Managed as a trophy fishery by the Department of Fish and Game, Eagle Lake is open to fishing from the Saturday preceding Memorial Day through December 31. Anglers are limited to a daily bag limit of only two fish, but this unique lake is one of the most popular in California. What keeps anglers coming back is the large average size of the fish, the scenic beauty of the semi-arid mountains surrounding the lake.
