A magical 3 bedroom 1770 cottage hidden away in the Hudson Valley comes with a guest barn to sleep additional guests. The property is on one of the prettiest roads in unspoiled Milan, but less than 10 minutes from Rhinebeck, Red Hook, or the Taconic. The buildings are far from the extremely quiet country road that is great for biking or strolling.
The main house sleeps 6 and has 2 full bathrooms. The well appointed kitchen and separate dining room make for easy entertaining. The separate guest house, which is a converted barn dating from the 1880's sleeps 4 and has 1 1/2 baths on 2 levels. It has its own deck overlooking the acreage - close to the main house, but also very private. The buildings can not be rented separately.
Sit on the porch overlooking the 3 acre pond and watch the wildlife - ducks, wild turkeys, deer, geese, herons, hummingbirds and more. Swim in the stream and spring fed pond, fish for bass off the dock, or take a lazy canoe ride. The beautiful 130 rolling acres - part meadow and part woods - have walking trails. There is lots to explore.
