Accommodations: Apartment, Studio + No additional sleeping rooms avail, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-3)
Keywords: Loft Studio apartment
Our short term London apartment rental sleeps up to three people and is located in Kensington, one of the most sought after areas of London.
Walk to the famous Museum Row, to Kensington Palace where Princess Diana lived, to Hyde Park, Speaker's Corner, Buckingham Palace, The Princess Diana Fountain, Harrods, to the trendy shops and restaurants of Fulham Road, The King's Road, Brompton Cross and High Street Kensington, including the designer shops on Walton Street, Sloane Street and Fulham Road. You are five minutes walk to Gloucester Road Tube or to South Kensington Tube, which are direct to Heathrow and to the Theatre District.
Walk up the original stone steps of this grand Victorian building; it was once a single, large home but has since been converted into apartments. The short term apartment rental is located to the right and down a hallway from the Central Lobby. The flat has been meticulously remodelled and is furnished to the highest standards to provide an elegant and comfortable stay in London.
Enter to find the bathroom to your left and the kitchen directly ahead with a beautifully refinished oak wood floor that is complimented with the blond-oak kitchen cabinets and the cream color walls. This theme is carried throughout the apartment to enhance its space and give it an airy feel. The bathroom to your left is no exception. Built-in cabinets below the sink and lots of counter space. Find a full sized shower as well as the many chrome fixtures.
Proceed into the kitchen and the apartment details continue to please. It has been totally remodeled and decorated with halogen lighting and pale glass mosaic tiles behind the cabinets. The kitchen is small, but offers plenty of counter top space and every modern appliance you would need; full convection oven,4 burner oven, stove, and refrigerator, you’ll find a washing machine, toaster, espresso maker, microwave, drip coffeemaker, pots and pans, and top-of-the-line dishes and utensils—everything you’ll need to prepare meals. The apartment angles to the right as you exit the kitchen, and immediately on your right you find a small dining nook. It has a glass topped table and leather dining chairs with two extra folding chairs in a cupboard if more seating is needed.
The cozy living room has a long modern sofa that we had made for us in Italy. The sofa converts to a single bed at night and is comfortable for lounging or napping during the day. Enhancing the room’s size are an enormous theatre set painting on the left wall and the 12-foot-long hanging silk curtains in taupe framing the large, stacked windows.
Large,ceiling-height windows soar behind the sofa, making the apartment very light. Our guests tell us the photos don't do justice to the wonderful feeling of space and light you have when you are relaxing in the living room.
The immense size and height of the ceiling allowed for the construction of a mezzanine loft for sleeping quarters. And in order to conserve space, we constructed a contemporary style staircase with alternate risers so it is more natural to climb. It’s a clever and space-saving idea, more comfortable than a spiral staircase. The mezzanine features an extra wide queen-sized bed and cupboards, and there are additional cupboards under the stairs, in the entryway, and in the eating nook, so there is plenty of storage space.
Further enhancing this beautiful London apartment are the original Victorian oil paintings on the ceiling which have been restored and are historically listed. And, to top it off, we’ve installed a beautiful French chandelier. We also provide a TV with all the English channels, dual standard DVD player, and stereo so you can bring your own music and films to enjoy. You’ll also find free high-speed Internet access so you can catch up on your emails.
The location is unmatched; step outside and find Kensington Gardens one minute away on your left and Museum Row to your right. There are tons of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood and the famous shopping of Kensington and Knightsbridge is a short walk away.
If you have any questions or would like to enquire about availability please email and we'll get right back to you!

'I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed our stay at the Queensgate apartment. Never have I seen such beautifully inventive use of space! Everything was absolutely comfortable, exceptionally beautiful, and truly perfect. As in all of the ParisPerfect and LondonPerfect apartments in which we’ve stayed, Madeline's sense of design and hospitality is awesome. Thanks for the opportunity to "live" in London.'

Fell in love with London when I was tranferred here on business from the US 25 years ago. London is now home to me and my family. We manage a select group of apartments in central London. They are perfectly located, beautifully furnished and offer all the comforts of home. Most importantly, they are centrally located: walking distance to landmarks, Museum Row, Kensington Palace where Diana lived and Hyde Park, where Peter Pan was written. They are an easy hop on the tube to the theater district. Take the red London buses or tube to the major sites, from St. Paul's, to Big Ben, Westminster and more. When you reserve, we send a complete information pack about your apartment, the neighborhood and even recommended a trusted and reasonably driver to pick you up from the airport. We are there to welcome you and answer any questions you may have! Our guests love their stays and come back again to LondonPerfect or our Paris apartments at ParisPerfect!

