We had several small children and this place was perfect. We carried them to the pool, bowling, and playground all walking distance from the cabin. Community Center prices were only a dollar or 2 per person. Perfect distance from town! Close enough to town that we could be there in 5 minutes but away from the crowd in a friendly subdivision. Neighbors were out walking smiling at our children hunting Easter Eggs and even helped take a family photo of us before we left. Manager was easy to contact when we had questions. The cabin was fully stocked. We had everything we needed. Having 3 levels helped us to spread out. little ones could nap while older children played. It was fabulous.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We just returned from our 6 day stay at this wonderful log home. A couple very good friends from high school and myself wanted to do a road trip and a nice vacation. We did a lot of research and wanted to find the perfect place to stay. THIS WAS IT! So comfortable, very clean beautiful place and to top it off an great view of the mountains. I have put my pictures on facebook and so many people asked where your home was.We will return and when we do we ant to stay at Smokey Hills Hideaway again. We even made a friend while we were there, a little black dog would visit us every morning. And thanks, Sheila for all your help and information, the place looked beautiful upon our arrival. Thanks for making our stay so fabulous.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Wow! We stayed at this cabin the end of June and everyone in the party from the grandparents to the grandkids and everyone in between loved the cabin! The proximity to the community center was awesome. The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed and the air hockey table and pool table were a big hit! The hot-tub was nice on the deck as well. Everything worked and we really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was great - during our 6 night stay, we white water rafted, rode horses in the mountains, ziplined, rode go-karts, played mini-golf, went shopping, went to the magic show and had lots of good times at the community center. It was a great location for us to meet and would highly recommend the cabin! We had children in our party ages 9-17 and adults 40-66 and everyone thought it was the best family trip so far. The view from the deck is incredible and was the perfect place to play a game, read a book or just relax!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank YOU! We so appreciate your taking the time to write us this wonderful review! We take great pride in ensuring that all our guests are as satisfied as you were and we hope they enjoy so they can be guests forever and recommend friends. Thanks, again and have an outstanding rest of the summer!

We just returned home from staying at this rental and I am already missing it. The night before our departure my husband and I had planned a "date night", then decided we just wanted to hang out in the cabin. The view of of the Smokies is spectacular and my favorite part of the week long stay was sitting on the balcony, facing Mt. Leconte, and having my morning coffee with my mom and dad. The property owner/owners were very nice as well as the property manager. We were more than pleased with the cleanliness and location of the cabin and will be guaranteed return renters. Thank you so much!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words about your stay! We are ecstatic you enjoyed the cabin and your vacation. That's what we aim for!!! Please return. We welcome you!!!!

I was initially drawn to this property due to the price. It is affordable and very competitive. The pictures were enticing and we were looking forward to staying at Smoky Hill for a family and friends getaway. When we arrived at the property we were very happy that we had chosen this house. Others have written and I heartily agree that the pictures don't do justice to the house. It is very spacious and was perfect for our party of 4 adults, 4 teens and 1 infant. The icing on the cake was the evenings that we sat on the porch and enjoyed the beautiful view of Mt. Leconte. The next time we vacation in Gatlinburg, we will definitely stay at Smoky Hill.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

My family went up to Gatlinburg for a few days after X-mas and we stayed at this cabin! Most of my family hadn't been to TN so they truly enjoyed their stay. The owners of the cabin had gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We enjoyed having DVDs available to watch, an extra pull-out bed, board games, and basic amenities. We had plenty of space for all 9 of us! Thank you so much! I highly recommend this cabin to anyone that visits Gatlinburg!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers.
