Girls' Reunion

Guest: Sharon (Las Vegas, NV)
Date of Stay: 05/20/11 Review Submitted: 05/24/11

My 3 friends & I met in Omaha for a girls' weekend, we all grew up in Omaha and graduated from high school together. Now we live in 4 different states. The townhome was perfect for us. We spent so much time sitting around the kitchen table having coffee in the morning & wine in the evenings. There was nothing we would have changed in the townhouse, it was perfect. There were so many spots to sit and relive our memories: kitchen, livingroom, front porch, back patio. It was relaxing and comfortable. The furnishings were so comfortable and stylish. We'd highly recommend it and would rent it again in a minute. It's proximity to the Old Market and Riverfront was very convenient. And, Orsi's Pizza & Bakery down the street was a good source of a Saturday evening pizza feast. The owner has spent so much attention to detail, the kitchen was well appointed and the bedding was first class, like an upscale hotel. Perfection!!

Girlfriend Reunion

Just got back from a wonderful stay in your lovely town home. Our girl's outing included 4 of us who all grew up in Omaha, although in another area of the city (Benson - yes, we were bunnies). It was fun walking through sections of town where we had never spent much time. We loved everything about your place - the location was convenient to the Old Market, your home was better stocked than any place any of us have ever rented through VRBO, the decor and accommodations were wonderful. Orsis had wonderful pizza for the evening it was pouring and we didn't want to wander out and the neighbors even invited us to attend the annual "Fork Fest" picnic on Saturday. And loved that it was so close to Cascio's Steakhouse, where we often went for pre/post dance meals in high school. We highly recommend your home for anyone planning a visit to Omaha and we will rent it again the next time we have a girl's reunion in Omaha.

Great location, lovely home, comfy beds

This is a fantastic townhouse, just a short walk to the heart of the Old Market in Omaha (with amazing restaurants, shops, cafes and nightlife). There's a lovely front/back porch, easy parking, a friendly neighborhood and a great home away from home. The house is wonderfully outfitted, has free wifi and a great little breakfast nook (that'll make you eat breakfast for longer than planned). The best part is on Saturday morning's in the summer, it's a 10 minute walk away from the farmer's market. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!

The Aunts from Chicago

What a great place to stay while visiting in Omaha. My four sisters and I went to visit our nieces who attend school in Omaha. We decided to rent this townhouse instead of a couple hotel rooms. It was much more than we expected! This place was beautiful and perfect for our weekend. We traveled in December and did a lot of Christmas shopping. The townhome was decorated for Christmas, and it was so warm and inviting. We loved staying in the townhome and really felt at home. It was extremely clean and neat, and I would highly recommend this for your next trip to Omaha. Thanks Bonnie -- Your place is awesome.

Family Vacation

Guest: Angie (Overland Park, KS)
Date of Stay: 09/03/10 Review Submitted: 10/01/10

We rented this home for a family vacation and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and within walking distance of the old market and Heartland Park. The trains across the street were fun and our 2 year old loved them! Overall we enjoyed staying in a home rather than a hotel and would rent again when back in Omaha!

Best place to rent in Omaha!

We just had an amazing 3 week stay in this property. The location is great, and the property is beautifully decorated... even these attractive pictures don't do it justice. My husband and I stayed with our two young children and my parents, and we were all very comfortable there. The neighbors in this great little condo complex were very friendly, and even welcomed our children to play outdoors with them one evening. The owners could not have been more gracious and helpful. The house was beyond well-stocked, and immaculately clean. We had a problem getting on the internet -- probably our error -- and the owner stopped by and spent a great deal of time with us helping us get it fixed. My kids unfortunately tore a leather chaise while we were there, and the owners researched the least expensive option possible for fixing it, and gave us back the vast majority of our rental deposit, which in my opinion was totally unnecessary (but tremendously appreciated!). These are the exact kind of nice people that make Omaha such a wonderful place to be. I've rented from other VRBO owners in Omaha, and this was far and away the best stay that I have had. Some of the other VRBO properties are purely investments -- for folks that don't even live in the Omaha area -- and you can tell that when you check into the property... it's often stuffy with that "closed up" smell. The owners tell me they stay here when it's not rented, and that shows in the amount of care taken for the place. The ONE drawback -- if you're the noise-sensitive type -- is that not only is the Amtrak station across the street, but it's a major thoroughfare for train traffic, so it's quite busy. We actually found this quaint, however... and my kids loved watching the trains go by. If it's a problem, though... we found a brand new pair of ear plugs in the nightstand. :) Seriously, they thought of everything! You won't regret a stay here! The location couldn't be better for the Old Market (some locals might tell you it's not safe to walk from the house to there, but if you're from a major urban area at all, it's completely in safe walking distance) or the zoo. Orsi's Italian Bakery is at the end of the block, and it's a must for their gooderoni (?) pizza (try the spinach & potato) and bread. You have fairly easy interstate access from here, so it's convenient regardless of where you're going in Omaha. Seriously, if you're visiting Omaha, this place is your best bet!

