Biltmore Estates - Only 1.5 Miles & Asheville - Only 3 Miles

Year Purchased: 2006

Why the Owner Chose Asheville

I actually didn’t choose Asheville but rather married into it so to speak. My husband owned a home in Asheville and lived in it for a short time off and on. When we married we moved to Orlando, FL and the house remained unoccupied except for an occasional renter. In 2000 we decided to completely restore the home and after renting it for a few years we decided to sell our home in Orlando and relocate full time to the property in Asheville, a move we never regretted. As luck would have it the home next door to us was for sale and we viewed that as the perfect opportunity to be able to offer a very special “home away from home” for our guests. We bought it and completely refurbished it. Living next door affords me the ability to quickly and efficiently meet all the needs of my guests. My dream has come true so why not come to beautiful Asheville and let me help make your stay one that you will fondly remember.

The Unique Benefits at this House

First and foremost is the incredibly fantastic location to easy access of, The Biltmore Estate, Biltmore Village, Downtown Asheville, and The Blue Ridge Parkway, voted one of the top ten most scenic highways of the United States. All of this is within approximately five minutes of the rental house, yet you will feel as though you are out in the woods. The view from this home is of mountains, flowers, various birds, ground hogs, rabbits and squirrels, seen from the front porch and large picture window in the living room. I take great pride in maintaining the gardens and grounds of my properties, thus I am almost always available to answer questions or help with a particular need you may have.

    • What can we say about your home that hasn't been said? It's VERY clean, inviting, comfortable beds with great bedding, nicely, decorated, lots of brochures, maps, and movies. The kitchen is more than well equipped (who does that kind of cooking on vacation). It's cozy and warm "home away from home" in a great location to see Ashevile. The front porch with rocker, swing and beautiful flowers was wonderful to sit on and relax. That is all TRUE! But what was even more impressive was out hostess, Janis. She was friendly, warm, honest, accomodating, responsive and goes out of her way to assist you in way she can. She made dinner reservations, got Biltmore tickets at a discount, recommended things to do and see, gave good directions and responded to my emails very quickly. From my first email to receiving our security deposit back she was more than prompt. Her customer service is the finest you will experience!! Janis, thank you for EVERYTHING, especially for making Debi's birthday special! We'll be back and we'll send our family and friends. Your new friends, Debi and Rickey

    • Janis, We had a great time here in Asheville. The house was charming and comfortable. I was so excited to see the yard and flowers. Thanks for the cuttings! I can’t wait to add them to my garden at home. The house is so conveniently located. We really enjoyed visiting the Biltmore house and gardens, the many antique shops and our river rafting trip down the French Broad River. We would recommend your house to anyone and will. We really enjoyed meeting you as well. Thanks for Everything!! Terri and Steve Bowden

    • Dear Janis, We are sad to be leaving your vaction home tomorrow, but happy to have many memories of our wonderful vacation at your rental home. Thank you for the details you attend to regarding your home (such as top quality bedding and a stocked kitchen), directions (all organized in an easy to use binder with brochures and current menus!). Free use of a land line and satellite television. A nice washer and dryer and newly renovated clean bathroom. We love… love… love… the setting of your home…..the rocking chairs, the view, the country ambiance, yet minutes from everything Asheville has to offer. I spent a lot of time searching for two bedroom accomodations, within our budget, that was close to downtown yet still in the mountains.... and we were thrilled when we arrived at your home. That was a tall order but your home met all of our specifications. In short, being from the North we truly enjoyed your Southern Hospitality! Last of all you are a delight to work with and we plan to stay in touch. When our travels bring us to WNC we look forward to staying with you again. Thanks so much, Julie, Dan and Emily
