An excellent location, plenty of wildlife to watch at the waters edge. We even managed to catch some fish after four days of fishing! We enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!!! We had a great week. The boys enjoyed swimming and relaxing by the sun deck. The view is amazing. Alot of history to see, but never enough time to do everything! Thank again for everything!

Thank you so much for making us feel welcome in your home. We were looking for a vacation rental near Gloucester to meet our first grandson and host Thanksgiving for our families. It was more than we expected. Wareloch is a destination in and of itself - beautiful views, property and large comfortable rooms. We are looking forward to returning again soon.

Paula, thank you so much! We had so much fun with our out-of-town guests who traveled south for a wedding nearby in Gloucester. The exterior of your property is amazing - the great lawn, private dock and beach are so serene. The views of the stars and moon at night were spectacular! Plenty of room for us all to enjoy doing our own thing or spend great family time together. We are hoping to visit again next year!
Owner response:Wareloch is a great gathering place. I have had many visitors who are in town for a wedding and needed more space than a hotel room can offer. I look forward to hosting you all again!

We are 5 friends who "reunion" somewhere in the US every year. This was the perfect place to get together this year. The locatoin is exceptional and the view spectacular. Yyou hae planned so well to have groups here. The house is comfortable with consideration given to recreational activities in teh house or on the water. We especially appreciate your tips on what to do and where to go during our visit. Thanks!

Dear Paula: We have had a lovely stay at Wareloch. Thank you for the ease it has been to be here and for the friendly way you do business. What a perfect setting for an extended family to enjoy our niece's wedding. We spread outselves out, let down and enjoyed relaxing between the many festivities. Thanks for the place where memories were born.

We came to Warelock for an early Christmas celebration with our family. It was perfect. The house was large and extremely accomodating and the new kitchen was a pleasure to work in. The owner was so thoughtful. She even decorated the house complete with a beautiful Christmas tree. In addition, the view from the house is awesome, especially the sunrise. This was a holiday celebration to remember.

The beauty and serenity of Warelock paired with the thoughtfulness of it's owner makes it the best VRBO in Virginia. Yes, it is in close proximity to many sight seeing attractions, but be prepared, you will not want to leave once you arrive!

Wareloch is beautiful and so private. It is the perfect vacation property for a family with children. There are 90 acres to explore, plus an extremely private beach. The water is shallow for a good way out, and the tide is very gentle. There is also a little cove that is fun to explore with the kayaks provided with the property. And yes, the stars really are brighter and more plentiful there. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing family vacation.

Dear Paula: Thank you for making it possible for us to have such a lovely relaxing vacation. Wareloch is perfect for children. We so enjoyed chasing crabs and minnows, kayaking, floating down the river, building sandcastles and dining "al fresco." We could not get enough of the outdoors here! What a beautiful property! Thank you too for your flexibility in accommodating our travel plans. We are glad to have discovered this little paradise!

Dear Paula: Today was the last day of our wonderful week-long, family vacation. We came with our children and our parents. We went to Williamsburg, Jamestown, Busch Gardens and Water Country. We also had dinner with cousins in Virginia Beach. This morning we went to church and then spent some wonderful lazy time floating on the river - so relaxing! The weather was perfect. Thank you so much for all our fabulous memories.

I've stayed at Wareloch on quite a few occasions with my kids and this truly is a gem of a home and a gorgeous location. To have your own beach and perfect seclusion, and yet be 40 minutes from Williamsburg and the tourist sites there is wonderful. You've never seen the stars shine brighter than they do over the water. The shallow beach is perfect for young kids and the river out front is a sailing haven. The woods on either side of the mile-long driveway are home to deer, rabbits and other wildlife which can be seen if you stroll the drive in the early morning or at dusk. We love it here and come whenever we can!
Owner response:Many families enjoy alternating their days between local attractions such as Busch Gardens, Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown and relaxing by the bay. Spending all seven days and nights sightseeing can be overwhelming. Wareloch gives you the chance to see the sights while preserving your sanity!

Large, spacious rooms with wonderful view from every window. An herb garden outside the kitchen door and blooming shrubs abound to permeate the air with fragrance. The dock goes into deep water; children can surely catch a crab or two. Tis a place that rejuvenates the soul!
Owner response:The dock currently goes to the water's edge. Our plan is to extend the pier next year so that large sailboats and motorboats can to tether to the dock.
