My wife, who was raised in Elmira, and I, raised in Manhattan, where we lived until 2005, moved to Elmira and purchased this home from my wife, Gail's father, who had chosen the home because it satisfied his unique desire to be near the Town yet be in the Country. As the largest Property in the Community nestled next to a 250 acre Park along the spectacular Chemung River, built for a developer by a prestigious architectural firm, Gail is an architect, it fulfilled his dream. Its three acres allowed for the wonderful Victorian, A one acre Farm and a one acre forest, yet walking distance to the Town.
This provides a truly unique experience and we often visit the property ourselves from our own home to imbibe the its natural setting and "relax"
As an attorney I do not find anything more calming than either sitting down at the farm under the pines or walking our dog from there to the river where he swims and plays with his many friends on the 250 acre park along the river abutting the property.
This is has been a god send to us and we love sharing it with our guests-who react similiarly.
