We surely felt blessed to stay at this cabin for week.It was very clean and well-stocked. Large, open, and plenty of room for us to be close to each other but not on top of each other. Out front is a pond with a fountain, a firepit with wood, a gas grill, lots of chairs, and birdfeeders. The inside is lovely, lots of wood, beautifully decorated. The owner was incredible in her being there to answer questions, but not at all in the way. Everything worked well. There is a huge hot water heater so we didn't run out and the water pressure was great for showers. On the main floor there is one bedroom with a queen bed and a second bedroom with three singles and a double. (The double and one single are actually a bunk.) There is a very large bathroom on this floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms with beds that sleep two (not sure if they are queen or double) and a large bathroom that is between them. You do have to go through a bedroom to get to this bathroom. The upstairs bathroom has a shower and a jacuzzi tub. In addition, there is a large open area with a large television and an office. At the back of this is a couch that folds out into a single bed as well. The basement is mostly unfinished, with a gate at the top of the stairs. There is a lovely front-loading washer and dryer, a mostly-finished bathroom with a shower, and a couch that folds out into a double bed sitting beside the washer and dryer. When we were there in July of 2011 there was obviously work being done to get this more finished off, but at this time, it is definitely not as nice as the rooms upstairs. There is also a crib that could easily come to any of the rooms and a high chair. There is a very nice playgym out front. We didn't see a lot of animals there. Two deer were outside the first morning, and we saw a handful of chipmunks, squirrels and birds. There is plenty of parking. There was no shortage of things to do. My kids went ATV'ing and horseback riding. We found plenty of places for them to practice target shooting. We found the ancient writings on the stones. We went to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. We saw the Indian reservation. We hiked to the local falls and saw the lovely lakes. We found a moose down the street in the Wind River. Everyone in town was friendly and helpful. There was plenty of room for us and our four adult kids, but 14 people would be a bit awkward. Bedrooms sleep 2, 2, 2, and 5 people, and any other people would have limited privacy.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2001
About the owner: I built this log home in the mountains in 2001--it is built on property that was originally purchased by my father in the early 70's--at that time we all built a large A-frame. I was born in Lander, WY and grew up in Riverton--both approx. 100 mi. east/south east of here. I worked for Dude ranches, lodge/motel in this same area in the 60's. After living in different states over the years, I moved back to WY permantely in 1999 and choose to live up in this beautiful area. I have been involved in real estate since mid 1980's and hold a Broker's license in both WY and in AZ. I have done property managment, real estate sales, and new and restoration construction. You are always treated as guest, not a "tenant"--your needs are top priority and I will do what is necessary to make your stay memorable and wonderful!
