The Loveshack, located in the hamlet of Willow is close enough to Woodstock to enjoy what this unique town has to offer, yet far enough away to allow its guests to really unwind. Set amidst 22 beautiful wooded acres on a mountain, "The Loveshack" enjoys a very Private Mountain setting. The Loveshack is a two hour drive from Manhattan. This fine getaway, known affectionately by many that visit as the "Healing" shack, has been home to touring musicians, artists, writers and moviemakers, it's the perfect spot to unwind, put up your feet, write a book, design your next creation, edit a Movie, honeymoon or meditate peacefully and dream.
"The Loveshack" welcomes in all seasons, this "funky little shack" beckons with the beauty of winter, an icy pond and Mountain views and skiing 35 minutes away at Beallayre Mountain. In summer enjoy the 20 x 40 swimming pool, relax under the umbrellas and then plunge into the heated saline pool,( no harsh chlorine here).( Heated by solar). In the summer the pond is an interesting ecosystem, providing a watering hole for various animals and birds throughout the day. There are three beautiful porches, two overlooking the pond and swimming pool, and one looking out into the rear woods. In Autumn, the temperature is crisp, usually cool enough for a welcoming fire, but warm enough to be outside and enjoy the beauty of the changing leaves.
The house is very well heated in the winter. In the summer "The Loveshack" is cooled by a gentle Mountain breeze, overhead fans and air conditioning. It is very peaceful! The Loveshack is casually and comfortably furnished with fine linens, casual throw rugs and colorful cushions. The kitchen is well stocked with a colorful collection of glass, napkins and dinnerware. It is fun and funky, it's Woodstock! We look forward to having you as our guests.

I cannot say enough about this place. The decor is so wonderful, the SMELL of the air and even the citrus reeds throughout the house, leaves a memorable impression in my mind. This home is well stocked, clean , comfortable, and I truly felt like I was whisked away to a far away place. I could see this home being used for someone looking for a private romantic getaway or a venue for spending quality time with the family, even a girls getaway! The home is actually very roomy and spacious, it is very deceiving from the outside, and plenty of sleeping quarters and choices for everyone to fight over :) The location, though not walkable to anything in town, is a lovely QUICK, 6 mile ride into town, and we did the trip to woodstock and phoenicia and other towns several times a day. We ate in just about every eatery you could think of on tinker! We even participated in the town drum circle, visited the saturday flea market and explored other little hidden treasures the Catskills has to offer. I planned a last minute trip with my 3 children to upstate. I am an experienced home renter, as I find that it gives me and my family the space, privacy and amenities I desire when I find the time to go on vacation. I have been bringing my children up to the Catskills region for the past 5 years. Every summer we rent a home up there.We are from Long Island NY , and live on the beach. So the mountains are a treat for us. We had yet to find a home that fit or fulfilled all the amenities and luxuries I wished for... until now. (Comfy Beds, Pool, AC, HEAT in winter Im sure, PRIVACY, lots of land, Mountain view, Pond view with wildlife everywhere, TONS OF TOWELS! there must have been a sale in Ralph Lauren!) The decor is amazing and certainly well thought out. I cannot say enough about this home, or the landlord Jennifer. She was kind, cordial, prompt, efficient and detailed. Her caretaker was also very kind and polite and helpful . I am so excited I found this magical place...I will certainly be visiting again... perhaps in another season, or all 4! I am sure it is beautiful year round! THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS HOME WITH US!

The property was truly amazing! We arrived to chocolates and a bottle of wine left for us by the owner (delicious!)...Everything was as promised... The home is equipped with all you need to relax and recharge your battery...The property is set back from the road a ways so it was always very quiet and peaceful... We spent our days and nights relaxing by the pool or on one of the decks. We even did some sightseeing in downtown Woodstock... At night we watched as several deer visited the pond in the backyard to feed. After months months of working 60 plus hours a week the loveshack was just what the doctor ordered. I will definitely be back.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
