Great Chalet

We had such a great stay here. The chalet is great and located close to everything. You are minutes from downtown and numerous ski resort. Conway has a lot of shops and great dining. There is a lot to do even if you don't ski (trust me;D). We loved the chalet so much we didn't want to leave. Everything worked great and I loved having access to a kitchen and washed/dryer.

Wanted to say we had a really nice time at the chalet. Although it was quite cold, the wood burning stove kept the chalet very warm and cozy. Loved it so much we're thinking of renting this summer. Thanks again Bill!

I stayed here with my boyfriend from January 9th-13th. This place is perfect! It really was a home away from home. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could possibly need, the living room was extremely comfy and the place was spotless! It is a 10 minute drive from any store, restaurant, or anything you might need yet it is private and secluded. The brook out back was beautiful. I rate this place a 100!!!! We plan to return next winter and perhaps even this summer as well!

Cozy New Year Retreat

The chalet was just what we needed for our New Year ski retreat and the location got us just where we wanted, in the mountains but not shut off from society in the middle of no where. North Conway is only a 10 minute drive, which was quite convenient when I realized I forgot bath towels. There is plenty of shopping in town to accommodate the shoppers or for those like myself, who always forget to pack something essential as well as stock up at the grocery store. I loved walking out the door in the morning to hear the sound of the bubbling creek which ran just along the property. Mount Cranmore (great family ski resort) was only 10 minutes away. We skied hard all day and were then able come back the very comfy chalet to a hot shower, rest, cook dinner and enjoy some family time playing cards and board games. With 2 twelve year olds and a fifteen year old there was plenty enough space for all of us to relax and get a good night's rest only to get up and do it all over again! We may even try to make it back for another long weekend before the ski season ends. That is if Mother Nature cooperates and sends us some of the white fluffy stuff. The chalet was clean and we were happy to not have to spend a small fortune eating out and thoroughly enjoyed the use of the fully equipped kitchen. However, there is no lack of dining out choices in North Conway if that is what you are looking for.

We met here with 3 of our friends from different States over Thanksgiving. We were all together 5 people and stayed for 2 nights. The owner replies fast and is very helpful when replying to all questions. Instructions given for the chalet (e.g. check in/out list) are all clear and prompt. Everything went smoothly from start to end. This place really felt like home, very well equipped and clean. A perfect place for vacation; it is very quiet and relatively close to several hiking places and shopping centers, you need a car though, or a bike. The fire place warms up the whole living room, dinning room and kitchen quite quickly. There was snow all around when we were there, which was beautiful. We usually arrived late after hiking, so we were partly lazy, partly tiered to go out in the night for a walk around the little pond. The chalet looks much better in real life than on the photos. Absolutely recommend it and would love to come back in the summer.

My wife and I had a great stay the week that hurricane Irene hit New England. We were warm and dry during the all night rainstorm. Cable TV and wifi internet kept us entertained. The rest of the week we had the best weather for hiking ever. The chalet was roomy and well equipped. Furniture was comfortable and in good shape. Kitchen was great and dining area was enough to seat 6, even though we were just two. Bedroom was clean, in fact everything was immaculate. Bathroom and shower were ideal (although the toitet can get clogged if you are not careful). We took advantage of the canoe one afternoon and explored both large ponds. White Mountain trails were within easy range.

Our Summer Stay

Just wanted to thank you for sharing your chalet with us! My husband, myself and our two kids, ( 18mths and 3 years old) had such a wonderful time on our vacation. The chalet is adorable, clean and felt just like home. There was everything we needed right at the chalet. We enjoyed sitting out by the fire or on one of the two porches every night listening to the brook, it is very quiet there. I brought my daughter down to the brook, where we caught some frogs, she thought that was such an adventure! The pond, beach and fenced in playground are a one minute walk from the house, which was so convenient with two small children. The water is crystal clear, sandy and goes out very gradual, perfect! The beach was never crowded. We spent our days at Storyland, The Conway Scenic Railroad, and shopping in North Conway. We drove up to the top of Cathedral Ledge, gorgeous view, and then spent the day swimming at Echo Lake, that is a must. Right down the road from the chalet in Conway, maybe 10 minutes, there is Davis Park a wonderful place to go swimming on the Saco River. The water is crystal clear, shallow, and sandy. Along route 16 you can rent tubes to go tubing down the river. Your trip won't be complete without a drive down the Kancamangus Highway, 32 miles of the most beautiful scenery of White Mountain National forest. You could spend your whole trip there stopping at all the wonderful places swim and hike along the river. Needless to say I loved my vacation and will be back again next year!!!!

My sons and I stayed in this chalet for a week this summer. It was IMMACULATE upon arrival. The beds were comfortable and the deck was lovely with the sounds of the babbling brook below as we ate dinner outside in the evening. The house was very homey, nicely decorated, had everything we needed and was very comfortable. You can tell the owners take pride in owning this home, and it is well taken care of. The firepit with chairs provided was an excellent place to enjoy a fire in the evenings. It was an EASY super-short walk to a lovely little beach at the lake with a floating dock not very far out. My sons enjoyed the lake, playing in the brook next to the house and the little playground across from the beach. A basket filled with brochures from every conceivable area attraction, maps of all White Mountain areas, and local restaurant menus was a really great touch! Communication with the owner was excellent as well. Prompt responses to all inquiries, phone number provided in the event that problems arose during our stay, and our deposit was returned rapidly. I could not have asked for a more lovely vacation rental experience. Thank you!!!

What a great little cabin. My in laws were over from England and we wanted to do something fun while they were here. It was such a cozy place to come back to every night after hiking, shopping and site seeing all day. Very clean and comfortable felt like a home away from home. We also had a great time taking the canoe out and walking the kids to the park in the evenings. Would love to stay again if we come back to the area. and would recommend to others.