Omaha vacation

Guest: Cass and family (Springfield, IL)
Date of Stay: 05/14/10 Review Submitted: 05/28/10

We spent the weekend here while celebrating our son's graduation from Creighton. Perfect location... Wonderful accommodations. Spacious... The townhouse was beautiful, even nicer than the photos!!! Large, comfortable, modern, spotless bedrooms and bathrooms! The kitchen is fully appointed. Parking was easy... and there is even an amazing Italian bakery just down the street! We will definitely stay here again!!!

Owner response:We are so happy to hear that our renters were thoroughly satisfied with their Omaha visit experience. We (my husband and I) work very hard to make the townhouse a true "Home Away from Home". We do the work ourselves and have a lot invested in the property. It is our goal to have Happy Renters.

We had a wonderful time in Omaha, in good part because of the perfect accommodations. This town home is delightfully decorated, extremely comfortable, and immaculate. The setting is an appealing combination of past and present in a very pleasant old neighborhood, just across from an Amtrak staion and walking distance to the Durham Museum in the fabulous old art deco Union Station. It is right near downtown, but has the feeling of being out of town. The owners have thought of everything to make their place a home away from home, and though the VRBO photos are appealing, the reality is even sweeter! I plan to return. Thanks, Bonnie and Dave!

I was with a group of 5 women who stayed in this beautiful home while on retreat in Oct. 2009. We could not have had a better experience. The owner, Bonnie, is extremely accomodating and wonderful to work with. Anyone visiting Omaha and the downtown area could not ask for a more delightful place to stay.

Bonnie: What a wonderful home, convenient to everything. I walked to the 1st CWS game. Omaha's bike trails are unparalelled, and you can access them a short distance from your home. Orsi's 1 block away has the best pizza. The boys could not get enough. Your place is wonderfully furnished and equipped, and I loved cooking on your gas stove and the outdoor grill. You and your husband went out of your way to accomodate us and offer suggestions where to buy groceries, shop, etc. Please allow us to stay at your home again. You went out of your way to help us when our vehicle had to be repaired. It was truly a home away from home for us. Your new friends, Jim and Janet Daly

We stayed at this property in October 2008 for a family event. We were so surprised to find these luxurious new accommodations in the heart of Omaha. Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and pristine clean! Lots of room with 3 separate areas to sleep, each with it's own bath. Centrally located with plenty of street parking for our guests. We will be back!

Hi Bonnie, We loved, loved, loved your place! We are so grateful we found it! It was so clean, convenient to all the places we went (the zoo, the children's museum, Old Market, Heartland of America Park...), and so beautifully decorated. It was truly a home away from home! Your directions were fantastic and we just loved the place. We hope to return again, maybe next summer. We had fun watering the flowers, too. The little boys helped and got a little wet in the process! Thanks for opening your home to us. We can't wait to return - there's so much more to see in Omaha!

We had a wonderful visit to this town home. This was our first family trip with our 2 year old and staying at your place made it soooo easy! A highchair, baby gates, and toys were waiting for our toddler upon arrival and all of the bedrooms were stocked with everything we could possibly need. Beautifully decorated and well equipped. Will definitely be returning. Old Market is right down the street, the zoo, Childrens' Museum, and botanical gardens are all within a 5 minute drive. Thank you for providing us with such fantastic accommodations.
