  This house has it all. Fantastic view. Village location and yet is private. Watch seals, eagles, loons, ducks from any seat inside/outside. Oh, and the boats coming/going aimed right at you. Take stairs down to the beach. Have a fire, either inside or in the pit. And the house itself is an interesting 1950's style. Everything is "retro" and works great. You could pay way more to stay in a new cabin 2 lots over, but it is smaller and has every Village tourist right outside your door/windows. Thank you Tammy, for making a very pleasant stay for our anniversary. Rebecca & Dan

  Islands View House felt like home the instant we walked in the door. My mother, sister and I stayed for 3 nights in the off season, and couldn't have had a better visit. Perfect location in Lopez Village within easy walking distance for coffee, shopping and restaurants, yet still felt very private, since the living areas are on the water side of the house. Comfortably and charmingly furnished inside, and the owner has provided everything you might need for your stay - inside and outside. Amazing view from both the downstairs and upstairs deck. If I lived in this house (and I wish I did!) I'd never get anything done because I'd be staring at the view all the time. The owner was easy to work with and very helpful in recommending things to do and places to eat on the island.

  We could have parked ourselves inside, looking out the big picture window, or outside on the deck, just watching the water and the boat traffic all weekend long. The view was amazing and so very relaxing. Our host was super gracious, even bringing freshly caught crab to us! The kitchen was well stocked, nothing was missing. The beds were comfy. It was so nice to be close to the village. It was a fabulous weekend!

  Our family has been spending several days at the Islands View Village House for the past few years and we have loved every minute of it. The house has three good sized bedrooms on two floors, with plenty of space for six adults and two children. There is a “great room” which includes seating for six in front of a huge fireplace and a dining area which seats eight. (Highchair and port-a-crib are available on request.) There is a gorgeous view of the water and the other islands to the west from almost every room in the house and from the pleasant covered patio and yard. The location is perfect: from the street side of the house, it is just a block to the market and the other stores and restaurants in Lopez Village. Tammy, the owner, is very friendly and accommodating and the house is always spotless when we check in. I would highly recommend this house for a family or group of adults.

  Everything positive in this listing is accurate. This home is a perfect setting for a vacation with family or friends, lending itself to as much activity or relaxation as you would like. It is excellently equipped, including an excellent outdoor grill and fire pit as well as some pantry basics, making it easy to prepare meals. The setting is outstanding, with beautiful sea and sunset vistas and a very short walk to the few stores and restaurants on this scenic, lovely island. Tammy is a warm, caring hostess who is rightfully proud of this gem of a home.

  We had a great time exploring Lopez Island from this fabulous location. The house was beautifully appointed with everything we needed. Our hosts could not have been more hospitable. We especially liked the view and being walking distance to the village. We rented bikes, no car was needed for this vacation which made it especially relaxing.

  We spent a glorious 5 days here and our only complaint is that it couldn't be longer! The view is unbeatable and the house design takes full advantage of it. The house is fully equipped with every thing needed and it is spotless throughout. We also enjoyed being able to walk to the market and the shops and restaurants and we didn't use our car the whole time since we brought bikes. It is a great place for bike riding and everyone seems friendly and open. We would very much like to spend more time here.

  We rented this wonderful house for 11 days in August. It is a perfect location right in the little village of Lopez. Well appointed kitchen, open living area attached. We had 4 adults and two grandchildren (had to modify the open stairway for safety with a 2 YO!) This is not a fancy place, very clean and comfortable. Steep stairway to the beach, but a 2 min walk to the Bay Cafe (probably the best restaurant in all the San Juans) to a public stairway to the beach was better. We loved this place so much, we are booking for next year now. Nice to walk to grocery store, Holly B's Bakery, Isabella's coffee shop, and the great bookstore. Owner is very accomodating and local if you need anything. Treat yourself to a great venue on the very best San Juan island. Highlight: sitting on the front lawn (or 2nd floor deck) watching the yachts coming in and out of Fisherman's bay, a Bald Eagle in the tree that you see on the website, and waking up in a bedroom with full view of the water. Enjoy!
