This is the perfect mountain getaway, and Laura is the most gracious host! She provides for your basic needs plus many extras. The house is at the top of mountain (or pretty darn close to it!), and the views from the porches are breathtaking! It's comfortably furnished, and it takes not time at all to feel right at home with all the nice touches Laura has provided. It's a wonderful location - close to many area attractions (Chimney Rock, Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Hendersonville), and lots of great hiking nearby. We will definitely be making a return to visit to Laura's lovely mountaintop home. Amazing Grace really is amazing! Thank you and God bless you, Laura!

Our Third "Amazing" Visit!

There is not much more than I can add to my previous reviews.......this is a fantastic property & Laura is the most gracious owner. My husband, son & I were lucky to rent at the last minute for a few nights in October/November. Thankfully NC was having a "late fall" and the autumn colors were still incredible. We enjoyed just spending time at the house, watching the birds eat out of the feeders, and heading down to Chimney Rock and browsing the shops. One day we took a long drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway up to Mount Mitchell for the 360 degree amazing view. Our favorite restaurants are Poppas & Beer (Mexican food) located both in Hendersonville & Asheville and Louella's (barbecue) in Asheville. Don't hesitate to rent this property....everything is top notch, clean and so comfortable! The view from the house is incredible! I can't say enough great things about it. Looking forward to our next visit....my heart just "sings" when I head to Amazing Grace in the mountains of NC.

An Incredible Stay - Absolutely Amazing :-)

The owners of this beautiful home have excluded nothing when it comes to comfort and entertainment. The view is breathtaking, and the house is conveniently located. Everything in the house is the best there is to offer from the linens to the fully stocked kitchen. We stayed in on Sunday and Monday since we were having so much fun playing pool, reading from the inspiring library of books, and watching awesome movies on the big screen TV with surround sound. We star gazed on those nights and loved every minute! We ventured out on Tuesday down the mountain to Hickory Nut Gorge Farm where they sold apples, pumpkins, etc. We also visited the Nature Center in Asheville which had so many wild animals. It's worth going! On Wednesday it rained, but we were happy to stay indoors and watch the storms pass over the mountains. What a beautiful sight of God's creation. Our boys LOVED it! On Thursday, we visited Chimney Rock and ate lunch at Genny's Restaurant near the entrance. You've got to try their Blackberry Cobbler! On Friday, we made the short trip to Biltmore and drove over to Mt. Mitchell. On the way home we even got to see three baby bear cubs on the road. Very cool! We were very blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at Amazing Grace. I hesitated to write this glowing review because we want to come back next year but hope that the reservations don't fill up too quickly, lol! Thanks for making our vacation and our stay incredible ~ One we will remember for many years. Blessings to your family! The Holdens and the Goshens.

Second Visit A+++ Experience

My husband and I returned to Amazing Grace for a short visit while checking out retirement properties in the area while on our trip to our son's graduation from Clemson Univ. in SC. As usual, everything at Amazing Grace was in perfect condition and so comfortable that we always feel so "at home" here. Laura and Glenn do an excellent job on welcoming their guests.Our last visit was in the fall, so this visit in May provided different vistas that were mostly green compared to the lush fall colors. Both sceneries were gorgeous, plus we had some lightning storms pass through that provided amazing light shows across the mountains in the evening hours. We had guests visit and they could not believe how incredible the home/views were. I had even mentioned to Laura that we would be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary that week and much to our surprise there was a personalized cake in the refrigerator on our arrival! I highly recommend this mountain retreat rental! No matter where I end up living in the future I will always want to return and find the connection to nature & God in this heavenly retreat.

True Mountain Retreat

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Amazing Grace". We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years & this one was superb! Mr. & Mrs. Kubilus have succeeded in providing all the comforts of home & much more for their guests. Communication with the owners was excellent & timely. During our week long vacation in the area, we visited Biltmore, went horseback riding at Cedar Creek Riding Stables in Lake Lure & shopped at the Manual Wood Workers & Weavers Outlet. We also enjoyed having lunch at the "La Strada at Lake Lure" restaurant (their pasta salad was awesome). If you are looking for a church to visit while in the area, we recommend "Boiling Springs Baptist Church" in Fletcher, NC (about 25 minutes away - close to the Asheville Regional Airport). We would love to stay again when the weather is warm enough to spend a lot of time out on the deck in the porch swing & rockers enjoying the view and watching the birds visit the feeders.

Thank you so much for the oppertinuty to stay in the amazing grace, it sure lives up to it's name, we had five in our party and enjoyed the comfort so much, we hardly left the home, we enjoyed the movie slection so much along with the comfort, words can't explain the fellowship and the kindness of the owners we had, I have never stayed in a place where the owners go all out to make your stay a one to remember,I would recommend this mountian get-away to any and all who has a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus christ to visit this beautiful mountian retreat. We had a very Blessed time with each other and a chance to reflect how wonderful our God is, what a beautiful picture God presents to you from the mountian tops to the sunrises and the sky above. Awesome Christmas Retreat & More...Love, Love, Loved it!!!!

