Great great property, more than we ever expected, My Aunt of 82 was more than happy, she loved the ease of the house. Their we're two lazy boy recliners, and out side more than expected lounge chairs. The quest bedrooms and bath are on opposite ends of the home from master bedroom, making for great privacy. The property was a 5 star.

This wonderful home is exactly as pictured. My only hesitation in writing a recommendation is that it will book up and it might not be available when we want it! The owners were a dream to deal with and the location is great. We did have to drive to most places, but you never really had to leave..everything is here that you would need.

Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed at this fantastic home and could not have been any more satisfied. The property is extremely well equipped with a great layout and lovely outside space at the rear. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and the lovely river views are hard to beat. Inside the home there's everything you need and the furniture is ample and comfortable as well as having well equiped and clean bedrooms and a fantastic master bathroom. The neighbourhood is so nice and quiet and it's only minutes to the beaches and all the shopping you could want . restaurants in the area are plentyful and we would reccomend you do the boat tour down at Las Olas Boulevard in fort Laderdale for a great day out and don't miss the Butterfly house wich is stunning. (both are within 20 mins of the house). We strongly reccomend this fantasic Holiday rental.

We have benn in COCONUT HAVEN in Augsut 2011, for two weeks. We are: Frank and Ursula (parents) plus Carlos (13), Emilio (11) and Finlay (7) from Germany. Already before we arrived, we'd a very sympatic contact to the owner Mal. For this reasson, we were very excited when we arrived in Pompano Beach. The house, the garden and the area arround are wonderful! Three large double bed rooms. A large kitche. A swimming pool. Hot tube. Two bathrooms. Everything, what we needed and more. The kids had much fun and the two weeks past by, to fast! We plan to come back in one of the next years. Many thanks to Mal for the great organization! Best regards, Frank and family

Gorgeous waterside home

We were lucky enough to stay in this property for 8 days at the end of May/beginning of June. The inside of the villa is lovely and cool with a great kitchen offering everything you could need to cook with. The master bedroom is very private as it is situated at the opposite end of the house to the other 2 bedrooms - great with kids. The pool and everything about the outside area of the property is awesome it is where we spent most of our time just playing in the pool, eating and drinking outside every night just watching the world go by. We loved the company of the many lizards and iguanas that came to see us every day and my son caught numerous species of fish off the dock including sting rays. We visited Miami Zoo, did the duck tour in Miami and used the water taxis in Fort Lauderdale all of which I would highly recommend. If I ever visit this part of the world again I would have no hesitation in returning here - thank you so much for sharing your villa with us.

We stayed in this beautiful villa in 2011 and cannot recommend it enough! The owners are very helpful and communicate promptly. The view from the kitchen is breathtaking and the kids loved the pool, whereas we loved the hot-tub and shower! The villa is very well furnished and contains everything you need during your stay. Overall a fantastic villa and we would love to return soon.

Lovely and great panoramic views of the canal as described. Enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. Open concept kitchen and sitting areas was great for keeping an eye on the kids while cooking. The master shower stall had great pressure and has a door leading immediately to the outdoor patio and hot tub area which makes it easy to clean off. The beach amenities ie. beach towels, beach umbrella , swimming toys, and children's beach toys available for use were great. Also, having NickToons on TV was a good plus for keeping young children busy while cooking. The host provided great customer service, tended to questions immediately, and met us on arrival. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful house!

We stayed with 4 adults in this lovely place and it was just perfect. The house is very well laid-out and has a great location. Shops and restaurants are nearby, the beach is not far. We loved the water canal at the back of the house and sitting in the back yard in the evenings was just relaxing. Pompano Beach itself is a great location to spend your vacation and maybe do day trips to other places. We can only recommend this place and would certainly come back to this house.

My Michigan friends and I just came home from staying in this house and we have to say what a wonderful place it is. Very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We spent most of the time on the patio, swimming, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We even had 2 iguanas visit us every day (we named Lucy & Ricky). We took the boat over to Cap's Restaurant and had a fine dinner along with hearing the history of the private island. Water taxi was a great way to get around and would recommend it. Absolutely no problems renting this home.....Thanks Mal & Dianne - you have a wonderful home to share and we highly recommend it to anyone considering Pompano Beach.

Better Than The Pictures!

My family and I stayed in this house along with my mother-in-law. That's 2 youung children and 3 adults and never did we feel crowded. The house is very spaciuos and very well laid out. The feature we love the most was each bedroom having it's own access via sliding patio doors to the pool. Every thing was provided for and though of, including pool toys for the kids. There is plenty of patio furniture and the BBQ was great, very big and modern. The pool was a very welcome luxury as the ocean was pretty rough at the time and kids weren't enjoying the beach. It was very clean along with everything else. We felt right at home very quickly such was the setup. Mal and his wife were a pleasure to deal with, this was worth every penny and a real great price for what we got!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Pompano Paradise!

