Why the Owner Chose Wailea Beach Villas
We chose the Wailea Beach Villas because it is the most beautiful resort in Maui! We love the sunny weather in South Maui and Wailea Beach is gorgeous. We also love the fact you are within walking distance of many incredible restaurants and the Shops at Wailea, yet the Beach Villas provide much more privacy and living space than a resort hotel...as well as a gourmet kitchen for those times you want to barbeque on the lanai or simply have a family meal in the villa.
One of our favorite features is the beautiful 3- mile path that winds along the water. We have enjoyed seeing turtles, whales and an occasional rainbow along this breathtakingly picturesque walk.
There are plenty of umbrellas, lounge chairs, and shaded areas at both swimming pools. If you wish, the pool attendants will happily set up lounge chairs & umbrellas right on Wailea Beach. Towels, sunscreen and water are always available at the pools. The Wailea Beach Villas resort is perfect for families, but also has a very peaceful feeling.
In addition, there are five world class golf courses within a few miles of the villa and two tennis clubs. We are next door to the Grand Wailea which offers one of the finest spas and terme facilities in the world!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
We love being able to seeing the ocean from our kitchen, living room, master bedroom and lanai, especially at sunset and during whale season!
Our location is very central in the resort. It is a 30 second walk to the children’s pool & fitness center, and a 3-4 minute walk to the adult pool & ocean and The Shops at Wailea. We have a waterfall just below our balcony, providing a calming water feature and a wonderful reminder that we are in the tropics. We hope we have created an elegant, welcoming villa that reflects the feeling of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim, while making you feel right at home.

Honu Kai villa is owned by two families, the Leonards and the Carlucci’s. We have been friends for nearly 25 years. Both families live in California, have 3 children and share a love of Maui. Maui is dear to our hearts and has become our favorite vacation spot over the years. This is where our families have made friends and memories and we all consider it our “home away from home”. When we decided it was time to actually have that home away from home, Wailea was our only choice! The best weather, best beaches and best restaurants on Maui are here in Wailea. We hope you will enjoy our home in paradise as much as we do.

My wife and I had a most wonderful vacation at your beautiful villa. Many mornings were spent relaxing on the balcony, viewing the exotic and abundant vegetation, simply enjoying the peace and comfort all about us. With the pools and ocean steps away, daily swimming was ideal. The staff at the Villas was extremely helpful, friendly, and kind. We visited many stores and galleries, in fact we still get emails from the Lahaina Gallery, one of our favorites. Though we dined at local restaurants, we loved cooking and enjoying many a meal at the villa while watching beautiful sunsets and listening to our favorite music. Please accept our genuine thanks for a holiday of a lifetime...Mahalo...

We just returned from a spectacular trip to Maui where we enjoyed everything about this property and Villa. The Villa (F201) is absolutely gorgeous – tastefully furnished, luxuriously spacious and exceptionally appointed. There is a peaceful elegance in the interior design with Pacific Asian motif in artwork and furnishings. Masterful construction, high-end appliances, fine granite and marble finishes, halogen dimmed lighting, and always comforting central AC (controllable for each room and operable except when the lanai doors are open for warm tropical breezes) combine naturally with ocean views, indigenous landscaping and cascading waterfalls. Large floor to ceiling doors open up to a large lanai with comfortable outdoor seating and dining table, outdoor grill and refrigerator. The entire family/living room and kitchen overlook the ocean, treetops, and landscaped beauty. This 2nd floor Villa is also particularly notable on the property for its exceptional quiet setting and privacy – an oasis of luxury and comfort. We found everything to be perfectly as described in the detailed descriptions on the website. Even the smallest of details is attended to (fine soaps, shampoos, plush towels, soft linens, kitchen necessities). Most importantly, we immediately felt peaceful and at home. A short walk down the path, the beach was spectacular – amazingly smooth (no stones or crushed shells) soft clay-like sand beaches with a shallow, extended drop that invites very young waders, body surfers, boogie boarders and snorkelers in for easy rides in the calm morning surf - picking up with slightly bigger waves in the afternoons. Our young son had his first body surfing and boogie boarding experiences here this trip – something he could not likely have done yet elsewhere. We so enjoyed watching him ride, tumble, laugh, shriek, and then run right back in. Beach attendants provide lounge chairs and umbrellas just a few feet away from water edge. We also spent considerable time at the kid’s pool – a fun setting for the entire family. A real treat is the adult edgeless pool right off the ocean path with gorgeous ocean views. The concierge manager Tracy seems to be always available on-site, providing great service and attention for the largest or smallest of requests. Also, many great restaurants and shops are minutes away by car and foot. So if you're looking for luxury, comfort, peaceful setting, gem of location with great staff, this is it! We hope to be back soon!

The Wailea Beach Villas at are amazing. Two great pools, beautiful grounds, fantastic amenities for all interests and ages. My wife and I have stayed in this unit four times and will go back again. We have seen several units at the Villas and we like this one the best for several reasons. First its location. It is about halfway between the adult pool and beach and the family pool/main building. Also close to parking and an easy walk to both the shops at Wailea and many restaurants along the beach. Second, the owners have managed to decorate and furnish the place in a manner that is both elegant and comfortable. Some places we have stayed, while beautiful, are not inviting or comfortable. 5 minutes into our first visit and we felt like this was home for the week. We go on vacation to relax and be with friends and family and this elegant yet comfortable home is perfect. In addition, it has great views of the ocean and the lush grounds, all the electronic media one could ask for on a vacation and a well equipped kitchen for those who like to cook (which I do even when on vacation). Highly recommend this place to others (just don't book the week we want next time :).

Better than a resort - we instantly felt at home. The condo had everything we needed and more. We cherish the memories we made and can't wait to go back. The only disappointing part of the trip was having to leave at the end ;)

This was truly an amazing experience, the location-pools, beach, restaurants, golf, walking, as well an excellent staff made our vacation everything we hoped for. The unit itself is First Class with wonderful views. We had breakfast outside every morning and the tropical breezes help make this a true Hawaiian experience.