Amazing Grace is everything that the name implies. It is an amazing beautiful, peaceful and charming home on top of a mountain with awesome views. The home is equipped with the best of everything. The owners Laura and her family have stocked this home with top of the line linens, towels, pots and pans, dishes, etc. They have thought of everything! The beds are the best and the cozy soft blankets are wonderful for feeling pampered. The home is spotless and is top notch in every way. Laura has the home set up with lots of touches that create for an easy visit rather it is for 2 nights or for 2 weeks. Amazing Grace is packed full of fun for cold winter days, with games, a large selection of great heart warming DVD's and a collection of CD's for relaxing, along with a pool table for friendly competition. The mountain range view is amazing and if you happen to be there during a full moon it is breath taking. We woke up to snow falling on Christmas morning, we enjoyed a white Christmas! The area is beautiful, great roads and paths for walking. The 2 porches are a great place to enjoy the view with a cup of coffee regardless the time of year. Amazing Grace is close enough to Hendersonville to be easy for outings but yet once on the mountain it seems as if you are in another world...away from all the hectic stuff of life. I could go on and on about this wonderful piece of heaven on earth. My husband and I were blessed to have spent Christmas week 2010 at Amazing Grace. Laura and her family have created a place full of love and attend to every detail. I did not get the privilege of meeting them in person but just know they are a wonderful family by our emails, phone calls and by staying in their vacation home. If you are looking for a mountain retreat for any reason and for a place to connect with your spouse, family, friends or God this is the perfect place. I did a some painting, journaling and reading, a beautiful place to connect with your creative side too. Book Amazing Grace now and be blessed! It is a great value! The hospitality offered by Laura was outstanding and she was so very helpful during our stay. House was perfect location for family to gather for the holiday weekend. Quiet bedrooms to grab a nap, pool table to keep young folks happy, and living room was very comfortable to gather together for a movie. Views were amazing and truly loved the sunrise! Great walks in the morning offered peace and serenity with the mountains. Hope we can return again one day.

My husband and I just finished up a 1 week stay at Amazing Grace as we are looking to retire to the Hendersonville/Asheville area in the near future. What a cozy and comfortable home! Everything exceeded our expectations and more! From my first contact with Laura via email to our check out phone call everything went smoothly. There are so many amenities that I can't think of anything else I could ask for. The home is immaculate and all the furniture, bedding, and towels are comfy. The views are breathtaking! We enjoyed having morning coffee on the deck watching the sun come up. What a peaceful and relaxing vacation! Hope to return in the future.

Amazing Grace lives up to its name in every way. This is by far the best vacation home we've ever booked. The pictures don't begin to do justice to the beautiful home and the spectacular surroundings. It is situated near the top of a mountain with long range views of beautiful wooded hills and mountains. The fall foliage was just breathtaking. We were there in sunny, cloudy, rainy, cold, windy, foggy and warm weather during our two weeks. The views were ever changing and always breathtaking. The house is so soundly built that we couldn't even tell when the wind howled outside. It was always snug and cozy within. Everything was spotless with every amenity you could ask for. The owners were just a phone call away if we had questions and were always gracious and helpful. The location is perfect. It is conveniently near roads to Asheville, Hendersonville, Black Mountain or Lake Lure. Two Interstates are within 20/25 miles. We booked the house with another couple. They stayed on the lower level and we were on the main floor. Both areas had tv's and sitting areas. We all had a wonderful time at Amazing Grace Cottage and would highly recommend it to anyone! We can't wait to return!

Amazing "Amazing Grace"

Our family spent 8 nights at Amazing Grace in August. No description can do this beautiful home justice. You have to experience it for yourself. We have routinely rented houses in several states for vacations. This is absolutely the cleanest best equipped house you will find. The view off the two tiered back deck is spectacular any time of day. We enjoyed the gold finches, piano, pool table and great selection of movies and games. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need, and the appliances, cookware and dishes are top quality. The people in this area are very friendly, always wave as you are going down the mountain, and will treat you like they have known you for years. We were close to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and the Biltmore and visited all, but enjoyed getting back to Amazing Grace to relax. This is our first experience with VRBO. Laura was so friendly and helpful and Amazing Grace far exceeded our expectations. We plan to visit again soon!

My husband and I stayed at "Amazing Grace" July 10-13. We wish we could have stayed longer! The view was just fantastic! Truly "Amazing"! Everything was just perfect in the house, more than the pictures can reveal. We especially loved the white linens and towels, that made us feel so special. Laura was so great to work with making sure we found the house. (We had a little trouble with our directions at first). Each morning we would sit on the deck with our breakfast and we stayed out there for hours just watching the birds and looking at the mountains. I would recommend this to anyone for a short getaway or even a week or longer. Next time we come back, it will be for at least a week! Jack and Kathy

Magnificant in the mountains

My wife, daughter, son and two westies had a fantastic time at this outstanding property in June 2010. The home was furnished with comfortable leather sofa, loveseat and recliners just perfect for watching the World Cup on the 50 inch tv. The beds were so comfortable we wanted to take them home with us. The pool table kept my son and I busy and the view from the porch was spectacular. Every thing was outstanding and I would highly recommend this wonderful place to everyone. Laura the owner was so easy to work with. Don't miss out on this one!

