If you seek privacy, quiet, and your own beach just a few steps from your back door, you will fall in love with Charlotte's Cottage. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck overlooking the water or on the grassy front yard. Later on in the afternoon, have a glass of wine and enjoy spectacular sunsets. This property has beautiful grassy areas in front and back yards which are perfect for small children and a garden with an outdoor shower! This is not the house across the street from the beach. This is the house on the beach with water views. If you enjoy hearing the waves and you enjoy seeing the water from your front deck this is the place! This is the perfect romantic couple getaway. We welcome all guests with a bottle of wine from a local vineyard.. If you are seeking quiet, privacy and a peaceful experience miles away from the hustle bustle of the city and suburbs, you have found the right place. The cottage is pristine and charming but with all of the conveniences; LCD TV, Internet, etc. If you would like to be more active, enjoy our kayaks. Our beach is a walking beach where you can walk for miles . We are also conveniently located near the public beach for swimming classes and other activities.
Whether it be the summer with all of its water activities, antiquing, shopping and exploring the North Fork and the Hamptons, or the Fall Season with wine tasting and the harvest of the grapes, you will find the perfect getaway at Charlotte's Cottage. There are great restaurants, interesting country stores, nurseries, wonderful parks and historical sights.

Owner Description
Charlotte's Cottage is owned by Fred, Charlotte and Barbara. Fred and Barbara are brother and sister and Charlotte is Fred's wife. Fred and Charlotte live on the Island and manage the day to day activities of the cottage. Barbara is in California and manages the rentals. We love the cottage and hope our guests will feel the same. We do everything possible to make our guests comfortable and guests always comment not only on how charming the cottage is but how clean everything is.

We love the Sound beaches and the North Fork. It has been a wonderful experience updating the original cottage.

I just wanted to write to let you know how much we loved the cottage. It is a gem and we had such a special time there. You put so much thought and care into making it a great house to rent. We had everything we needed and more- to cook with and to play with at the beach. We feel very lucky to have found you on VRBO and would love to rent Charlotte's Cottage again We feel very lucky to have found you on VRBO!

We spent two weeks at Charlotte's Cottage in August, 2009 and had a wonderful stay. Our daughter & son-in-law joined us on weekends. The location is perfect from which to explore Long Island. The property is very clean, well maintained and a delightful combination of old cottage charm & modern comfort. The owners are accommodating; the neighbors are friendly; it was GREAT !
