Situated in the 7th arrondisement, one of the most beautiful and centrally located areas of Paris, the apartment “Champs de Mars” is romantic and ideal for tourists or business travelers to Paris. Its only a short walk from Ecole Militaire, the famous park Champ de Mars, the Eiffel Tower, and the fabulous market street of Rue Cler.

The apartment is newly remodeled and tastefully decorated. It faces south, which makes it light and pleasant for all seasons. It is located on the fourth floor of a 17th century typical Parisian building facing a large court yard, quiet and comfortable during the day and night.

The famous Rue Cler, known for its gourmet food shops, restaurants and colorful flowers and people, is a perfect place to buy your croissants or pain au chocolat, or to enjoy your morning café-au-lait people watching at its famous cafes. Here you will find an unbelievable assortment of cheeses, wines, and every food imaginable if you choose to use our fully equipped modern kitchen in the apartment. There are also many famous restaurants in walking distance.

The apartment is furnished for comfort and style. There is original art on the walls and antiques throughout the apartment. It is equipped with very comfortable beds. There are two twin size beds in the bedroom that can be together or apart. The mattresses are Boultex, the best quality mattresses in France. The two separate rooms of the apartment sleep 4 people comfortably and privately. The shower is separate from the WC room. There are hardwood floors throughout the apartment except the tile floor in the kitchen and shower room. There is a washer and dryer in the kitchen and fireplace in the living room. Wireless internet access is provided, along with cable TV, stereo/CD/DVD player, free calls to the US and Canada (but not to cell phones!) and many guidebooks for your stay in France. Bienvenu, and bon appetite!

Pretty, cozy, and convenient

Guest: wannabe-parisian (Austin, TX)
Date of Stay: 11/19/09 Review Submitted: 02/01/10

My father, sister, and I stayed in the apartment in November 2009 and found it to be delightful. The pictures are exactly what the apartment looks like, but for people who aren't used to Parisian (or New York) apartments, you might imagine it is larger than it actually is. It was a little tight for three adults (but we're on the large side - the smallest of us is 5' 10") but not uncomfortable in the slightest. I could see it being perfect for a couple, a couple with a child (or two smaller ones) or 2-3 friends. The stairs - 4 flights, are only an issue if you are mobility impaired (there is no elevator). My father, 65, pleasantly plump and sporting an artifical hip, never complained. Now, my sister and I did whine a bit when we carried our luggage up the first day, but the rest of the time it just helped me burn off the cheese and wine calories. The owners really have thought of everything: travel books, umbrellas, shower cap, ironing board, even spices. Every time I thought "oh darn, I didn't remember to bring X," I looked around and found it already provided for me. The beds are comfortable, the water is hot and has good pressure, the building is quiet. It's really perfect - especially if you don't plan to eat every meal in a restaurant. The neighborhood is charming and very safe, with a 2-minute walk to Rue Cler (fantastic cheese and wine shops, yummy crepes and on market day - fantastic people watching and browsing) and a few minutes more to the Metro and restaurants that stay open pretty late. There is a great little health-food store near the Metro stop, which had gluten-free food (important for many these days) and a great Italian deli between the Metro stop and the Seine for a quick picnic dinner (if you ever decide to eat something other than French food. :) The owners refunded my security deposit very promptly and the entire thing went without a hitch. The owner's representative was very friendly and accomodating as far as when to meet us when we arrived. Overall, I highly recommend it over a hotel and plan to stay there again soon.

Christmas holiday in Paris

Date of Stay: 12/20/11 Review Submitted: 01/15/12

Our son studying abroad fall semester in Nantes set up a wonderful opportunity for our family vacation in Paris. The apartment was very nicely decorated, clean and had all the amenities as advertised. The only real time spent at the apartment was late evening reading, planning for the next day activities, sleeping and coffee in the mornings. All four of us slept very well each night largely in part to all the walking we did during the day, the very comfortable beds and extremely quiet surroundings. There was plenty of information provided at the apartment recommending places to eat and visit. We absolutely loved the rue Cler open street market area for food shopping. Maite, the apartment manager was very pleasant and helpful providing transportation recommendations to and from the airport, informative check-in, and timely checkout out of the apartment. This was a family vacation we will always treasure. Thank you Tom, Elana and Maite for providing the perfect accommodations.

