  We spent one week in this lovely home, my family and I loved this home, spacious, beautiful and set back in the woods but not far from stores or the shore....Water was a bit cold at this time of the year but there were plenty of other things to do...Nathan and Becky were wonderful host...I am looking forward to going back year after year....Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your home and hope to see you all again next year...   This vacation rental was absolutely fabulous! We fell in love with it as soon as we pulled in the driveway. I loved the shake shingles and metal roof. The floorplan was also very well thought out making it feel so spacious. My husband, myself our two children and my Mother each had our own place to sleep and we never felt crowded. Although there was only one bathroom, it was so large that we could all get ready and it was never a problem. The location of the home was also perfect for seeing Acadia and the Schoodic area. It was an easy and scenic drive to anywhere we wanted to go. There are so many things to do in the area we are ready to come back. We want to thank you for adding all of the little touches to the home. There wasn't anything missing. We even cooked some lobster we got from a local lobsterman on our last night. I would absolutely recommend this rental to family and friends or anyone else who may be inquiring on this website.

  We had a great time. The house was absolutely beautiful and it was a wonderful size for our family. My husband and I had our two adult children and their spouses, plus our 2 year old grandson and our two dogs. Never once did we feel like we were tripping over each other. The large yard was awesome for our grandson and our dogs, we all spent a lot of time outside. We loved the location due to its close proximity to so many different areas and activities. We went to the Lamoine Beach several times because it was so close to the house. Nate and Becky were great and they provided great customer service, we needed to have Nate come to the house to assist us and he was there very soon after and he contacted us to install the air conditioners due to the unusual warm weather we had during our week. We would not hesitate to rent this again and I have already recommended it to others. We had a great time visiting Timber Tina's show, we actually went 2 times, we went to Bar Harbor twice. We enjoyed doing some shopping at the various shops in the area as well as enjoy the local restaurants. Thank you Nate and Becky, we had a wonderful time, thanks for sharing your home.

  Great open space. Nice size bedrooms. All the amenities of home. It even withstood Hurricane Irene! We enjoyed Acadia National Park, LL Bean outlet shopping and Bar Harbor. Thanks. We're never going back to hotels for week long stays!

  This review is being written at the rental home on what is to be our last full day here. My husband and I booked this home for a week's stay last October or so after scouring online sites looking for that perfect vacation home. I can honestly say this is one of the best vacation rentals we have experienced in our travels. This was our second trip to the region and this time we took my mom so we needed a home with more space. This rental provided the room we needed plus had all the amenities we could ask for - no need to take paper towels, toilet paper, etc from home. It was all here as well as a well as plenty of pots, pans, etc. The open floor plan was wonderful. Mom and I feel in love with the kitchen as it had everything we needed to cook meals plus all the space we could ever imagine. The island came in quite handy when prepping meals. The location of the cottage could not be more perfect as you are not too far from the Bar Harbor area nor are you to far from the Schoodic area. This is definitely a great home base for a weekly stay when exploring the region. Becky and Nathan thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home. We have had a wonderful time exploring the area and enjoyed relaxing in your home during our downtime.

  This property is a great place to get away from it all. The "cottage" is very roomy, with an open floor plan. It's clean and has a well-equipped kitchen. The owners are very responsive to the needs of their guests. I especially enjoyed the hummingbird feeder hanging from the porch. We were able to get to Acadia/Bar Harbor in about 30-45 minutes, but also found that we could easily enjoy the other part of Acadia at Schoodic Point. We also enjoyed the sculpture tour, which starts in Southwest Harbor and ends in Millville. I would highly recommend this property.

  My family and I just got back from one of the best vacations ever. This home has everything you need and more. There were 7 of us and we never had any issues. The house is beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed coming back to rental each day after our day excursions. The pond down the road was great. The kids, my b/f and brother enjoyed canoeing and fishing. One day they even saw a Bald Eagle catching fish in the pond. The state beach is about 2 miles from the house and we enjoyed picnicing and relaxing on the shore. The ride to Bar Harbor only took us about 30-40 mins. which was great. I definately recommend this rental home to anyone. Beck was a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Becky & Nathan for letting us stay at your place. You definately have a piece of tranquility.

  This was a great house to rent. I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and clean it was, as I don't think the photos here do it justice. In fact, the place looks slightly different in the photos, with different living room furniture and kitchen set-up in real life. Better in real life though! I would recommend to the owners to update the photos online. I was happy with the owners customer service and I would always get a prompt reply whenever I emailed them with a question. The towels were some of the softest and luxurious I've ever used! We had 6 adults staying here and although using one bathroom between all of us was a bit tight, it was doable for one week. We used the gas grill to cook almost every day and I thoroughly enjoyed having my coffee each morning outside on the open deck. The only thing that I was confused about is the "shore access." There is no direct shore access that you could walk to (at least none that I could see, nor was it made clear) unless you drive a few miles to the other side of Racoon Cove. We did not end up using the canoe, but there is indeed one there. I would definitely rent this place again without a doubt and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good value in the Acadia area, but doesn't mind going the extra mile to get to/from MDI. Bar Harbor was a good 30 minute drive; Ellsworth shopping strip about 15 minutes. This is definitely one of the most beautiful regions of the U.S. and this rental provides a great base for exploring the area.

  My two teenagers and myself rented this cottage in August and it was fantastic. It is well equiped and very well maintained. The owners were fantastic. It is in a good location to go to many parts of the coast. We had a great time. I would recommend this rental to families with children. It is very peaceful.
