Living room is large and has lots of natural light - Luxurious Central Austin Hidden Guest House Retreat Nestled in the heart of Central Austin, our modern guest house will provide the perfect location for all of your Austin activities. This luxurious retreat was completely remodeled last year with 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 1 living with full kitchen, a washer & dryer and a private wooded backyard and patio. Located just off Lamar, you are about a mile from Austin's best grocery stores (Whole Foods and Central Market), walking distance to the University of Texas and a short drive to any downtown location. You will be across the street from Austin's legendary Caswell Tennis Courts and across the street from Pease Park where you will find the Shoal Creek hike and bike trail leading to Town Lake as well as a frisbee golf course. A cab to the heart of downtown is about $7 and bus stops are nearby. You will feel safe and comfortable perched on a hillside hidden behind an Austin landmark. The front house was an elementary school for over 40 years (the headmaster actually lived in the guest house)!