We loved the Amazing Grace Mountain Home. It is beautifully decorated and the view is absolutely amazing! The owner was incredibly nice and very accomodating. This vacation rental is awesome. This was our second stay at Amazing Grace. We were here in the fall and had to return for the spring. The views are amazing! The home is very clean, spaceous and everything that you could possibly need is provided. Kitchen is fully stocked. The area is so peaceful. It is so refreshing to stay in a christian vacation home and to deal with christian owners. Laura has such a sweet spirit and is great to work with. We hope to return soon.

Amazing Grace is truly AMAZING, and so are the owners (and they are very accessible). We even had a goodie bag awaiting our arrival! The cabin is clean, and the views are great. All the furniture is top-notch. We loved the soft yet firm (easy to get in and out of!) leather sofas--SO comfortable. From the front porch, you enter the upper level which includes the kitchen/dining and living areas. The master bedroom (with a comfortable king bed and loads of available pillows) and 1 1/2 baths are on this level as well. If there are just two of you, you won't even need the lower level unless you want to play pool or grab some board games (so no stairs to deal with after you get inside). We watched many family- and Christian-themed DVDs--really good ones! And there is surround sound speakers to make that experience even more enjoyable. We also played Christmas music on the Bose CD player, the same kind we have at home and love. It was peaceful and serene--even to the birds because they "visited" us often! It is away-from-it-all yet close enough to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Historic Hendersonville and some great restaurants. This is the perfect place for a retreat. We hope to return for another one!

Wow!! If you are considering the mountaings this is definitely your place to stay. The owners exalt the Lord in every room and the views are just breathtaking!! Website does not do it justice. Our family stayed October 22-25 and the leaves were beautiful. Our youngest even discovered she loves the piano!! The owner is such a blessing just to talk to. Very close to scenic routes and chimney rock state park. And as the old saying goes "This one's a keeper"

Our family has just returned from two weeks at Amazing Grace. Glenn & Laura have put much time and energy thinking of what a family needs during a getaway. The kitchen is very well equipped with most everything a family would need to cook wonderful meals. The great room is comfortable & the 50inch HDTV with surround sound will make movie viewing a theater experience. Each morning we opened the blinds and watched the sunrise. We saw fire in the sky some mornings and smoke filling the valleys on others. It was not uncommon to sit on the balcony and just quietly look at the beauty of the view. Bird feeders brought song birds close. Their music always a reminder of the words of Jesus, "...they do not worry...". Each day we were within an easy drive of mountain beauty & adventure. Rock hopping on the Rocky Broad, walking on trails and finding another water fall. Even better, sitting along the river, closing your eyes and allowing the sound of mighty waters to fill soul and heart of God's wonder. Life long memories were made in this home. Some of that is due to the spirit of the home created by Glenn & Laura. This home sings of a family with a deep and simple faith in God as creator of ALL good things. You will experience, "All things wild & wonderful" as rest and peace abide with you in this home and place.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The views are incredible. The kids loved the pooltable. The cabin was clean, well furnished with a nicely equipped kitchen. It was so relaxing to take a few days off and enjoy. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here with our three young children on August 10th and 11th. We enjoyed it very much, and intend to return the next time we visit Chimney Rock. This was our third cabin rental in the area but the other two rental properties couldn't measure up to this one. The kids loved the home theater experience, and the wide selection of kid-friendly movies. We loved the view of the mountains from the patio. This is definitely not your typical rustic cabin -- the house is well-furnished, clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The location is conveniently close to Chimney Rock.

I could never say enough good about this wonderful rental. This was by far the best vacation we have had. The view was breath taking. It was as if we were sitting above the clouds. The entire home was wonderfully decorated. The pool table was so much fun for my husband & I. The movies were also great. My husband enjoyed watching the birds eat from the feeders each morning. I enjoyed eating breakfast on the deck, while looking over the tops of the trees & clouds. It was great to have a grill there & even horseshoes to play. It was close enough to shopping but not too close,which was great for privacy. I would certainly reccomend this wonderful place to anyone. The owner was more generous than I could ever say. She even had a special gift bag full of goodies for us when we arrived. Amazing Grace rental truly was amazing & was the perfect little piece of Heaven on earth for our 19th wedding anniversary.Thanks to the owners of Amazing grace rental for all they did to make it a special time for us.

The website does not show the beauty of this home. It is tastefully decorated. I loved every room. Many amenties are not described such as 50" widescreen tv with surround sound. If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet place to just lay back and relax...this is the place. Everything you need is here. I did not want to leave. I hope to go back again soon.