" We have returned home after a simply wonderful week in London. We loved the Queen’s Gate apartment. What a clever use of space! It was very comfortable for the two of us and we got the hang of the stairs right away. Your restaurant recommendations were great. We loved both Clark's and L'etranger...delicious dinners at both. We'd also like to recommend to you a shop for prepared food....Ottolenghi....on Holland Street right off of Kensington Church Street. I was given one of his cookbook

"My 19 year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Queen's Gate. We couldn't have stayed in a better location and the apartment was lovely. It had everything we needed and the booklet of information came in very handy. We tried many of the suggested restaurants and enjoyed all of them. We liked being able to walk out the door and walk in any direction to get to many restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. We didn't make a lot of use of the kitchen but it was nice to have the facilities on the few days that we just wanted to grab a bite to eat between excursions. We highly recommend booking Lushi for your ride from the airport. It was nice to speak with a local upon arrival and he was very courteous and friendly. We hope to stay at the Queen's Gate again during our next visit to London."

"We were extremely pleased with the flat. The location was outstanding - close to the subway, stores, restaurants, parks and museums. The flat was beautifully decorated, very clean and had everything we needed including loads of information about London and our neighbourhood. My husband and I and our 12 year old daughter would definitely rent this flat again and we will most certainly recommend London Perfect to others traveling to London. I wish we had known about your rentals in Paris as the place we rented from another company was not nearly as nice as our Queen's Gate home."

"We enjoyed the Queens Gate apartment very much. It had everything we needed and was delightfully decorated. The stairs were a bit tricky, but other than that, it was great. Close to the tube and lots of places were within walking distance. Madelyn sent us tons of helpful information and we were able to use our iPad with the WiFi access. Loved it!"

"This is a lovely flat in a fantastic location. Two tube stops within extremely easy walking distance (< 5 min)and black cabs pass frequently. The loft is exactly as depicted on the website -- clean, compact, and perfect for a vacation stay. The linens are great (towels are John Lewis), and even shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer are supplied! Security is also good. I will definitely stay here again, and will recommend it to friends. I will also recommend Lushi\'s car service for transport to and from Heathrow -- how wonderful to be picked up at the door and not have to haul bags on a train!"

"Location: Excellent. Across from Natural History Museum and near V&A museum. Short walk to Harrods. Two tube stops nearby. Unlimited shops in neighborhood, from Boots to Waitrose. Lots of good restaurants close at hand. Apartment: exactly as pictured. Beautiful decor from paintings to "frescoes". First floor, street level, (not below). Bedroom: cozy, luxurious sheets and gorgeous duvet cover, very good reading lights. Kitchen: full range, oven, microwave, refrig, washing machine. Granite counter, sleek cabinets, 2 coffeepots (the espresso one was amazingly good..and we had just come from a few weeks in Rome so we knew what a good cup of espresso tasted like). Bathroom: spacious, well lit, plenty of counterspace and drawers, good water pressure. Entertainment: T.V. with multiple channels. Tons of London guide books and some great novels/mysteries. Information folder on how everything worked in the apartment and clear instructions for everything from trash disposal to where exactly to get more coffee pods for that great little espresson machine. Note: recommended driver also very nice, helpful and prompt. We can't wait to try one of the Paris Perfect apartments for our next big adventure!"

" Loved, loved, loved Queen’s Gate!! I was there by myself and felt soooo comfortable. Very nicely appointed kitchen. Lovely big bathroom. Super comfy bed with lovely linens. Yes, it’s a studio but the loft bedroom gives it more a one bedroom feel. Lots of tour books and resources on the bookshelf. Free wifi. Unbelievable neighborhood, just down from Kensington Gardens, about 10 minutes walk from Gloucester tube station (which is also on the Picadilly line with access to Heathrow). When I was planning this trip I looked at the rates I paid for the last couple of hotels I stayed at in London. Queen’s Gate was no more expensive for so much more!! My dealings with Philippe and Madelyn were very professional and all was as advertised. These are people who obviously care about their business and their guests. I would jump at the chance to stay there again!!"

" Although small, this immaculately clean and well-appointed apartment never felt cramped. Sleek, modern furniture and fixtures combine well with elegant ceiling and wall paintings in keeping with the building's refined history. Excellent neighborhood always felt safe. Inventive "pigeon" steps to loft bed might be ill-advised for a frail person but otherwise rather fun--even for this older couple. (There's a second, pull-out bed/couch on main floor for anyone who could not use the stairs.) Book containing instructions for appliances, suggestions for shopping in the area, and guidance on transportation most helpful. Welcome gift of wine quite nice, as was Madelyn's warm greeting on arrival. We would stay again!"