My first stay in an apartment in Paris resulted in this now being the standard! The bar has been raised! This apartment was PERFECT--size, location, amenities, etc. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay. Excellent--close to the Eiffel Tower, Rue Cler and Metro stop. Can't wait to go back!

The Perfect Neighborhood!!

Guest: Jennifer G. (Denver, Colorado)
Date of Stay: 10/15/11 Review Submitted: 11/03/11

We traveled to Paris Oct. 15-22, 2011! 4 adults (me,boyfriend,my mom, his mom!!). The owners were so helpful with all the planning! The on-site manager met us at the apartment and was great!! She was entertaining, informational, and made herself available for assistance if needed throughout the entire stay! The apartment was cute and cozy! We had everything we needed plus some! The wifi and phone service was great! I will say after a full day in Paris the stairs are a killer :), but thats Paris!! My favorite thing about this apartment was the location! You are just outside the crazy hustle and bustle! In a neighorhood where you could relax, feel safe, and and actually enjoy a real Paris neighborhood without worry %100 about pick-pockets. Literally 2 blocks from Rue Cler! A fabulous street with markets, vendors, amazing restaurants (Try Tribecca), and small groceries! There was a new great bakery caddycorner from the aparment! Close to metro station, and transportation! I will say that for us maybe a little more space would have been good! But it worked completely fine, and never had an issue! The beds were very comfy, the heat worked great, and there is more than enough hot water! Having the kitchen was great for have cold drinks, and keeping snacks on hand! We did use the washer/dryer, interesting...but it worked great!! All in all we had an amazing time! I would recommend the apartment to anyone!!

Lovely vacation for 3 in Paris

Guest: Jenny F. (San Diego, California)
Date of Stay: 10/24/11 Review Submitted: 11/02/11

Two ladies and I shared the lovely apartment at 22 Rue du Champ de Mars from 10/24/11 to 10/31/11. The apartment was well appointed, had everything three women needed to enjoy life in a far away vacation home, was one block from a patisserie, one block from the Ecole Militaire (Metro station), had at least three or four grocery stores around several corners, was two blocks from Rue Cler, was surrounded by restaurants, and was basically three blocks from Champ de Mars (the long park that the Eiffel Tower is located). Our weather was perfect and our host Tom Pors and the property manager, Maite, were very responsive to our needs. The only drawbacks were the 87 stairs to the fourth floor apartment (really the 5th floor) and no elevator, so workout now, pack light, and plan your apartment exits wisely. By the end of the week, we were in great shape! Thank you Tom and Maite for a great stay.

Exactly what we wanted

Guest: Janice F.
Date of Stay: 09/25/11 Review Submitted: 10/08/11

I've visited Paris a number of times and stayed in a few different neighbourhoods, and when it came to this visit - introducing my sister and mom to the city - I knew this was the neighbourhood I wanted to be in. This apartment could not have been better located: close to many restaurants and shops, walking distance to many attractions (Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Musee Rodin, etc) and easy access to the metro ... but still a quiet retreat at the end of the day. The booking process was smooth, professional and straightforward. All information provided in advance of our arrival - about the apartment, payments, confirmations, directions and check-in/out process, etc - was accurate and timely. The apartment itself was itself precisely what we wanted. It's compact, but effective: a balance of usable space and privacy when needed. The space was clean, comfortable everything worked as expected. We didn't take full advantage of the kitchen but did have breakfast in each morning (with croissants from a nearby bakery) and a couple relaxed evenings in, with great food sourced from some of the many local market shops. We also didn't take advantage of the laundry but it's super convenient to have, if needed.

