  A group of 9 of us rented this house for a week. We were looking for a house that had a private pool and amble space and this villa had this and more. The pool was the highlight of our trip; we spent most of our days and evenings in the pool. The rooms were very comfortable as well as the kitchen. Magda was a sweetheart and very attentive. She offered to help us with anything we needed, thank you Magda. The only suggestion I have to increase the comfortability of anyone’s stay is add more TV’s to the house. Currently only the living room has a TV. Also, change the cable from basic to premium, as we were only able to access a few American channels. Aside from this, our stay was memorable and we will definitely plan future trips at Villa Paradiso.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  We had a wonderful time, but we were willing to put up with some inconveniences in exchange for plenty of room for our family group of 13, a wonderfully located swimming pool that we enjoyed very much, and a beautiful tropical setting close to many attractions. Many of the problems with the house are detailed in other reviews, so I won't go into great detail here. But I would not recommend this to future renters who are very particular and who can afford a more expensive place. Palmas Del Mar is a beautiful resort with a spectacular beach so we were very happy to find a house there that held us all and that we could afford. We would definitely go back despite the problems.

  We rented several houses in Palmas del Mar for the week of our wedding from March 24th-March 31st. We used this house for all of the groomsmen and any male guests that were coming from out of town that week. For this situation it worked out perfectly. All of the guests staying in the house were age 20s-30s. They loved it!!! There were a few hiccups along the way, but nothing that wasn't fixed immediately by calling Magda (the house manager). She was amazing!! We felt the price was great for Palmas. As previous guests stated, Yes the house may need upkeep, but we feel you won't find any better deal. We feel it was well worth the money and would definitely consider renting again for a big group like this!! Thank you Magda (house manager) and Norban Aponte (owner) for a very memorable wedding week!!!

  Recently returned from stay at Villa Paradiso. First impresssion : Nice Looking Villa. Pool was smaller than expected, but okay for kids. Things went downhill from there. This was a beautiful place at one time, but has been very neglected. two of the showers were unusable, the heads were so clogged. We ran to Walmart and purchased some new ones and put them in... no big deal. The master bedroom on the first floor has an incredible odor, in addition to the dressers and closet being so moldy and musty we kept our clothes in our suitcases. The ceiling was also coming down , as we discovered when we woke up to a suitcase full of paint chips and stucco . The upstairs bedroom had a large pool of water in the corner , which we wiped up with towels , but it reappeared each time it rained . ( Several times while we were there. ) I notified Magda the caretaker, both by phone and email. The only response I got was an email saying the smell in the bedroom was from the cedar closet. ( I know the smell of cedar, it is not unpleasant. The smell here was more like a dead animal) She did not address any of the other concerns, including my request to at least be reimbursed for the $ we spent washing towels after cleaning up the water leaks. The washer and dryer were coin operated. It took $4-5 to wash and dry a load . I work as a flight attendant for a major airline and travel with my family quite often This is the first time I have ever written a negative review. We do not expect 5 star service when renting from an owner, but this was totally unacceptable. I have only mentioned the major issues, there were a long list of minor things.. leaky toilet, missing lightbulbs etc. . Like I mentioned, this was probably a nice place at one time- too bad it's being neglected. As for the Palmas Del mar area in general, I would recommend it more for adults ( particularly golfers) than young children the beaches are way too rough. We drove up the coast about 45 mins to an hour to find calmer beaches.

  We were a group of ten(8 Adults, 2 children). The house definitely had more than enough room. Magda was wonderful and easy to work with. She was always available and willing to help. The rental process was easy and the house was very clean when we arrived. Every room(living rooms, dining rooms) had A/C, which is pretty rare in PR. Usually only the BRs have A/Cs. I loved that the house is kind of by itself with wooded surroundings, yet really close to a very secluded beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the house and would definitely consider staying there again. Definitely can't beat that price in Palmas Del Mar. Thanks to Magda and Norban for a wonderful experience.

  We were a group of 10 with 3 kids and someone who is disabled. The house was spacious and nicely laid out and met our needs very well in that regard. Also, we had a lot of fun in the pool. The house did have some upkeep issues. The jacuzzi should not be listed in this ad as it did not work, it in fact flooded the bathroom when tried to use it as just a bathtub. Magda did tell us the jacuzzi aspect of the tub did not work upon arrival but did not mention that it would flood the bathroom. Also, upon arrival the kitchen sink backed up undernearth the cupboard but my handy husband was able to fix this. There were many other plumbing problems such as a toilet that constantly ran and poor water pressure in the showers. We also had a problem with the dryer (coin operated), which they did send a handyman out to fix. There was a very musty smell to all of the bedrooms. There were many lightbulbs missing from various light fixtures around the house so the whole place was a bit dim. We loved Puerto Rico and Palmas del Mar and plan on returning next year, but would be hesitant to stay here again unless we were assured that all of these maintenance issues were taken care of.

