Villa 13 is an Amangani Hotel home – an exquisite, privately-owned house on the grounds of the famed Amangani Hotel, and part of the fabric of hotel life and amenities. Residents of Villa 13 are considered guests of Amangani, and all of the luxuries of the hotel are available to them at any time – room service, spa, concierge, ski lounge, the long heated pool that is as agreeable to plunge into in January as it is in July.
Villa 13 is set high in the quiet hillside of East Gros Ventre Butte – a stunning, sleek, glass-wrapped building that is as timeless and appropriate to the Wyoming landscape as the mountains themselves. The house is open, spacious and comfortable, and seems built of the land around it – redwood beams and sandstone floors, great swaths of glass, stone fireplaces. The soaring, snowy Grand Tetons rest inside Villa 13’s wide windows like extravagant art on the wall. The open living room, dining room and kitchen are finished in wood and stone; a wide terrace skirts the exterior. Stars seem to hang right over the terrace dining table; and around the corner, a calm, quiet courtyard holds a hot tub. The house’s fitness room is well-equipped for aerobic and anaerobic training, and walled with bright mirrors.
Villa 13 has four bedrooms – one a “bunk suite” with four twin beds – divided between two levels of the house, and furnished in a spare, comfortable Balinese mountain style. Three of the bedrooms have sheltered terraces, gas fireplaces, sitting areas and simple, luxurious redwood and slate bathrooms. The master suite is grand and deeply restful, with incomparable mountain views from the king size bed and the private terrace.
State-of-the-art technology is the rule throughout the house – flat- screen TVs, wireless internet and touch pad control of the sound system and electronic shades. Air conditioning and radiant-heated floors make this wonderful Wyoming retreat comfortable in any season.
The Amangani Hotel and its private homes are just fifteen minutes from Jackson, twenty minutes from the ski slopes, and right in the center of Wyoming’s gorgeous wild heart. |
