Wonderful location. Our Cabin is only a few years old and has been very popular. We are lakefront with a private dock on the Largest Lake in Virginia! The Cabin is nestled in the trees giving you, your family and pets room to run and play in privacy. Yet, it's only 100 yards from Highway 58, so it's easy to find and doesn't leave you 'in the middle of no-where'. Only 5 Miles to Clarksville or 15 Miles to South Boston!
The Cabin is fully stocked and we are offering FREE LINENS with a 5 Night Plus Stay! Nicely decorated. Very large Bathroom and full sized Washer/Dryer to keep you clean.
For FALL, we recommend Deer and/or Turkey Hunting. There is a lot of land owned by the Corps of Engineers nearby and you can hunt on their land (with VA Permits) Contact us with questions.
Fisherman are welcome. Plenty of room in drive to park your trucks and boats. Pull up close to the outdoor faucet or electrical outlet if needed. Buffalo Park and Boat Landing is just down the road for launching your boat. (The boat launch is double, concrete, nice.) The Park also offers picnic tables and a nice swimming area. We have a new Fish Cleaning Table.
The lake is right out the back door with a gentle sloping path through the trees that is easy to walk. Enjoy sitting on the back deck and get back to nature! Boat Rentals are available in town of Clarksville or at Marina. We live on the adjoining farm so we are right here if you need us or have any problems!!
We have added Fish Cleaning Table and placed a Picnic Table in the backyard for your cookouts!

Greg is a Sales Manager at a nearby wholesale Greenhouse Operation. I manage a Website for my family business. When we are not working on the farm or driving the kids around, we like swimming, boating and vacationing.

Why the Owner Chose Clarksville
We have lived in this area our whole lives and love the Lake! We built this cabin as a source of extra income for our family. We are very proud of the Cabin and its success. The area we built on is very private and gives you the feeling of being 'out in the country'. However, the Highway and the town of Clarksville is nearby. Clarksville has a home-town feeling that welcomes each person. The weather is nice most of the year allowing you to enjoy the outdoors most anytime!
Kerr Lake is Wonderful! It's huge and open and great for sports! It's also beautiful!!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
From the Cabin, you can sit on the back deck and enjoy nature. Take a short walk down to the Lake and our Dock. Most of the time, you can walk the Shoreline of the Lake and enjoy more nature or throw in a fishing line. A lot of Renters have written in our Guestbook about the many fish they caught from our dock.
Local events are pretty frequent (Balloons, Lake Fest, Wine Fest, etc), check out the local websites for more. YMCA and many restaurants are nearby for your convenience!

The description states "only 100 yards from Highway 58". What they don't tell you is that you might as well be next to Interstate 95 with trucks barreling by 24/7. The description states that DVD/VCR/CD Player are available. What they don't tell you is that you need to watch it on a 10 inch TV in one of the bedrooms. Once inside the cabin there are no scenic views unless you want to stand at the kitchen sink and look out the window towards the back lot. The description states "Enjoy sitting on the back deck listening to the wildlife". The only sounds you will hear are the roar of trucks. We had difficulty trying to use the oven with all it's programable features. We contacted the owners and they had no idea how to operate their own oven.
Owner response: Most Renters enjoy the privacy that our Cabin provides. There are no neighbors to worry about and your pets can enjoy the water and outdoors freely. You also have complete access to a private dock. Our Cabin is conveniently located off of Highway 58. Larger trucks can cause an echo off of the Big Buffalo Springs Bridge and is not under our control. Both TV's are setup to play the DVD/CD player. The oven is electric, new and modern; yet very simple to use. The disappointed renters changed the Oven's temperature from F to Celcius which had to be repaired by a Service-person. We immediately responded to the problem but it was not something we could fix ourselves. We will make every attempt to fix any arising problems that occur during your stay. We are local owners and want our renters to be as comfortable as possible. We realize this is your vacation and it is very important to you!

This cabin is everything advertised. A wonderful warm and comfy place for vacation. We thank you for the privacy, and the knowledge that you were close in case we needed anything...which we did not, your place is perfect. We will be back for sure. We really enjoyed staying at your cabin! It was very clean, cute, and comfy place. The location was perfect for us to bring our boat with the convenience of the dock and it was great we could also bring our dog for this quick getaway. We LOVED this quiet cottage! Had a wonderful weekend with all the comforts of home. Just go out the back door to a private dock on Kerr. Our dogs enjoyed the weekend as much as we did - BLESS YOU for being pet friendly! We have recommended "Buffalo Hideaway" to friends and we look forward to staying in the near future! A++++++++!!!

I wanted to thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your little piece of heaven in October for a few days. It was so close to everybody that we needed to visit and was much better and more homey than a hotel room! Thank you for being so accomodating and allowing us to stay for an extra day at the last minute!! Since this place was cheaper than an actual hotel we were able to actually stay an extra day and do some touristy things which we never usually have time to do, it's just visit family and then head home. Again, thank you for everything and you will definitely be hearing from us again.

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and private. Near by Clarksville was quaint and had good restaurants. We enjoyed the Lake House especially. We visited attractions through out Virginia and North Carolina. It was nice to come home to the cattage and rest up for the next adventure. We will be back.

Buffal Hidewaway is a very clean home and perfect for a small family of 4. The short drive to Clarksville, VA makes it wonderful. You have several restaurants to choose from as well a grocery store and pharmacy. You also have several boat ramps just a short drive away.

Buffalo Hideaway is a wonderful vacation get-away that we would highly recommend. The cottage is secluded and beautifully furnished. The location on Buffalo Creek makes it out of the way from heavy boat traffic but convenient to the main lake and boat launch. Pride of ownership is evident throughout the property. The cottage was incredibly clean and well equipped. The owners went out of their way to help us enjoy our vacation with tips on restaurants and fishing. We will visit again and have already recommended the property to friends and family looking for a relaxing vacation.