We stayed at this home while our son was competing in a karate tournament. It was heaven! The pictures do not do justice to this home. The canal is visible from most rooms in the house and the patio/dock are wonderful places to sit and watch the day slip by. The guys fished off the dock (caught a few crabs!) and we all enjoyed the iguanas. Kitchen is unbelievable but the master bath...well, let's just say that I want this re-created at my house (hint to my husband!) We had a cookout on Sunday afternoon for the karate team. Everyone had a great time and were quite envious when they had to compare their tight hotel arrangements with the space and amenities with this home. Mal and Di have been wonderful hosts - very prompt in responding to inquiries and making sure that all was well before, during, and after our stay. They have gone above and beyond by putting together a fantastic binder which serves as a guide to the home and the community - everything from where the light switches are, where to get groceries, and those favorite restaurants that only the locals know about! We were truly blessed to be able to stay in their home. We hope to be back when the karate circuit brings us back down to Ft Lauderdale!

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

WOW! The pictures just don't do this gorgeous house justice. We enjoyed 7 days here and hope to be back next year. My husband is just sorry he couldn't fit the master bedroom shower into the car to take home - what a treat to have all those jets to choose from - and so roomy (as is the bedroom itself). The house layout wraps around a large, clean pool that is heated at just the right temperature. One side is the master bedroom with sliding doors to the pool AND to the hot tub (so much fun at night). And the other side are 2 other bedrooms and another bath with a tub - keeping the kids or relatives at bay. In the middle is an open living room, kitchen, dining area and computer room fit for architectural digest. Very well planned out, large and comfortable. Ceiling fans in every room made the house very comfortable - of course you can choose to have the A/C's on too. Really, the only negative thing I could say about this place is that we could only stay for one week!! We left tanned (from the pool or go to the beach a few miles away), relaxed and well fed from all of the wonderful restaurants in the area. A few other family members rented other houses in the area. Although the prices were about the same for each, we all agreed that ours was the best of the bunch. Thanks, Mal, for offering this lovely house as a rental!!!

Dream Vacation

The house is one thing: PERFECT You have everything there - nothing is missed. An unbelievable nice view from the living-room, parents bed room and even from the kitchen to the waterfront. The house is furnished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. Huge walk-in closets and the array of cooking/eating equipment etc in the kitchen plus the BBQ in the garden, are all unbelievably opulent. The swimming pool was a joy with WARM water(!) We felt immediately like 'at home' and enjoyed a wonderful Christmas week there. Supermarkets, restaurants are in a short distance. Rental contact was very good. As they say “All good things must come to an end”! Just a note to say how much we all enjoyed our two week vacation in Florida in this house. WE LOVED THIS PLACE!!!! It’s beautiful and would highly recommend this rental vacation home. The owners were so helpful even before they knew that we are taking it. It was worth every penny making the trip across the Atlantic to come to a nice relaxing and enjoyable home for a vacation.

Mal and Diane have provided a lovely rental property. We enjoyed the location and especially the pool! Coming from a cool, gray climate, the sunny local in Pompano Beach was great! We entertained a basketball team (adult men) for a bbq and there was plenty of room for everyone, inside and out! We appreciated the attention to detail that was provided with the house, much more than other property we have rented for a vacation. If we have the opportunity to return to south Florida, we will rent this house again! The floor plan is perfect for getting together for meals and group activities or when space is needed, since the master suite is on the opposite side of the house from other bedrooms. The rental is continuing to be updated and that will only make it better! If a person was in a wheelchair or had other physical limitatons, this would be a good house to rent, as everything is on one floor, with the exception of the washer/dryer which is one step down. The location is ideal for going to the beach, shopping, or dining out. There is also a great movie theatre close by.

Great Vacation Spot!

Our stay at Pompano Beach in this house was really amazing and unsurpassed by any recent vacation. The house was nicely located--close to anything and everything you may want to do. Or you could do nothing but enjoy the pool, scenery, sunny climate, and good accommodations. The house worked very well for two couples traveling together, as we each had our own space (since bedrooms are located at opposites ends of the house), but shared lots of fun times around the pool and cooking/bbqing together using the wonderful kitchen. The owners, Mal and Diane, are spectacular, providing a notebook of information that was above and beyond an owner's responsibility. In fact, we dined at several of the eateries mentioned in the notebook and were never disappointed. Communication with Owner was excellent from the get-go, always timely, answered questions and full of information. All in all, would highly recommend this rental vacation home.

All we can say is Peaceful & Quiet. My wife and I are Asst. Pastors and we took our Sr. Pastors down for a much needed vacation for them and us. True ministry is work!!! The owners were more than accomodating. The house and property are actually nicer than the the pictures, and the pool and canal are absolutely breathtaking. The place was very clean and we loved the little robot vacuum. We also loved waking up to the cool breeze of a sunny South Florida morning; listening to the little dove's sweet smooth small call as the water slowly and calmly flowed outside our bedroom windows. Wait, I think I hear a pan flute playing in the background!!! What a peacful neighborhood! I loved the palm, banana and coconut trees in the yard, and my wife "Loved" the spacious kitchen with the lights and the ceiling fan! We had breakfast outside by the pool and to our surprise, not a flying or crawling insect in sight. We also sat on the dock and watched the ocassional boat go by as we sat and daydreaming as we sipped our coffees. We didn't try out the hot tub, we'll try that next time around. Oh yes, we will be back and next time we Might bring the kids! "Not"!!! Ok, if we have to, darn it Oh, did I mention my wife "Loved" the kitchen! See what you' did? Thank Mal, now you've done it, you've given her vision. LoL Thanks again!