great location, great stay

Guest: Jackie (Oakville, Ontario, Canada)
Date of Stay: 08/15/11 Review Submitted: 09/06/11

My family (husband, two teenagers and myself) had a great visit to Paris staying at this vacation apartment this past August. Although the square footage of the apartment may be small, we were comfortable as it has been cleverly outfitted to maximize the space with creative storage. We cooked in the kitchen and found that the beds allowed us a great sleep! The location of the apartment is amazing ... amenities such as restaurants, patisseries, small grocery stores, shops and hair salons (both my son and husband had a "Paris" haircut!) are just steps away. As for sightseeing, there is plenty to do within walking distance and the Eiffel Tower is so close that I don't think a day went by when we didn't walk past it! To go further afield, the metro is only a few blocks away. Also, we found the property manager to be very helpful. She did some research for us and found out that parking a car on the surrounding streets is free in August and she directed us to a movie theatre on the Champs Elysees so that my daughter could see the Harry Potter movie in French! I would highly recommend this apartment. Merci!

Family of 4, Paris Vacation

Guest: Greg B.
Date of Stay: 06/30/11 Review Submitted: 07/19/11

Our family of 4, my wife and I and two kids used this apartment during our 4 night stay in Paris in late June 2011. Our initial reaction upon entry was that it was small, but after settling in; it suited us just fine. It is likely a typical small Paris apartment. The description says two bedrooms, its actually only two rooms, plus a small kitchen, a toilet room and shower room. Seperate shower and toilet room is nice. Kitchen is stocked with anything you'll need for cooking or making your morning coffee. We shopped Rue Cler just a couple blocks away each morning for beakfast and snacks for the day. There is a bank ATM, grocery store and convenience store nearby and it is just two short blocks to the Metro. We strolled to Eifel Tower. Owners were very responsive on initial emails and during the rental process. Paypal had a slight hiccup notifying us of final invoice, but Tom was on top of it and arranged alternate means of payment immediately. Local property manager was also very responsive. She replied to our initial e-mails while we planned our trip and then was very helpful during our arrival. She provided her cell phone number and answered promptly. Check & check out were a breeze. Paypal payment and securtiy refund process worked fine once notification issue was resolved by Paypal. We have already recommended this apartment to friends and would stay there again in the future!

Spring Break in Paris

Guest: Patty (Minneapolis, MN)
Date of Stay: 03/28/11 Review Submitted: 04/05/11

My husband and I brought our two kids (13 and 11) to Paris for spring break. We had a fabulous time. The appartment was a little on the small side for us and the 77 stairs were tough after a long day of sightseeing, however, we were in a great location and we ate alot! We cooked a couple of meals at the appartment and found the amenities were fine. The washer/dryer was a bit of a challenge as it took a long time for the clothes to dry. The bathroom and shower were good and had good water pressure. It was very quiet - which for a loud family with a member that was hard of hearing, we felt like we had to be extra quiet. It was good for sleeping and the beds were pretty comfortable. Thanks to Maite - who met us at the appartment and checked us out. The booking process was really good, fast and easy. We did book the recommended driver - to and from the airport for peace of mind. That worked out well.

Very convenient, nice area

Date of Stay: 03/11/11 Review Submitted: 03/23/11

Our family of 4 (2 kids, ages 12 and 9) stayed at Tom and Elena’s apartment in Paris for 6 days. The apartment is very conveniently located – close to restaurants, the grocery (Carrefour, Leader Price) and Rue Cler. The Metro station was also just a few minutes away. If you are looking for a place that is centrally located but reasonably priced, I would recommend their apartment. The apartment is not big but it was quiet and well-equipped with essentials – the kitchen has everything you need to prepare a small meal if you didn’t feel like eating out. The Wi-Fi access and free calls to the US came in handy as well. The reservation process went smoothly. Tom responded to all my emails promptly and Maite, the apartment manager in Paris, was approachable and professional in the way that she handled the check-in/check-out process. Great experience overall!
