Let Devil Dog’s Lair return you to the Poconos you remember for relaxation and enjoyment with friends and family. This is an immaculately maintained and tastefully decorated house on a corner lot surrounded by tall trees offering the rich feel of a mountain house with all the modern amenities. Owned and offered for your enjoyment by a retired United States Marine, our home is within walking distance to the heated Minisink pool and the big lake. All swimming areas are protected by lifeguards for your safety. Come and enjoy the beauty and fun of the Poconos!
This home features 3 bedrooms and a loft. The loft contains a trundle bed (sleeps 2) for additional sleeping, sitting or just plain relaxing. Also, this house contains 2 full bathrooms. Though we discourage it, if you need to catch up on emails or work, the loft has an oak desk with hi-speed internet connection. Bring up your laptop, plug in and you’re on the net and in contact! Just in case you’re wondering, cell phones work and get great reception in the Poconos. If the kids want to watch TV by themselves, the loft also contains a cable TV with VCR/DVD.
The living room has a brick propane fueled fireplace so there is no fuss or mess with logs and ashes. There is a love seat, sofa, and lazy boy for everyone to get comfy! A cable TV, VCR/DVD is also provided to watch your favorite programs or movies.
The kitchen contains all the amenities you would expect in your own home including cookware, utensils, etc. There is also counter top seating at the kitchen for those quick “on the go” meals where you don’t want to use the dining table. The kitchen counter is also large enough to gather with friends and entertain over drinks and snacks. A CD player with speakers is also available in the kitchen / dining area to listen to your favorite music. A mud room is located off the house’s utility room for the convenience of a place to take off your soiled shoes / clothes and wash / dry them immediately if you desire. Comfort & convenience is what you seek in a vacation home and this house provides it!
The exterior contains 3 decks for enjoying the serenity of the outdoors. Off the dining room, enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine while watching deer or turkey wander through the property. If your plans include an outdoor family BBQ, move to the spacious lower deck where a table chairs and benches can accommodate your gathering. The deck off the front door gives you the option of watching the sun set behind the trees or watching the local wildlife while waving to your fellow vacationers. Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall, Devil Dog’s Lair provides the vacation “home away from home” you want for your family and friends. There is also ample parking for numerous vehicles. Arrowhead Lake is located well off of route 940 and provides the most amenities in the area. There is a large and small lake, numerous beaches and pools as well as many other outside water related activities within a 30 minute drive. Arrowhead Lake is also a gated community with 24 hour security.
Arrowhead Lake Community Association also requires renters (over the age of 6) to purchase amenity badges during the Summer season (Memorial Day - Labor Day) for use of pools, fishing, beaches, lakes and the clubhouse. Weekly badges are $25/person and $7.50/daily. A gate pass must be purchased for $25 per vehicle in order to access the property gates. These fees are paid directly to Arrowhead Lake Community Association. |
