There were 13 of us that met from FL to TX to celebrate Christmas and our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. It was the 1st time in about 15 years we have all been together at one time. We had a fabulous time. The house was PERFECT; plenty of space and having the 2 kitchens when cooking for that many for Christmas dinner was great. The owners and their representative were great to work with. I just wish we had more time too much to see and do. Thank you so much for sharing your house with all of us. We had a great time.
Owner response:Family reunions are so special when they work so well with alot of great comfy space. So happy for your wonderful experience. Come back again & visit. Thank you!!

My (extended) family and I had a wonderful week. The whole experience was great; the owners & house manager were friendly and efficient, the house was all that was included in the description and more, and we found it clean and very well equipped for a large group. We had a group ranging from 45 to 5 years old and, both in the house or while in the nearby activities, we could choose to be all together or not. We enjoyed hiking, the Caves, the Falls, ice skating, tubing , "supervising" the skiers from our own fireplace, and watching the New Years Eve fireworks. Enjoy!
Owner response:You came a long way from Puerto Rico to Sugar Mountain. Happy New Year & we are pleased to have provided you a wonderful place for celebration. Thank you.

Our family (children and grandchildren) enjoyed our stay at this home in December. As soon as we walked in we all agreed it was perfect. It is such a warm and comfortable home with everything you will need. The location is great for all your activities and the view of the slopes from the house is beautiful. The owner of the home was a pleasure to work with and we hope to return again someday. Thank you.
Owner response:Thank you so much. Hope to accommodate you and family again, so glad your holidays were very special at our home.

Nine of us met here for a picture-perfect fall weekend golf retreat and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful mountain home. The 2 floors are nearly identical in layout, so 2 families would especially enjoy the luxury of having their own kitchen, family room with TV, fireplace, etc. The setting of this home is very private, and the deck is well equipped with a charcoal grill, seating for 10, and (our favorite feature) a fire pit. The kitchen was well-equipped as well... so much so that we ate every meal there. The owners were great to work with, so we look forward to returning sometime... winter, spring, summer or fall.

An extended family of 6 adults and 6 children had a wonderful stay in this home over the week July 4, 2011. The furnishings and fixtures were as advertised and in very good condition. The home is very spacious and children friendly. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend this home for families. We were able to seat all family members at the two tables on the upper level for our family meals.
Owner response:We are so happy to hear how comfortable our guests felt and there are many availabilities for your special occasion or relaxing group get-away. Two levels with kitchen, dining room and living room on each level makes it easy for privacy and cooking, dining. Sugar Mountain is close to a great variety of activities all seasons: skiing and snowboarding, ice skating; mountain biking, golf, fishing, hiking, Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, great restaurants & shopping, antiques, beautiful foilage, amusement parks, etc.

What a beautiful place to rest and renew and enjoy loved ones. We loved the deck and the fire pit. The family rooms were plenty big enough for us all to be together. The rooms were perfect size and space for us to get some much needed restful sleep. Plenty to do down in Banner Elk and surrounding cities. The Parade was a highlight of the weekend. We were greatful for the Larde parking area on the Mtn. it is essencial. Great forest view off the deck! We were delighted to find a mother bird and her chicks in the plant outside the front door as well. What a treat! Patty and extended Family
