level of the villa, the slate stairs meander around the large volcanic rocks covered with local orchids and bromeliads.
The patio is complete with a covered Al Fresco dining area, living area, and a spot for sunbathing just steps from the large pool with a unique crescent moon and mermaid glass mosaic bottom. To the side of the patio, a large stainless steel grill and full outdoor bath are found.
As you step inside the villa through a large, arched doorway the gourmet kitchen with 6 burner commercial stove is extremely well equipped for all your cooking needs. The kitchen opens to the comfortable living area with Satellite TV, DVD, CD player, a 5 speaker sound system and an extrensive DVD collection for those lazy evenings.
Beyond the living area, a pergola covered patio with dining table and chairs offers more views of the sea and sunset and leads you to the queen bedroom with ensuite bath. A winding staircase from the kitchen leads upstairs to the master suite.
The master suite boasts a king size 4 poster bed, a walk in closet and full bath with a river rock bottom shower. A balcony sits off of the front of the bedroom, a large patio with 2 teak lounges is set behind the bedroom and a large deck, that is wonderful for sunset cocktails is located on the west side of the bedroom.
There is a newly added downstairs complete with private deck, entrance and private driveway. It includes a kitchenette, full bath, and a tropical hardwood king size platform bed. It connects to the living area of the main house via spiral staircase.
Casa Luna is a very unique and delightful living experience. Enjoy the pool and expansive outdoor living spaces in complete privacy, or take a few minutes to head down to one of the nicest beaches in the Caribbean.

My husband and I love this beautiful villa - we even got engaged on the upper deck back in 2008! We have been able to return several times with family and are planning another trip this June. Casa Luna is incredibly private and just a short walk down to the beach. However, Graceann has done such a great job and the house is so spectacular that you really don't want to leave. We spent a good amount of time lounging by the pool or enjoying the wonderful patio. We had the pleasure of having Kellen (the owner's son) cook for us and we cannot wait to have him cook for us again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have had weddings at the villa, lots of honeymooners, but I think you are the first couple who got engaged at Casa Luna. I wish you many happy returns! Graceann

We had stayed in St. John for the previous two years so we wanted something a little different, a little more upscale....That is exactly what we got at Casa Luna in Tortolla!!! The villa is exquisite!!! It is outdoor living at its best.....We spent every minute in the outdoor dining area....We hated to leave the villa. The view is exceptional, and one of the best beaches on the island is right down the street.. We cooked in more that we usually do because there could not be a better evening than sitting outside with the view we had...Everyone should have the chance to visit Tortolla and this villa is lovely!!! Thank you GraceAnn!!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much! For me, the peacefulness and solitude of Casa Luna is surpassed only by the exquisiteness of the views of Smuggler's Beach and the islands beyond. I so look forward to seeing you again next year! All the best, Graceann

My sister-in-law and I were guests at Casa Luna from 11/1310-11/20/10. This was my 23rd year as a guest at the BVI. My husband and I have stayed at various villas over the years. Your villa was the best so far and I want to personally let you know how much I enjoyed it. The house is exceptional. Obviously the view is one of the high points, but the architecture and the furnishings cetainly add to the overall effect. The last (which should be the first) item in the praise category is the PEOPLE. JC was just super, so kind, helpful, patient, and friendly. We were sorry that we didn't get a chance to say goodbye to him. Diane was a sweetie. Trudi was very patient and accommodating during all the planning. I regret we were not able to connect while she and I were there. If my sister-in-law is able to return with me, Casa Luna will be our first choice. This was her first time in the BVI and she was awestruck. Thanks again, JudyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Graceann, You're right. We did love Dian. Her laugh is very infectious. She made us a wonderful West Indian meal on Thursday night and her daughter joined us, giving my son, Max some company that he really enjoyed. Everything about our stay was wonderful. Thanks so much - we love Casa Luna and the entire team of people you've assembled to help you keep it beautiful and functional. One of our favorite details was all of the great, heavy-duty candle lanterns you have. There were times when the wind would just be screaming through the dining room and the candles wouldn't even flicker. We'll definitely be back some day and we'll do our best to refer others because we want our friends to share that wonderful experience!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

As beautiful as Casa Luna appeared in the photographs, Casa Luna is much more spectacular in person. My family and I spent over a week in the BVI - - and we all agreed that Casa Luna lies in the very best location. The owner did a fantastic job in creating an open house design, which takes advantage of the wonderful views from each corner. Not only was she a pleasure to work with, but she also employs a very helpful property manager and housekeeper. All in all, this is a fantastic choice, if you can book it early enough when it is available.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Our stay last Fall exceeded all expectations and was certainly one that will bring great memories for a long time to come. The pride of ownership with this property was evident from the first moments upon our arrival. The wonderful attention to detail is apparnet throughout the home from the commercial grade kitchen to the luxurious master suite. We absolutely loved the location! Very private, yet only a few minutes walk to one of the best beaches on Tortola; Smuggler's. Although we loved the privacy, it was very easy to access other areas of the island via car. The home itself is truly stunning - offering sweeping views up the coast of Tortola and directly across the channel to Jost Van Dyke. We found ourselves completely content to just laze about in the pool, watching the endless march of sailboats cruising the azure waters. A special treat that we highly recommend is to have a private dinner prepared by the owner's son, Kellen. As a professionally trained chef he has years of experience working at some of the best restaurants and notable mega-yachts. Not only were the meals (we had 2 dinners prepared by him) exquisite, but he was great company to have around. He is a wealth of knowledge and seems to know just about everyone on the island. Pass any request or recommendation by him and he'll take care of you. By the end of our trip we had become friends, hoping to cross paths again soon! If you are looking for a truly special getaway, this is it! We have traveled throughout the caribbean and sailed in many areas as well. I can easily say that Casa Luna is a standout property that will leave you thinking about your next return. Lastly, the owner and her local property manager are not only very friendly but always available for any issue, request, recommendation, etc. should you need assistance during your stay. With so many rentals available through a plethora of websites such as VRBO, etc., it can be overwhelming at times when trying to find the perfect property. Take our word and leave the guesswork behind. This property is a must!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4