  A large group of us stayed at this home over Christmas. My parents brought the entire family ( their 3 kids and wives and 5 grand kids) together not just for Christmas but to celebrate their 50th anniversary as well. Many things are wrong with this home: dryer broken, jacuzzi flooding master suite, moldy walls, rain leaking into a room, disposal leaking onto floor, 4 tea cups, 3 pool chairs , etc. etc. These issues show a pattern of long- term neglect. Do not let the owner 's response fool you into thinking they fixed any items.They have said that before and the items they said were fixed were not fixed. The manager tried to avoid us and then finally sent over a plumber ( she did not show up). He left because there were too many problems. The sad part of this whole situation is that my parents spent a large amount of time stressing out about the bad conditions and unhelpful owner ( leaving messages and emails) and could not relax and what was supposed to be a fun and rare whole family get away. You only get one 50 th anniversary. Do not ignore this review and do not stay here!

  This house has a lot of potential, but is not well maintained. The hot tub is not hot, the dryer does not work, there is water damage everywhere which makes the house smell like mold, the grill does not work, the tub in the main bathroom does not work plus the toliet in the other bathroom is broke. All the bedrooms have mold and all the sheets and towels smell horrible. You can wash them, but be prepared to pay to wash and remember you can't dry them. We called management who sent the owner over. The owner was here for less than 5 minutes and left laughing. I would caution everyone who reads the other positive reviews to listen carefully to my warning before wasting your time and money on this place. The area is nice and if you want to stay here I would recommend looking at other houses. There is a really nice beach club but you have to rent from someone who is a member which this owner is not. Not worth it, keep looking.

  Owner response: Thank you for your comments. We regret very much that the experience did not meet your expectations. In response to your comments, we need to clarify the following points: 1. In regards to the hot water, the owner went immediately to fix the problem. When the owner arrived at the property he brought a new gas cylinder, but then he realized that the hot water was working properly, so no repair was necessary. 2. The owner sent a handyman to fix the different damages you reported (water damage, toilet seat). The handyman went to the property the next morning that you reported the problem, but the handyman informed us that you instructed him to go because it was too early. 3. The linens and towels are washed just before you arrive. 4. The beach club is not part of the offer, because as you know the owner is not a member. Properties with beach club privilege are much more expensive to rent. 5. We are in the process of repairing the hot tub. That is why it is not offered in the listing. 6. The dryer got recently damage and you were informed that the part was not available in the island and that it would take several weeks to repair. We expect the service repair for the next week. 7. The grill was working perfectly. The only problem was a slight bent in the grill. Again, we regret that the experience was not as per your expectations. We will use your comments to continue improving and providing the great experience, as evidence by the large number of positive reviews.

  the only reason, this place lost a star is because of the damped smell that was throughout the stay. keeping the doors open, did not help. the damped smell was deep in the bed spreads and pillow making it an uncomfortable experience. If I kept this fact apart, the stay was wonderful. Magda was very nice and she went out of her way to accomodate our late check-in. the place is awesome, the location is sexy and the pool in the center of the villa is worth the stay. Thank you Magda for everything :) love this palce.

  This property was perfect for our family group of 10 people (2 teens, 2 tweens, parents, grandparent, family, neighbors & friends). Big enough give us space when we needed it or cozy enough to have time together. We were thrilled with the villa from the moment we walked through the double doors. Magda was a gem! (As well as Monica & Elvis). Thank you all! She gave us detailed information on sight-seeing, shopping, the Palmas del Mar resort area and was just all around wonderful from our first contact via email to our departure! We were within a short walk to a very nice quiet beach area. We quickly found our way to 3 or 4 more secluded beaches. The secluded & private home served as the perfect "base" for our sight-seeing adventures to Old San Juan & Fort at San Juan, Fajardo to kayak the Bio-luminescent Bay, El Yunque Rainforest, and Luquillo. We were ask when we were in Old San Juan why we were staying at the resort since it was so quiet ...and YES, we told them that was why we were there! Each of us had ample "personal space" and the bedrooms worked perfectly with plenty of beds to spare. The kitchen worked well for us since we ate in often. The pool & lanais served as us perfectly for our down-time areas. Our families spent a lot of time in the pool when we were at the villa. The Palmas del Mar resort made our family feel safe & secure for our first time visit to Puerto Rico. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer! Thank you for everything!!!
