Luxury Suites in Mission Beach

Both of these penthouse suites are on the top floor of the building and are excellent options if you are looking for a bit of luxury amidst the low key, laid back atmosphere of Mission Beach. The owner, Dana, is very personable and professional and will make sure that you are comfortable and more than satisfied with the accommodations. The apartments are nicely laid out, tastefully decorated, and offer all the amenities you could possibly want or need during your stay including a jacuzzi and sauna in the master bath, large flatscreen TVs in the living room, fully-equipped kitchen, fireplace, washer/dryer, garage parking with elevator access, propane BBQ grills, and multiple balconies in each unit. Plus, being on the top floor, you don't have to worry about being bothered by the neighbors upstairs, not to mention the breathtaking sunrise and sunset views you'll get to see as a result of the near wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors in the living rooms and bedrooms. If you want a really nice place really close to the beach then you've found just that. Both apartments come fully equipped and ready to go with everything you'll need from paper towels to bath towels to beach towels and chairs and umbrellas. From your apartment you can see kayaks and sailboats going in and out of the bay, surfers and boogie boarders catching waves in the ocean, and beachgoers playing volleyball and sunbathing on the beach. The location is simply phenomenal. Right on the beach, yet a multitude of activities within a short distance. Nearby attractions include: Belmont Park, Balboa Park Museums, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Civic Theater, SeaWorld, Catalina Island, DisneyLand, and more. Surfboard, paddleboard, and waverunner rentals are within walking distance, or consider chartering your own fishing boat or sailboat. Whale-watching tours are right around the corner as are snorkeling, scuba diving, and guided kayak tours. Pacific Beach is right up the street if you are looking for college-aged nightlife, La Jolla is just a bit further North if you are looking for a 5 star dining experience, and Downtown, Old Town, GasLamp Quarter, and Coronado are all within a short driving distance for everything else in between. This truly is an ideal location and an awesome place to stay. Thanks Dana and Becky!!

40th Anniversary Party

I want to personally thank Becky and Dana at Dana Horne Realty for going above and beyond what was required by them on our 40th anniversary booking, as it could have been a disaster due to the construction delay. We were arriving within 24 hours for our celebration and they scrambled to secure amazing accomodations for our group of 24 coming in from all over the US. They stepped up to the plate and made us feel like it was their family they were taking care of, and provided everything I could have ever asked for. So Becky, thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will continue to sing your praises and definately use you again and again and recommend you to anyone who wants to rent in Mission Beach, CA Happy Winter Bev Wright

Absolutely wonderful vacation rental Becky was completely amazing and helpful , we had first inquired about another property which was booked for our time , but she searched her inventory and came up with this one which was even more than we expected! The views here are what dreams are made of - WOW is all everyone kept saying! We had 7 people staying and never felt crowed - this place is huge and very comfortable- just as described and pictured! Close to everythng but yet very quiet and safe- absolutely recommend - we will be staying again and again and have friends who will be visiting and renting in near future. Holiday Bowl Weekend

Great weekend in San Diego for the Holiday Bowl. We were all blown away when we walked into the condo! Water views everywhere you look. Ran into the owner on the way in, she was very nice and made it clear she wanted us to have an enjoyable stay. Plenty of space for 7 of us to fully relax, great kitchen, great balconies off most of the bedrooms, big TV, 2 parking spots, etc... Parts of condo have not been updated in awhile, but the amenities are more than adequate. The location and views are just fantastic, it's a little peace of heaven.

The Perfect Working Vacation

We held our annual company Strategic Summit in the two penthouses at this property and everything was perfect. It allowed our out-of-town guests to enjoy a taste of San Diego while getting work done and each person loved waking up, looking out to the water, jogging along the beach, and enjoying the cool weather. Each day we met around the huge wide-screen TV by connecting our computers to it for all of our PowerPoint presentations while 15 people lounged around on the sofa and chairs to make a very informal and comfy setting for our meetings. And having the kitchen right there to grab food throughout the day was perfect! There was plenty of space for separate meetings, the wireless internet worked like a charm for all of us to get on-line at the same time, and because each room has it's own TV there were plenty of opportunities to sneak away for some individual quiet time. And, allowing me to bring my dog with me during my stay helped provide some great 'fur therapy' during our long work days! Thank you again for making our summit very productive and we will definitely consider coming back for future meetings!

San Diego Summer

We really enjoyed the penthouse. Great views of the Channel with boats coming and going from Mission Bay. We saw pods of dolfins and seals. Great views of the fireworks from Seaworld. We had room for the whole family, My 80 year old Mom really appreciated the elevator. There were resturants in walking distance, couple of bars and pizza joints 3 blocks away. Only negative would be the off and on sound of jets taking off from San Diego Airport.

Dear staff at Dana Horne Realty, Your thoughtfulness and generosity is most appreciated. Thank you for use of the beautiful Penthouse on Mission Beach! The location and views were amazing - The ocean view of infinity was exactly what my spirit has been craving during these past 5 years of cancer treatment. I am grateful beyond words. When the kind staff at the Dream Foundation described the view from The Penthouse as nothing short of spectacular they were absolutely right on the money! And because my stay was during Spring Break, I was also able to enjoy the fireworks from SeaWorld both nights from those amazing floor to ceiling picture windows. It was a lovely added bonus.
