Visiting The Island on Lake Travis is like a trip to a Mediterranean village. Beautiful arches, walkways, and gardens greet you as you drive from the mainland onto the Island. You will get a sense of serenity as you realize you've come to a special place where you can leave your cares behind and enjoy some time in this luxurious place that is so close, yet seems so far.
As you enter your beautifully decorated suite, you will will find yourself surrounded by luxury.

- Best of all is the close view of Lake Travis from your very private balcony. Some of our guests have compared the view from our suites to that of a cruise ship.
Enjoy a refreshing dip in one of our pools, or enjoy a relaxing soak in one of the hot tubs. If you prefer, you can grill a steak on one of the charcoal grills. Of course, if you don't feel like cooking, there are several excellent restaurants in the area that are unique to Lago Vista and the north shore of Lake Travis.

We didn't like it...we LOVED it!!! My husband loved it so much that he pressured me for dates to return before we even checked out. The weather was incredible with beautiful blue sunny skies during the day and amazing big bright stars at night. We loved the amenities The Island had to offer including taking advantage of the onsite spa, workout room, indoor/ outdoor jr olympic pool and sauna, outdoor dining at Brizos, tennis courts and the fishing pier. Rich went out of his way to help make our stay as wonderful as it could possibly be. It was my husband's birthday and Rich had a balloon and a bottle of wine in the suite as soon as we entered. This set the tone of a special weekend. We fell in love with the place and will be back!!!!!!! Thanks again. ~Amber and Mark

We had such a good time and Pat and Rich are wonderful hosts. Our unit was nicely furnished and the view of the lake was just perfect! We had a relaxing week. Rich was so helpful and helped make our stay a week we'll always remember. We will definitely be back.

We decided to have a quiet celebration get-away and found this treasure on the internet. What a wonderful weekend we had! The property was beautiful, the apartment lovely,clean,well appointed and the lake view from the deck was fantastic. Thoughtful touches such as corn to feed the deer made it such a special memory. Rich, our host, made the transaction so easy and was so nice.We'll be back!

What a great home-away-from-home. The unit is charming and comfortable, with amazing views of the lake and the sunset. There's nothing like a cup of coffee in the morning on the balcony, enjoying the beautiful vistas. We also enjoyed great walks in the surrounding neighborhood, and especially the friendly deer who were eating right out of our hands! A little spot of Heaven on Earth. We look forward to returning soon.

Truly enjoyed the stay. The balcony view of the sunsets were wonderful. Great place to take a boat and explore Lake Austin. Will definitely visit again.
